Great explanation!
Wow thanks I’m learning cybersecurity and it’s nice to get in depth with some networking here and there
Great video man!
Thank you for your videos & explaining everything in plain English!! 😄
Glad you like them!
This is a great introduction. Do you plan to make more detailed videos about resolving DHCP conflicts across LAN's with multiple routers and many diverse clients?
Thank you for the positive feedback. Forwarded your suggestion to our creative team.
How is it possible to set dhcp to give a fix IP address to one of end users in RMS?
@@bgkkgb1687 By using DHCP Reservation
Great, but would have been nice to learn what lease time you should set...
Sounds like it doesnt matter.
Default DHCP lease time on Teltonika Networks devices is 12 hours. The ideal lease time varies based on network size, device activity, and the desired balance between efficiency and flexibility. Shorter leases offer flexibility for dynamic IP allocation in dynamic environments, while longer leases reduce DHCP overhead and provide stability in static settings.
DHCP servers can assign class A and B IP adresses too?
The DHCP server can assign IP addresses within the defined DHCP scope, which can be set according to the network's requirements, including those of Class A and Class B.
Can I turn my dhcp lease off?
