Imagine, you are a Neanderthal and you are freezing in your cave during the winter months. There is no meat left on the carcass of last weeks kill. You take a bone and begin harvesting the marrow. As you suck the last morsels of sustenance a hallow single note whistle tells you that it is almost empty. Then, as you adjust your grip, your finger slides off of a foramen and the whistle's pitch changes. This delights you as you finger the foramen's whole creating a two-note trill capturing the immediate attention of your cavemates.
They're just finding random ancient instruments. Many of these instruments are still used, that's how we know what they sound like, or we have them in museums if they are not still used. Look into Music Archeology, it's interesting And never trust an AI produced channel like this.

@@mm_crazycool0804Well the Neanderthal flute actually being a flute is heavily disputed. Nobody knows what it actually is the dude that found it just said it was a flute without any evidence. And to be fair, can you really blame him? All people have been doing is guess work based on its shape and design, and people just kind of just gave up and said, maybe it is a flute. The thing comes from the beginning of human history, so it makes sense people can't make heads or tails of what it actually is. That's the only thing I could really find everything else seems pretty accurate.
You neglected rattles entirely, not to mention most very old drums. The only saving grace is the Neanderthal flute. But the flute, however ancient, was only the "lead guitar" backed up by the rhythm section of drums and rattles. I dare anybody who hears those 3 instruments played around a campfire not to kick off their shoes and dance. That's hardwired into us.

@@whatabouttheearth The sounds are not produced by AI in this case
Beside AI would soon be capable to create complicated sounds!
Neanderthal flute easily beats all the pop music that surrounds us, at least for me. It is hauntingly beautiful!
Neanderthal is NOT homo sapiens !
You and me are HOMO SAPIENS.
Neanderthal were a totally different species !

Love your channel, very fascinating.
There are many ancient Indian instruments like sitara, tabla, etc. you should have cover them
Sitar, Tabla etc are medieval era instruments; and have foreign influence. The ancient versions are Veena and Dholak.

The fact that veena is my mother's name😁
1:32Wait so the organ was invented before that
Здравствуйте хорошо 👍

The veena rocks
Ney reminded me of Bhagwan Krishn, because Persians and Indians are extremely related. Persian is more similar to Sanskrit
Tutankhamen died in 1323 BC, not 5000 BC
Very good.
But that instrument is 5000 years old
How do you know?
That's not what the text said. It referred to the trumpets. Reading comprehension matters
Maybe that style of trumpet dates back to as early as 5000 BCE, but is called Tut's trumpet because it was found originally in his tomb?
интересно 🤗👍
Informative!
Çok güzel, sanki 100 bin yıldır varmışım gibi...
you know I was wondering if you can do more digital recreations of the greek gods and maybe stop on by to the other pantheons
Interesting
By the way daf is a Kurdish ancient instrument & we have tamura that 2500 years old
Fantasztic
Хотелось бы услышать систры - на них играла Нефертити - жена фараона Эхнатона.
You forget the Greek instrument tambura, the ancestor of guitar
Greek? Pfff... Not old enough.
What's up brother, whacha doing.
Nothing just On the toilet playing the Neanderthal flute.
Sounds like Age of Empires.
Dombra?
Whos da King :P
This is cool. Makes me think of a Disney World exhibit.
What about gamelan music? This is s bias 😂
The jew harp is missing :)
Это не неандертальская флейта. Доказано, что это просто случайная кость, прокушенная зубами гиены. 😅
