Doc is in denial about the aim assist not being as OP as everyone thinks it is. I’m loving it. The two people I like watching get on average double digit kills are struggling just to get 10. It’s not as strong as others think. This stream is only helping that point. Still enjoying the content though, the anger and rage is great with these two playing together.
Its not that strong and is only "really" strong in close range battles.

It’s all about experience, Doc went in there fully confident that the assist would do everything and was getting his butt kicked even after restarting his game. Everyone seems to think the aim assist is over powered but yet two at least above average if not great pc cod players are struggling just to get above 10 kills. I have noticed it’s weaker on warzone than normal multiplayer (team deathmatch and what not) but even then you have to put in work and skill to be great on both platforms.
At around the 3 hour mark I watched Tim miss someone 20 meters away with a rocket, then missed every bullet with the smg follow up haha Aim assist is there but the people that say it takes no skill are just dense lol

Aim assist is almost non-existent on controler at least for me. I hate how PC players say it's harder for them since they don't have aim assist when they basicaly have 0 recoil

After switching to M+K & being on it for months I'm still not close to being as good as I was on controller because of the advantages of aim assist.

I switch back and forth between both controller and kbm overall it's about the same for me just slightly different play styles, on controller I'm better at killing multiple enemies at once in a squad fight. But on KBM I'm better at solo fights mid range to long distance. Im by no means insane at any game I'm average at everything. But I always end up with the same amount of kills and damage with both but I get into fights differently if that makes sense.

I feel like the only issue people can be seen from docs last few games yesterday. People have issue with the way rotational aim-assist carries your aim ( of course, i dont mean that he doesnt move his stick to aim along with the aim-assist). I've seen how doc plays and i've seen how he reacts during a fight. Even though he is struggling to operate due to not having much recent experience with controller, he is getting more kills than usual with less effort than compared to when he is on mouse( doesnt mean no effort though).

Tim, the paddles take a bit of getting used to. Initially it tired my hands out, but after about two weeks it felt natural. Finding a controller that has paddles that work for you, as well as one big enough for you (I have very large hands and I assume you do too) is also an issue.

@TimTheTatman I wish I wouldn’t have missed this stream I’m watching it now!, I agree with you 💯 mouse and keyboard has its place and so does controller but for me personally aim assist is so hit and miss for me I actually play console with controller and aim assist turned off for cod I notice aim assist helps a lot in instances like being stunned and sniping in multiplayer, it hurts me more then it does help and only difference I noticed was I turned my sensitivity down to 12. It’s how you move to get aim assist to trigger. You need to strafe to get the rotational to kick in too
Tim food for thought but people can hear when you start up your game on stream. So before you start a game you should play some background music or some kind of noice so people don’t hear when you press start on trios duos quads ect. When you start the game we can hear it so we know when you start it so stream snipers automatically start it once they hear that sound. Anyway hope you see this because I think it would help a lot with the stream snipers
Backpaddles are not necessary at all. That’s something you learn to use after you are comfy with controller

Being someone who plays on ps4 console with a standard controller i think that this was a real eye opener for aim assist and that its actually not over powered at all in fact its buggy lol. The ppl who really have an advantage is pc players over console, the speed, fov, ping differences, frame rates, filters, 180+degree snaps, etc yet ppl bitch about aim assist when really thats just an excuse to cling onto when they lose a gun fight. Taking away aim assist from console would make the advatage of pc even bigger which is just dumb and unfair.

I’ve played both with zero difference in results, half the time aim assist isn’t there or it hurts you instead of helping. I know people who play controller and turn off aim assist. It’s mainly a comfort thing for me, I’ve played with controller for twenty years, it’s what I’m used too. But it seems like a good keyboard does respond way faster than a controller.
Dude I know someone that was trying to throw a stun though a window to push someone, and the dude ran by the window so his aim assist kicked in and made him miss the stun and hit himself with it XD. He even has a clip of it
On standard u get follow player at close combat and some times at range if your using a gun with no scope like doc had the ffar and it was easy to keep on player and he said it was all aim assist with some guns it does that the grau is one of them that sticks to players at range but as far as using a scope u get no advantage other then slow down abit when your shooting a guy controller has advantage at close range when your jumping and moving everything else is easyer on mouse and key....

