I just picked up a Darkstar and got it configured yesterday. Runcam Wasp on board and ELRS for $269 to the door. Beautiful fpv feed. I got 5 minutes tame cruising out of a 550 today at lunch with some wind, but it seems a bit heavy, especially on descent. Flew one battery part Angle part Horizon modes and got around 4 minutes. I like it but if you try to come down fast you will get some prop turbulence. Overall for the money it's great, but would have been better on 3S I think.
I have the Iflight 35 and it’s too loud to fly around anyone . I think the prop guards ,weight , small props all play into how loud they are. The small frame prop guards I think are gonna help with this problem like the dark star and other frames
Nice! Very comprehensive comparison between these two quads. I just got a Darkstar 20 as well. But how did you get rid of the DARKSTAR text that shows up in the goggles while flying? My Darkstar will not connect to Betaflight Configurator 10.10. I've tried and tried, but it just can't connect. I'd really like to adjust the PID settings. Keep up the good reviews!
I'm getting about 2:30 flights pushing it. But I obsoletely love it. I filmed a few kids on motorcross the other day and I was able to keep up with them and get incredible footage where the Cinebot 30 was great for the Adults. I plan to use the cinebot 35 v2 on some pros soon The darkstar I'm using betafpv 450's and they work great. it does come up with low battery often but it keeps going.
I received my dark Star last week. I have new HV gnb 550. I get about 4 minutes with these batteries. I am really enjoying the dark Star. Here are a couple things that may help others that buy this drone. First is this drone does not have the traditional 2 sets of tones when plugging in . It only has 2 quite beeps. At first I thought I got a dud. Freaked me out until I plugged into betaflight. Everything was normal there. 2nd is if you get the crossfire receiver . I could not get it to bind to my radio. It will only work if your radio has firmware at least 6.1 or higher I believe. Once I did the update, it bound very quickly. But then I had to update and rebind all my other drones lol😂 . honestly it went really quick . You do not have to push that stupid bind button while plugging in .... Just plug in battery then put radio into bind mode and boooooom it's that easy! Butttt it would have been nice if geprc put some of this info in the box lol😊 so far I absolutely love this drone. So quiet for a pusher. Thank you GEPRC
@ldnwalkandfly8617 I actually gave the darkstar to a good friend. I loved it but it just didn't have enough power. I was starting to get a little bored. I saw a review of the oddity XI20. It is the same 2inch form factor but it's 4s with a top mount battery with a traditional battery strap. I absolutely love oddity 's attention to detail . Check it out if you have a chance. It is a cool little ripper. Enjoy the darkstar 20 it is an awesome quad when used for what it was made for!

I flew my dark star in 16 mph gusts, it shook around but I was able to use the footage.
And the drone got ran over (by car) so not ideal, LOL!
