As others have said, I too have randomly stumbled upon your channel and was immediately captured. I've been wanting to read Kierkegaard for some time and this video convinced me to pick up Either/Or, and I have to say I love the book so far! Can't wait to read more of his works.
Please keep up the great content, I thoroughly enjoy your videos and your taste in books! So happy I found your channel.

4:12 This is my favourite quote from the entire book. I did not interpret it as expressing an emptiness, but rather a healthy detachment from the vagaries of society. When one is not attached to the contingent values that society happens to hold in high regard at a given time, one becomes free to find oneself and search for what lies under the surface. It was interesting to see the similarity of such a message with the central idea of Zen Buddhism.
I loved this book. It wanders all over the place, is chaotically unsystematic and touches on just about everything in life.

Love to hear your interpretation of the book. Finding new ways of reading Kierkegaard just reminds me of how all encompassing his philosophy was.
