Her "boyfriend" Ben is from Kentucky, a state that has had substance abuse problems throughout history. From moonshine to amphetamines to opiates and opiods. She can't just extrapolate that into saying all American High School kids are doing cocaine.
You two are quickly becoming my favorite people! Your conversations are intelligent, funny and introspective. You have a great ability to see many sides of a situation and present it in such a genuine fashion. Much love and respect from the great state of OREGON 🌲.
Grocery prices are different depending on where you shop. Walmart prices are cheaper than Kroger. Kroger is cheaper than Giant Eagle. Giant Eagle is cheaper than Heinen’s. So, it really depends on where you shop.
You're right, grocery prices depends on location. And she's also right that groceries are quite expensive. That's why a lot of us use coupons or wait for sales to get certain things and to stock up on things. It's the only way we can really save. I've been using Aldi which is actually a German grocery store as my main store to go to to fill up and stock up in my pantry and refrigerator for things because my kids are out of school and they eat me out of house and home. They are constantly eating 😂
"Drugs" have different effects. That's why people have different drugs of choice; it is also why weed is Not a "gateway" drug. It does Not lead to "harder" drugs, because that would lead to different effects. No one would replace what they get out of weed something that wouldn't give them what they want, and by the same reasoning a heroin user wouldn't switch to weed....something that Most people still don't understand about drug use.
My Aunt had battled cancer and the only thing that helped was smoking weed. It helped her pain and was the reason she didn’t live over the toilet throwing up constantly. It help save her life because she couldn’t tolerate pain killers, it made her very sick. To this day, she has never taken any other drip or prescription drug.
I love Aldis grocery store. It is cheaper there. Trader Joes is also awesome and cheap. Also, she's right about the circumcision 😄 People here thought I was crazy when I told the doctor not to circumcise my son. To me, it was the kindest thing I could do for my baby boy.
Grocery prices are very regional and store specific. If you go to cheap stores like Aldis or Winco you will find very cheap prices. If you go to Whole Foods you will not. Cities will also be much higher priced than smaller towns.
HEY down here strawberries, in season, go for a $1.99 to $2.50 a pound at Aldi (I shop aldi 2-3 time a month) or Wally World (WALMART) Feli is either shopping out of season or shopping at the most expensive store in Cincinatti
6:20 weed can be a first step, but also a last step. My family has largely ditched its pill addiction for just smoking weed. Happened after my grandmother overdosed and died on pills. I statistically was going to be prone to have a pill addiction. In reality I don’t even drink alcohol because I’m fine with weed. Have no reason to use anything but weed, Im growing it myself
Just remember, no matter what Feli says...... you can get your own detachable showerhead for your shower. You do not have to use the basic hardware that comes in your shower. lol She has harped on this in several videos and you've seen what our stores look like! A few years ago, I got an amazing detachabble showerhead on Amazon for $4. Also, she does a video from her home in Munich and shows some of the stuff she misses and often talks about when comparing. Those German blinds..... OMG, I want those so bad. Why those aren't universal is crazy to me. Average German salary is about ~20K USD/Euro lower than the average US salary, so that could explain the cost of things like groceries.
Circumcision in the U.S., has nothing to do with religion here, unless you are Jewish. It’s a cultural thing. I don’t know when the practice started but here, when you have a child the hospital will ask if you want your son circumcised. They usually do it the day your son is born. Most people generally choose the same as what the father has. So the practice has never really changed much. I think used to be viewed as being more hygienic. I think people are more educated now though. It’s weird that she would even bring this subject up. Why is this even important? Who cares?
