Arturia EFX Motions - Rhythmic Multi-FX - Sonic LAB Review

Arturia yesterday released their _EFX Motions plug-in, which on the surface is a comprehensive multi-fx processor. However even a cursory exploration reveals that its got a lot going on.
As well as the on board FX, automation and clock based modulators can be used to create some incredibly complex time locked FX,
Modulation sources include: LFO, Envelope, Envelope follower, Step Sequencer, Beat Repeat and Function generators, its designed for modulation.
The signal flow can be frequency dependent, allowing processing of a specific frequency band which can then be passed into modules for: Filter, Noise Generator, Drive, Volume, Pan and Repeat/FX which also includes delay, reverb, EQ and more distortion.
It can add movement and animation to pads, beats, bass, voice and any number of input source materials, transforming the mundane or static into really complex sounds.

How does this compare to the Babyaudio Transit, Sugarbytes Turnado, Devious Machines Infiltrator2, and Cableguys Shaperbox3?
When someone said we need more plugins like Devious Machine’s Infiltrator. Arturia heard it and just set the standard for sequencer based multi fx chaos engine❤

Does this thing have a Dark Mode? I have poor eyesight these days and reviews and tutorials that use light mode, unfortunately, are rather difficult for me because I can't see the interface clearly on my screen :( I'll try to stick with it, as I'm sure there's good stuff in the video!

I just bought the granular fx and then this comes out. I feel betrayed. lol
I just got both, because I'm an idiot plus it was half price when I logged in! Fragments can do a lot of the same things, the rhythmic presets are very good. I don't need this really, but I've already used it to make some interesting sounds.

@@playeveryday01 can always try the demo first. I think it's actually really useful for sound design. I've got no interest in risers and transitions because I don't make anything that needs that, but it works on plenty of other sounds, not just beats and pads.
Im loving this thing so far (only $29 crossgrade!!!) but Infiltrator 2 … that thing is still the omega beast of multi-fx. My definitive deserted island plugin choice

Nice in-depth review, but please stop talking for an entire cycle so we can actually hear the example.
Cool effect ruined by a near-illegible interface. Put something with more contrast on for the GUI and I'll buy it, otherwise, no sale. Honestly, who does the human factors testing for Arturia? Monkeys? Wombats? Cripes, get a clue, Arturia.
I spent all night playing with the demo and didn’t have a problem with the contrast… It’s very easy on the eyes actually.
Agreed, the UI is functional but not good looking. EFX FRAGMENTS has a much better 'looking' UI because of the colour and contrast.
I suppose it's too bad that I'm vision-impaired with diabetic retinopathy. 'So glad' you're ok with it. Always good to only think of yourself, I guess.
