Hmmm...its a bit far from the wall...can you adjust the width?

It would be nice if it could be closer to the wall. And yes, the width is adjustable.

Can you attach a laptop stand to it?

I have seen some laptop stands that could work with this stand, as it has squared structural tubing allowing for a clamp to attach nicely.
