It’s nice and the bedrooms are so spacious! Love the built in shelving and all the cabinets in the kitchen. And mess? Def not messy, hardly lived in. 😊 thanks for the tour
I have heard of it but never seen nanuvat yet
Hello Former neighbour.. lol... Kind Neighbour here😂
Any jobs for international workers in Nunavat ... Really need peace of mind ..away from crowdy area
I would say just apply and try out your luck. Iqaluit is the capital of Nunavut and that’s where you will find the most opportunities. Rest are small communities with limited opportunities.
Is the blue building the school? My mom was a teacher in Cape Dorset for a few years.
Yes the new high school building. I believe built in 2018.
Do you permently live in Nunavut or just visiting?
I have seen almost all of Canada except northern areas,.. I am planning for next summer in 2022, to visit either Yukon or Nunavut.. I am looking to get more guidance & tips from you abt travelling to these remote areas..... regards, Saad (Oshawa, Ont, Canada)
Hi Saad
Hope you are well. Thanks for reaching out. I lived in Cape Dorset, Nunavut for about one year before moving back to Toronto. The communities in Nunavut are fairly remote and it costs a lot of money to travel back and forth (easily over $1000 or more return ticket from just Iqaluit to a community). If you are considering Nunavut then I recommend that you plan on visiting the capital Iqaluit. I believe that’s the only place with taxi service ($8 each way).
In Nunavut the two most beautiful communities are Arctic Bay and Pang, all connected by air. There is only one airline that runs in Nunavut, Canadian North. Also, all flight go back and forth from the capital which is Iqaluit.
I am not sure about Yukon but I have family in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Love that place especially the northern lights!! Look into that perhaps. I know personally for me I need to have easy access to a rental otherwise public transport before planning a trip.
Hope this helps! All the best for your next adventure :)
Welcome
I'm Yassin from Morocco. I want to ask if there is a program for immigration to northern Canada. thank you
Why do they requires fridge in such cold I wonder?
Because the temperature indoors is ~23°C, i.e. room temperature.