While the alcohol is indeed problematic, it has some historical reasons. First: wine, beer and mead historicaly were much more sanitary than often contaminated water (and the wine degrades into usable vinegar). Before modern medicine, during the black plague (that killed about 30%-60% of Europeans depending on the region), the alcohol was very important for sanitary reasons as water was dangerous (because of the overall decay, overflowing cemetaries, poisoning of ground water, even if main spread of disease were flies and rats, not water alone). Second: The Christians have wine to some extent asociated with Jesus, therefore the Christian church was always more tolerable. And it were the cloisters who brewed beer and wine also. (BTW the Black Plague is one of the main reasons why Christians accepted burial by cremation, for sanitary and practial reasons. Some Pre-Christian European tribes did cremate, but Christians originally preferred the burial in ground, even after the plague)
The drug problem is real here, I've only smoked weak cheap before and it was not for me. I. t just made me feel sad for some reason when I smoked it. There are small time drug dealers in most highschools/middle school's, it's very common unfortunately. Edit: * cheap weed
Awwww hiiii guys!!! I just LOVE your videos. You're so welcoming and warm and I love how you subtly teach me about Algeria in every video 🥰 Hope you're doing well! Greetings from Mississippi, USA
Hi i am from the US and have lived the majority of my life in the state of Tennessee. I remember hearing about drug problems, but I personally never experienced it, and that my be in part of me not being the most popular growing up. However I do believe it mainly has to with the community I grew up in it was very religious I even attended a religious private school, private school means the government doesn't influence the school curriculum but it also means its not free you have to pay a tuition, because the school doesn't get government funding. This is also why we had a class every year dedicated to religious studies, and an hour set aside for prayer and worship, in high-school I do remember there also being random drug test like 2 to 3 times a year, which you may not get away with at a public school especially because they cut your hair to treat it not swab test. A swab test if you had a heads up any drugs could be flushed out within 24-48 hours but with hair thats gonna show up for months maybe a year or longer depending if the cut to root or not. I was never one of they " randomly" choose to be tested but do remember a few guys in my class coming in with freshly shaven heads and chugging water, yeah that wasn't suspicious. They did not test positive on swab test hut were still expelled for like 2 months foe suspicious behavior. The government actually did help lower the opioid crisis by making it extremely difficult through legal channels, to get any kind of medication that is labeled a controlled substance. I know because I have some major health issues one of which is a nerve condition, which causes a great deal of nerve pain, awful type of pain that attacked your nerves system. Do regular pain medication doesn't work you have to take something that will the nerves in your body, which are like all controlled substances. It took me a few years to finally get prescribed this medication, only after all the weaker stuff failed. And its still a pain bc I still have to go to the dr. Every 3 months to get it renewed and not over the phone i have to physically go to the office and have a conversation like this, so hey you know that nerve condition you have that there is no cure for and we can't reverse the nerve damage already done ? Yeah.... Well would you like me to refill that medication for you? Yep that would be great great. Ok see you another 3month by the way. The pharmacy said they were concerned bc you called the medication in a day early!!! Yeah to see if they had it in stalk and even they did give it me a day early ! What would actually happen I'm not selling a single pill I actually need those to no be suffering and at this dosage if I did take one extra pill it wouldn't kill me it wouldn't even make slightly high, I don't think it would even make dizzy, it would make even less in pain maybe even relaxed but that's it. What I wanna know who's finding these sketchy Dr.s and "pharmacies" they cant be licensed ! Do those Dr's their getting "prescriptions" from even graduate medical school ??? Or is it bribery that has to be it well I don't have any money to bribe. A Dr. Or a pharisist both those are well paying jobs who's bribing them??? They have be buying off the streets and that would give me a heart attack it would be a o obvious I was doing something illegal ill just stick to the annoying long legal way of getting pain medication. Oh and besides alcohol and weed but not every state not Tennessee weed is illegal. Cocaine heroine acid all illegal if she had caught with any of that on a student visa she would have been deported back to Germany.
Our groceries might be more expensive then Germany but I am 99% sure the portion sizes are definitely bigger here. Prices will vary from State to State...but honestly the prices are steadily rising on the daily everywhere. Yes drugs are a big problem in the States....the opioid epidemic is real.
Let’s talk about how she said I’m not going to tell anyone not to do drugs and the brother on the right looked at camera and said “don’t go drugs.” Best part of the entire video. Bravo! She obviously needs to re-evaluate the type of people she chooses to befriend and associate with. Also, very inappropriate of her to make such a comment about American men.
