Lovely. Yes, been there too, way back in the 1980's and at other times. I remember one house had a fire.... I think there was a flying saucers cuz of the 'close encounters' movie whenever that was. Yes did Butlins' a few times as a child. Great memories.
Fantastic bill its certainly changed a bit since we went in early 90's when staying in good old Bickford lane 😁looks so much bigger lots move model's too super stuff thanks for sharing mate
Thank you Bill for taking us to the Model village. Congratulations on your new figures. This video should bring I a lot more viewers. We watch every day since we discovered you 3 months ago. Keep up the good work.
Lovely video again Bill, so many memories from when I went as a boy. Nice to see that they have kept some of the older models and displays like Oddicombe beach and the Cliff Railway. Looking forward to more content from Babbacombe and beyond. 👍👍👍
Hi bill super video, i went there with my parents one time on holiday it was of an early evening so everything was lit up it was wonderful, thanks bill brings back memories, we used to see there white pickup go around with it advertising model village,🙂
That was brilliant Bill.. really enjoyed that and made us chuckle. When you zoomed in to the Only Fools and Horses van... I thinkI saw Only Food and Sauces.., The makers there have a great sense of humour! Thank you.
@@BillsPhoneTeignmouth Happy Christmas time to you and yours Bill! I remember the first vid of your I saw.... You got a pebble off the beach for your Grand daughters fairy door..I think it was! Thanks for all the adventures.🌲❄️🐦
hi Bill, the model village gas certainly changed since I last went there There used to be a model of the Walls Ice Cream factory here in Gloucester. I do remember the burning house though.
We ladt visited in 2014.Absolutley loved it.We visited it twice once in the day and again on a night. The only thing is the restraunt was expensive. My mum paid £2.50 for a pot of tea and a scone. Loved the observation deck. Thanks for the video
Hi Bill hope you're well. A most enjoyable virtual walk around Babbacombe model Village, i can remember going there, must have been in the late 60's during a family holiday and being absolutely fascinated by it. As my late father was a keen photographer I expected my Mum has some slides of our visit. Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen
Glad you enjoyed it - Something a bit different - Another subscriber has pointed me towards a 25 second clip of the model village from 1968 - I'm going to add that into tomorrows video (live on the 24th) 👍
They are all gone now! 'The Range' a UK superstore chain, selling cheap homewares has taken its place - Remember them well though - Directly across the road from my Grannies B&B - And my Sons, Mothers, Grandfather, used to be one of the resident potters there, giving displays to the tourists 👍
Kents Cavern, further down - Yes, ben there in the past, and its also on my list for future daytrips - I actually shot A LOT in Babbacombe that day... Its all going to be appearing over the next couple of weeks - If I get a good response to it, then I'll make the caves part of my next excursion 👍
Hi Bill another great video with a massive bird in it!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 have you watched Vive Torbay: Travelling to the British Seaside (1968) | British Pathé it features the very same model village in it along with a few famous faces.
Not yet, but once Ive finished replying to all my comments, I'll go and take a look for it - Cheers 👍 Edit to add - Thanks - I'll use that little clip of the model village in tomorrows video 👍👍👍
Thats a shame - Something for your 'Bucket List' then perhaps? Although, I can understand that unless you live near one, its hard to justify a long trip to visit 👍
@@BillsPhoneTeignmouth I live in Newtown, Birmingham but my mother has told me about this model village and we are going to go there, to this one in particular, I like the look of it.
Thank you Bill my it's been about 50yrs since I was last in Babbacombe it's changed somewhat 😮much enjoyed thank you stay safe ❤😊xx
Glad you enjoyed it Pamela - Lots more of Babbacombe to come in the next week or so, in amongst my usual walks 👍

Cheers mate - Actually in a way, it was your video that gave me the kick up my ass I needed to get over to Babbacombe & start filming 👍👍👍
That was so enjoyable, Bill☺ thank you, thank you 💐
Glad you enjoyed it - Lots more 'Babbacombe' stuff over the next week or so - Cut in with my normal walks 👍
Model villages remind me of dollshouse furniture and dolls.
Indeed - Very much like a collection of outdoor dolls houses 👍👍👍
What a great attraction enjoyed that !
Thanks Al - Yes, something a bit different 👍
That was great bill really enjoyed it it is such a nice place for a day out 😀👍👍👍👍
Yes it was - So nice I even took my Granddaughter over there today! Off Camera of course 👍

Cheers Bob - Yes, that sounds about right with the flying saucers - They do seem to keep up with current trends there, I have to give them that 👍

Yes, I'm sure it has - I don't really remember that much of it myself from years gone by though - other than it was a yearly treat 👍
