    Just finished the book and yes, Nietzsche's God is dead thesis is confronted head-on. Fortunately, Raskolnikov appears to realize this at the end, when his love for Sonya opens his eyes and points him to the New Testament and, by implication, faith in God. Thanks for the video and your insight. Now absorbed in Tolstoy's A Confession and Other Religious Writings....