More Americans are going back to natural medicines and are also starting to buy locally from their farmers and ranchers in their state not only to get better food but to support the local farmers and ranchers
Drugs, especially weed, along with drinking alcohol, is very common in colleges in the US. Whether thats right or wrong to people, college kids are known for doing some drugs and sadly peer pressure and college life is a real factor.
There is a big anti circumcision movement in the US right now. Doctors here don’t recommend for or against it now they just give the option and more people are choosing against it.
Oh no! This is going to be one of those videos where some of my fellow Countrymen are going to get all bent out of shape and suggest that our friend, Feli should go back to Germany😬
@TacomaGirl Yeah. I can understand being annoyed at people who visit briefly and cast judgement based on a two-week vacation in one small part of the country. But she lives here. She chooses to live here. And she has plenty of positive things to say about living here as well✌️
@@RealDiehl99 people are too fragile about it. Like you said, she's said plenty of good about it here and she chooses to live here. Having criticism for something doesn't mean you hate it 🤷🏻♀️ I just don't get the defensiveness
Where I live, we’re really trying to crack down on the opioid crises. I need my drivers license just to buy regular cough syrup. My cousin died of an overdose, though, so I understand why the strictness is needed. She was not a bad person, and did not deserve such a death. The only way to get opioids is by prescription, but even then the doctors make sure it’s absolutely necessary. No automatic refills or anything. But what do you mean our food is poisoned? Just wondering.
I’m guessing he’s referring to processed food over more natural type ingredients… sorry about your cousin. It’s sad what these things have done to so many families. ❤
Weed is mainly a gateway drug to harder drugs primarily because it's illegal--& illegal drug dealers sell hard drugs as well as weed. When weed is legal & available in stores, you don't need an illegal drug dealer.
As a non religious daily weed smoking college graduate with my own business and own two houses.... you're view of marijuana is ignorant (and I mean that will all due respect). Perhaps your ignorance to marijuana and why people do it is much like how Americans and other people can be ignorant to Muslims. Being open and understanding is better than being ignorant and stubborn.
Yeah but you can't blame them. The false information they're spreading is what I was taught in my Midwestern school a couple decades ago. The difference is most of us knew that they were lying buffoons and we didn't take anything they said seriously... Cuz just about everyone we knew smoked weed.

It only became popular because of some 19th century Kellogg silliness
Depend where you shop. That’s not true. Making it at home is best and more healthy. We haven’t gone to fast food in years. And only when we had the grandson going to school in our town. The other private and personal conversation 😮 Sorry gentlemen that remains private. I enjoy listening and watching your videos. Thank you 🙏🏼
Those mugs would make good ice tea or lemonade glasses for sitting on the porch on a hot day or even better, root beer floats (root beer is a carbonated soda drink, a float is when you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to it) 😉
I'm sorry, this woman went from groceries to circumcision????? Yes, most men here are circumcised. Odd to include this point directly following the price of strawberries. On the point of strawberries, it depends on the area, the time of year, if it's organic or the place you purchase them. Personally, I grew up in a farming area and produce was often sold off the side of the road where it was cheaper. Back to circumcision, I've found most American doctors recommend circumcision for health reasons... and the fact that most men being circumcised would allow for awkwardness or comments in the boys locker room during high school (where the male gym class may, as a group, shower together).
Watch the live police shows. This country has people driving around stoned out of their minds because pot became legal in their state. Like the drink-and-drive people, they cause fatal accidents and don't even get a scratch themselves.
Not true abou t poor people and fast food. Poor people get free food stamps from the government and food shop at grocery stores. In fact people on food stamps can not buy fast food or prepared foods with the stamps. Sure there are some poor people that eat a lot of fast food but statistically about the same as populations that have more money that consume too much fast food. Again, Feli makes broad generalizations based on ignorance, lack of experience and being obtuse.