I mean, from mouse to analog stick, you're taking more precise movements on a massive plane that you make with your arm, wrist, and fingers and minimizing it into the directional movement of an analog stick using solely your thumb. I wish people would stop about the aim assist because it hasn't been an issue for many years and it's certainly required to allow for assistance with more precise movements that you would get with a mouse.

It's been a big issue since day one. You can get precise movements without aim assist, it's called practice. I've been using analog sticks for 30+ years. Aim Assist is for the weak who want instant satisfaction instead of putting the work needed to hone that skill. Makes for selling virtual content wonderful as all players feel rewarded but "You ain't shit without your aim assist". So when you hope into a game where aim assist doesn't exist you're fucked. So keep fooling yourself but you're only hurting your own ability to grow, no body elses.

Once you get use to controller it becomes either but same goes for m&k they aren’t to much different except you have more precision with m&k than controller and controllers aim assist isn’t as good as it’s made out to be, but both can be easy to use with practice

Tbh Iv always played controller I have a regular ps5 controller because I just got back into cod recently and I also have a nice m&k but I can’t get the movement down to use keyboard but my aim is spot on it makes no sense but Iv always had a scuf when I played till recently but I should receive mine any day now but i understand why it would be hard to use because it took me forever to be good with one but the aim on a scuf is just better imo and the paddles are a plus:

Aim assist just isn't that strong it only slows down your aim when close to a target. Which is necessary when you have to run high sense to be competitive. Also if two players cross that's the time aim assist is most noticeable cause it'll bug and pull you off target.
Never got a kill while stunned…. Ever. Flash bangs? Yes, but that doesn’t slow your movement. Only way you get that kill while stunned is if your already aiming in the direction they are or lane predict which direction they are going and try to adapt…. But I’ve never gotten lucky like that and I only play controller. Been playing COD since Finest Hour and Big Red One.

I remember back in like 2008-2009 when cross play looked like a possibility. Every pc player that would comment on a post about it would always say how they would totally dominate controller players to the point they would leave the game.....now they need to make excuses.
I havent done the testing on warzone myself yet but if we're talking cold war, i know not thr best game to use, the aim assist moves to the person or i should say moves with the person before u even realize they're there giving u a better shot at killing them do to them not needing to move with them as they come out of the door if that makes since thats just my take and why i think its just a little broken

The precision of M&K with ALWAYS beat a controller with aim assist in WZ. The aim “assist” in MP is far closer to auto aim, so that’s a different story altogether.
Aim assist in WZ causes as many problems as it solves. From launch, you’ve always randomly had to fight against it to stay on target, or had to deal with it completely pulling you off target because it hard locked onto someone that randomly ran by the person you were trying to shot, completely screwing you over. Some of that got toned way down with crossplay though, and we flooded with cheaters instead. Oh joy.
And guns are not “mouse” guns or “controller” guns. They’re FoV guns. The built in recoil nullification you have for nearly every gun on PC because of that fuckin FoV slider is absolute bullshit. I’ve been messin around with a controller and M&K on my semi-decent laptop and the only thing that affects how the guns behave is the FoV slider. I’ve known about it for quite awhile, but feeling guns I have trouble controlling on PS4/5 have absolutely no recoil on PC for myself pisses me off even more.
Do they actually think Aim Assist is AimBot? "How do we fix it?" 🤣

Tim the slide cancel is all in the right stick. Every time you slide, press it in twice more. So 3 clicks total. Hold the first click for a tick, then tap the second two. Gotta imagine for every slide you are crouching after then standing back up.

Tbh I have always played controller and always turned aim assit off it screws me up and slows down my aim and I just can't use if especially when ya snipe and some else runs past while ya aiming it drifts a little bit to follow someone else and then you have to adjust I've never one a shooting game with it on
