My dad knew how to play the harmonica, and when he passed i found it laying in a drawer. I never learned how to play but i listened to your blues shows and found it awesome! Let me just say that these videos fills me with immense joy of being able to do something i remember my father doing, while also learning something new! Thank you and greetings from Sweden! :)
I don't play harmonica yet I do play the volume knob . It's an honor to tell you this . I'm in Louisiana and the blues and harmonica go hand in hand here . Riding freestyle flatland is a passion of mine that is unyielding . I have never strived to be the best yet I have strived to be the only . It would be unfair to other harmonica players to call you the best , it would be accurate to call you the only . You're one of a kind Mr . Smith ! Thank You and please don't ever stop doing the magic that you do ♥
Please don’t stop teaching. I’m relying and you to help me master this harmonica. Because of you on your first lesson I bought a Hohner Crossover in A. Love it!
Juzzy, Your style of teaching is just "good clean fun". Your students can tell that you are doing just what God put you on this earth for, and that is teaching! I play by ear so it doesn't do me a lot of good to hear about hear theory, or playing in the first position, tabs, etc. You are the best teacher I have come across in 2 years. Your smile SAYS IT ALL you are having fun! Keep up the good work and I will keep coming back. Good job buddy!
Hi Juzzie , I have been playing Didgeridoo for about 20 yrs , learnt a bit when i lived up in NWA in Kunnunurra . My late dad Sam was a very accomplished harmonica player self taught . I now have his Harmonicas and have been practising your great tuturials . I really like your performances,, have watched many a video . Cheers mate . from West Auckland NZ .
You can teache us simple and easiest way on harmonica because you show to understand notes of holes what is single notes. This can understand how to play harmonica for us. We are weak to listen english listening. So We can see to understand notes of holes showing notes puctures or showing notes. I knew from you your knowledge your experiences your sound techniques. I respect you with my soul my heart. You are my harmonica teacher. I know you are very nice.brother🙏
Thanks to you i unpacked my old harmoica set and starting to learn, i love your videos, your teaching and your energy ! thank you Juzzie, would be so gratefull if you keep this up
Awesome stuff - so easy to learn from you, and heaps of fun. I am still a beginner, and playing around with some cool riffs in between the basics keeps the interest and fun factor up. Greetings from South Africa!
Juzzie, I bought a harmonica a few months ago, and I was instantly discouraged. Your videos allowed me to play cool stuff instantly and I was immediately inspired! Thank you SO much!
I enjoy your instruction. Thanks for your input. I always enjoyed your performances, but it's nice to see you giving some technical insight. Keep it up!
Dude, you are amazing at teaching, all I have to do is listen to you don't have to watch, you inspired me to play with my nose, you and Jason Rikki, and John Gindick and Adam Gusso, all top shelf 😎👍🎵🎶🎵

Hi Juzzie, Thanks for the great lessons, your tone is fantastic. Could you put together a video sometime on tips for playing in a rack and possibly some basic beginner's acoustic guitar to go with it. Thanks Robin
Thanks Juzzie for inspiring me to start to play harmonica in the age of 65 - please continue these lessons- Awesome videos, perhaps you can show in one of the videos how you do the percussions to become also a „one man band“ 😅 Jo
Love the new added licks, I find it hard to do the single tones , is there great tip without falling over your lips . You have a great way of showing how to play . Thanks again Andy 😁
Hi Kandy. I created a 67 lesson course which gives really simple single note exercises. juzziesmith.com/store/67-harmonica-lessons-mp3/ try pushing your lips out as far as possible. Then a big smile. Do this for one minute each day and your lips will get better shape and strength for single notes 👍 have fun
Genius. I have been playing some h. Since the age of 17 (now 50). It is a fun way of "screaming" publicly. Which you can't do without a harmonica, or a saxophone. I find it interesting, since you are grabbing space, audiospace if you will. And this space is free, if it is not already taken. And by taken, I mean noisy. But in addition to what master Juzzie is saying here, I just suggest you go to some tunnel and express and say what you need to tell people: "I am lonely" "I hate my job" are things you can say with your harmonica. Blues harmonica especially. And if you are close to town square when people go home from work, someone else who hates your (their) job will know exactly what you are saying (playing) . You may very well be saving lives. Raising spirits at least. But really giving energy and creating good atmosphere is a bit different. You must set your whiny and complainy thoughts aside, raise the tempo and give it all you got. This will attract more people, spreading joy I mean. And you can shift between the two. Go from G-minor Adagio to the Godfather theme, to Chuck Berry, blues licks. And well 20% of bystanders will absolutely love you. Kids especially. Just sayin'.
Thank you vers much for triste vidéo. I must to search my instrument now ! You are incredible, your music give smile 😄🤪. I’m sorry for my language I’m french and my english is old now🤣😂... If you come in France, I will go to see you on the scene !! Thank you thank you thank you 😉
The hole 2 draw started working for me when I started inhaling with my nose at the same time. At first I had to inhale a large amount of air through my nose while drawing on the note to get it to sound good, this made it difficult to play it with a lot of other draw notes, but at least it sounded how its supposed to, in time I was able to make the draw more efficient. Hope this helps some one!
That’s great. I teach exercises how to use your nose in my course. Great you worked it out and can now get hole 2. Well done. juzziesmith.com/store/67-harmonica-lessons-mp3/
