Avoiding heat and using oils turned my hair around. My hair is long maybe a drop longer than yours but dark brown but my hair is snobbish with hair products, I cant get away with most drugstore. Maybe because it’s course, wavy and frizzy. Another thing we have in common is Madison Reed. I have allergies to certain hair dyes and that brand I can still use. It makes my hair so shiny and doesn’t dry it out. Ulta has it on sale 1/2 price a few times a year so I buy a few.

Hey there, Beautiful! I do some of the same, but don’t wash as often. I probably should because I sweat all the time. Either it’s a hot flash or an exercise sweat, or a lovely night sweat but anyway😂🫠…I love those kitsch scrunchies as well. I do sleep in them. I think the difference is, I just put them way on top of my head where I would put a messy bun and my scrunchies whether satin or terry cloth stay hi there put. Have a wonderful rest of your week.

VERY sweet of you & helpful!!🥰💕We literally have the exact same hair (texture, thickness, length) but mine's just a deeper copper/auburn❤I've used Sun Bum 3-1 for awhile too and actually bought those scrunchies because of you (one of your older vids) awhile ago - hee! They're great, thx! I don't like blow drying my hair either so just get the dampness out then let air dry. I'll definitely try those Garnier products for the hydration as I've been using a lot of the expensive brands but honestly, they just aren't cutting it! (Pureology/Redken)...need more moisturizing cond's! The shampoos are ok👍Too bad we don't have Trader Joe's here in Canada😥but will def look for a good Argon oil or a hair oil as per your suggestion - if works for you, it'll work for me! Lately I’ve been trying rosemary oil. My daughter uses it and she has such shiny hair. It smells good too. Do you color all of your hair each time. I think you do. I watched a video before and I think that’s what you did? I’m wondering if you ever do just your roots. This may be the cheater way but that’s what I do. Your lighter color is so pretty. Beautiful hair my friend . I wish I had a trader Joes here . We can’t even order here in Canada. I’ve been wanting to try that gisou oil . What I’ve been using lately just discovered and it’s not expensive . The serum by tresseme . I was hesitant cause I never used that brand but my hairdresser recommended it and it’s amazing . Also doesn’t have alcohol denat and some other chemicals it’s really a nice serum . I try not to use heat as well . Have a beautiful Sunday ❤

So many people love TJ’s. I can’t drive an hour or hour and a half depending on traffic to buy a few things. It’s too crowded around here. Shame we can’t order.
Hi Dawn! So nice to see your pretty face, and your hair is gorgeous! I had a buzz cut for 6 years (talk about easy!) and decided last February to grow it out. I don't color it or anything and I really like the silvers! I've been mixing equal portions of Castor and Jojoba oil and then adding a few drops each of rosemary, lavender, argan, calendula and mint essential oils and using that once a week or so before I wash my hair. It seems to be working nicely, though my hair isn't as long as yours yet! I don't use any heat either, my hair is thick and loosely curly, any heat would probably make it frizzy. Fun to see how it does. Thanks for sharing what you're doing for your gorgeous hair. ❤

Your oil mixture sounds amazing. I’ll bet it smells so good too. It is fun to grow out short hair. It’s fun to experiment with new ways to style our hair. It can be surprising too! I noticed more silvers, and the texture of my hair changed during menopause! Like you, I don’t mind. It’s just a normal part of life.

Dawn, I'm new to your videos. I'm curious about your diet and exercise. Have you done a video about that recently? You look fabulous ! Perimenopause is causing weight gain and recently hair shedding ( more than usual). The shedding is probably more from stress, but the density has been affected a lot more than I'm comfortable with. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I so wish had I inherited my mother‘s hair. It was so thick that she lost half of it during chemo and it was still thicker than most peoples hair. Lol. I think I’m in a vicious circle. I need heat because my hair is so fly away and looks so unkept. So I have to do something with heat to make it look tidy. But then the heat makes it behave worse. I think I need to go on a desert island. Anyway, I loved this and your hair is beautiful.

Hi Dawn, we just got back from a trip to Vegas, my grandson asked me if I would take him on his 21st birthday, of course I told him yes, two of his college buddies flew in to celebrate with him, my daughter and son-n-law also came, we had a great time, now I’m trying to catch up on the videos I missed.
I’ve always thought you are such a stunning lady and I’ve always loved your hair and color. Lucky you for getting excellent genes. Oh I wish my hair would dry like yours when air dried, nope I’m a big Texas frizz bomb so I have to blow dry it and float iron it. I’ve been using lately hot rollers instead. Maybe I missed it but since you workout everyday do you wash it everyday?😘

Aww! I really appreciate your sweet comment! I do wash my hair most days. I sometimes use a cleansing conditioner that is very gentle.