Speaking about weed I'm 73 trued it for the first time at age 45!! Worse thing I ever did!! God paid me back for that!! Most sever case of an allergy I have ever had! One and only time. People look at ne and say it's just WEED!! EXACTLY MOST WEEDS OF IN THE WORLD ARE ALERGINS!! THINK ABOUT IT!!!!
She seems to have A LOT of friends that abuse drugs. Aldi has thousands of grocery stores in the US. If Americans aren’t shopping there who does she think is supporting the stores? I think she is confusing her opinion with fact.
I was thinking, who are these friends? It’s definitely not typical. It’s always out there but you definitely don’t want to be hanging around the people who normalize it.
She's kinda wrong tho, I've never paid over $2.99 for a 2lb. container of fresh strawberries (but then , I usually await sales too...) and a pound typically $1.00- 2.00, usually $1.50 or $1.25. I like her, but I think she's just not sympatico w/ how you 'play' the capitalism consumer 'game' ;)
I agree with you, if they wanted to they could stop the drug epidemic. Just like that Sound of Freedom movie, there are those who want it to continue. I've been in the USA all my life, never did drugs, never even took one puff of a cigarette, and have never been drunk (but I do drink alcohol in moderation - as a Christian can). But I have had friends who had drug addictions and a member of my family died due to drug related causes. It is unfortunately easy to get if you look for it, and for some, even if they don't look for it. And now that many places have legalized mary jane and other drugs, it's gotten even worse. It also causes gang violence. One of my brother-in-laws was once in such a gang, pretty much everyonen in his family was ...but he became a Christian and left that life. Also, I know someone who used weed medicinally but didn't know she was using hybrid stuff that is higher in the non-relaxing chemical, and ended up with a mental breakdown she is still recovering from. Yes, the food prices is one reason why you see a lot of poor people who are overweight. The cheap foods are often also the most fattening. Sure some produce is cheap, but it also has a shelf life, which can mean you buy food you end up not being able to eat, or that you'd have to go shopping more regularly which means more gasoline $$$. But a family size box of mac n cheese is less than a buck. So a pack of strawberries for $5 that can't even feed one person for a day, or a $1 box of mac that could feed 4 for a day.... not much choice there if you are really struggling.
My message to Feli has always been if Germany is so much greater than the US of A then there are flights leaving from Cincinnati International Airport for Germany everyday. Buh-Bye, don't come back! ✈️
Feli stated that Circumcision is the USA is not done for religious reasons but she she is incorrect. One of he main reasons Circumcision is done i is religion because of the Bible's ref. To Circumcision.
Oh, it's a gateway drug alright.... a gateway to the refrigerator! 🤣

Watch the live police shows. This country has people driving around stoned out of their minds because pot became legal in their state. Like the drink-and-drive people, they cause fatal accidents and don't even get a scratch themselves.
Brothers, is khat a thing in Algeria and is khar considered Haram?
Weed has 4 times more tar than tobacco.
Germany certainly has a drug problrm. That's were Elvis Presley got introduced to drugs.
@@MelissaBergIllustration it’s mainly her age. I’m around the same age and it’s the same. I live in a pretty white conservative area too
She's kinda wrong tho, I've never paid over $2.99 for a 2lb. container of fresh strawberries (but then , I usually await sales too...) and a pound typically $1.00- 2.00, usually $1.50 or $1.25.
Beer mugs are haram?
No beer since it alcohol
My message to Feli has always been if Germany is so much greater than the US of A then there are flights leaving from Cincinnati International Airport for Germany everyday. Buh-Bye, don't come back! ✈️
wow this girl is cringey
How?
What is wrong with this woman 😂
Feli stated that Circumcision is the USA is not done for religious reasons but she she is incorrect. One of he main reasons Circumcision is done i is religion because of the Bible's ref. To Circumcision.
This is not correct at all!
Cleanliness, less chance of getting gross bacteria infections etc
That isn’t true. It’s a cultural thing that’s declining
She is a 100% hypocrite when it comes to drugs.
You guys would probably have much more siccess on this channal if you did not talk so much.
