They have multi-point connection now with a firmware update. It could use some tweaks in my opinion to improve the user experience with the multi-point connection, but it works.
Multipoint connection is coming to these earbuds soon. Also improvement on mic quality. Just don't know when the firmware update with these fixes will come but Sennheiser has confirmed this
Great review, thanks for that. I just bought the Sony XM 5 on black Friday but sent them back as they were quite underwhelming, especially at the price point of 260 USD (I live in Switzerland by the way, but prices here tend to match US prices). Then I got the Sennheiser Momentum 3TW for 149 which is incredible. On the consumer market they're about the best sounding buds, even one year after their release.
Just got Sennheiser MWT3, price at Best Buy about $279. Target online $179 but needed them same day.. $311 with tax and same day delivery. But worth it. Got Beats Pro for $299 at Walmart. Sennheiser MWT 3 hands down sound quality. Bose and Beats were my go to buds headphones and speakers. My new favorite .
You make a great point when highlighting the fact that you cant get boomy bass even when using the app. If a band deliberately makes bass heavy songs or dynamic songs, its important to know whether or not the buds are capable of reproduicing that genre using the app. Thanks!
I have several pairs of earbuds and the MTW3 are easily my favorite. They EQ well in my opinion and just overall really enjoy them every time I use them. *** Another good review like always 💯
The fact that Sennheiser has been dodging you speaks volumes to me about their business practices. I feel if they were truly interested in bringing the public a better product they would buck up and deal with the criticism in a positive manner.
I mean they sent pairs to multiple people. No offense to Gamesky but I'm sure sending them to flossy and other youtubers will give them the profit that they need. I wouldn't say that they were being shady necessarily... They even sent them to the Asian self proclaimed audiophile dude who ALWAYS dogs them in reviews so I feel like they just forgot about him unfortunately.
I have had a pair of these for about a week now. I have been using Jabra Elite 75t and 75t Active earbuds for a while. There are a lot of little things Jabra does just a little better than the Sennheisers. When I am connected to a second device on the Jabras, I can still access the app to control sound options, see the battery life and do whatever else I want to do with the app. With the Sennheisers, if I'm connected to the second device, I can't access the app on my phone. This is a frustration. I hope they fix it with a future update. Another little feature that the Jabras offer that these Sennheisers do not is a way to turn the earbuds off without returning them to the case. If I click the buttons on both earbuds at the same time on my Jabras, they turn off. If they are off and I click and hold both buttons on the Jabras, they turn on. This is a nice feature. There are many times where I have left the case somewhere else, or I just want to turn them off for a few minutes while I do something else. With the Sennheisers, I either have to take them out of my ears and just set them down turned on, or find the case. Another thing about the Jabra app, the equalizer has more options. There are only three bars to manipulate in the Sennheiser app. Jabra offers 5 equalizer bars. As far as sound, I like both pretty much equally. The Sennheiser battery life is very nice. They have been spontaneously powering off and on. My Jabras have done that, but the Sennheiser have done it like 4 times this week. I may contact them about it.
This is interesting... I have owned both the 75t anf 85ts and I've had a tonne of stability issues with the extra features the Jabras offer. At points, it became a frustration. I have the M3s now; just picked them up. My first impressions were that I miss the deep, rich bass that the Jabras always came out swinging with... but at the same time, the breadth of musical genres that the M3s play at a satisfyingly high quality seems like a fair trade off when compared to the bass heavy Jabras. On balance, the M3s feel like a worthy upgrade so far!
The biggest difference between these and the LP3 for me at least is that they actually stay in my ears. I have tried multiple ear tips such as comply and others and they still fall out. The MTW3 ANC is also better and right below the Sony and bose imo. I go to the gym in my earbuds where they play super loud music. The MTW3 completely tune them out where the LP3 don't but that might be because like I said, they do not fit in my ears at all.
I agree 💯 I love my lp3 but for some reason the right one falls out of my ear and the ear wings get loose. My mtw3 are awesome and don't fall out and I don't even use the ear wings
It largely depends on the sound profile you're looking for. Better is subjective. I have all three and I'd say the Sennheiser is more refined in sound. Soundcore and 1More are both much more aggressive. Sennheiser is much better for long listening (less fatiguing) because the treble rarely gets harsh even if the volume is turned up high. It doesn't match the bass quantity you can get out of the other two but the quality is there and enough for most I think unless you're a straight up basshead.
I was wondering where you were when these were released. Nonetheless enjoyed watching as per usual. I'm still rocking my Sennheiser Momentum 2's and your review back then had a lot to do with that.
Hello Gamesky, in your experience, do you think a TWE like the SM3 will sound better, more clear o "higher resolution" than lets say a Moondrop Aria IEMs? In other words, a more "premium" TWE will sound better than a good but cheaper IEM???? Thanks!!!!
What turned me away from these is the adaptive noise cancelling. When I use the ANC option I always have it set on full effectiveness and this is something that can't be done with these. That and the price was enough for me to say no thanks.
If you use these "Adaptive" there's nothing more than a marketing term. These have true full ANC that stays on 100% just like any other earbuds. It doesn't "adapt" to anything lol

Well, the Sennheiser consumer products since this year no longer belong to Sennheiser Germany. They were bought by Sonova, a Switzerland based company for hearing care. They bought it for 200 Million Euro. All headphones and the soundbars are now Sonova under license of Sennheiser.
$250 is too steep to not be the best in any category. ANC? Nope that's Sony or Bose. Sound? Nope that's B&O. And no multi-point now? That's a no for me dog.
The B&O are $400 and by all accounts, do not possess significantly better sound. If you're after a pair of buds with almost best in class sound for $150 less, these are a good bet. I personally don't care that much about ANC, especially for in-ear buds which already have good passive noise isolation by way of design.
If Sennheiser did blacklist you then they just lost the "premium audio" status. Considering I got the Lypertek Z5 for £38 brand new, pairs like these are a waste of money.
