Every time I see the player serve the food to the judge in double down, the attack just feels amazing when you don’t just throw food at them, but along with the ENTIRE DISH.
The lucktopus stands out to me compared to the other bosses in the game. It’s so bombastic and jazzy, granted the diebrarian is similar since that is a harder version of the lucktopus but I like the theming of the first boss way more.

But in Psychonauts, Raz is inside his own mind (it's mixed up with Oleander's, but it's still his mind), the power from his father allows him to re-exert some control over his own mind to make himself stronger to defeat the Two-Headed Dad Monster. Simularly, when Raz fights Maligula, Nona gives him some of her power over her own mind, so that he can help her seal away her worse self.

the panic attacks were so genious, when i first fought one it was extremely hard, having to get them to slow down then hit them while dodging their attacks was so cool, but when it got to fighting the two i just couldnt do it, i was getting extremely stressed and was missing all my shots to slow them down, it took me so many tries but as through the fight raz told psi king to calm down i tried being more calm to, it helped i was able to get closer to beating them just by being able to slow down and not get stressed, the game somehow made me go through the exact feelings as psi king and made the panic attack almost give me an actual panic attack, this game is amazing

All she wanted to do was for him to grow a conscience and confess he stole her work by making him feel guilt but it happened just like with Raz and the ideas avalanched on top of eachother in a chain reaction until it broke his psyche. Credit where credit's due, Raz was way more careful than her, otherwise she would've gone completely crazy too
@@thehermit8618 yeah, Raz only made one connection (risk=money) which, paired with her stress about the finnancial situation of the Motherlobe, caused it to snowball into an impulsive gambling addiction. With Dr. Puntz she altered about 4 or 5 connections at the same time, which overloaded the man's psyche.
I mean it's even justifiable, if you worked for hours on something jsut for someone the swoop in and take all the credit, you would probably go to high lengths to make your work pay off

Maligula is easily the most fun boss in the game. She's a a challenge, unlike the Butcher from the last game, but she isn't frustrating. There's no one way to drain her health, and the player can use almost any tactic on her as long as they're careful. And if they're having trouble, they can take off a bit of her health by luring her over to Adam. And that fucking Goggalor beatdown at the end is just icing on the cake.
I wasn't paying much attention, but doesn't using Telekinesis to throw the Bad Idea mines at her does a lot of damage to her? When I did this it ended the phase before I even cleared the Bad Ideas out. Also that last bit reminded me of the time where Raz was using his father's mind to beat up the first game's final boss.
For those of you who don't know what raz means when he said "it sounded so much cooler when Sasha said it", Sasha actually said "you are my own creation, I command you to stop" after he accidentally had raz make a super censor in the first game, during his level "Sasha's shooting gallery"
I think the goat boss is absolutely disgusting. It's a good boss, but disgusting nonetheless. Also, the bosses and enemies in this game are so creative.
Imagine me with a stomach ache waking up to play psychonauts and not only have to play through the entire thing, but play through it again one more time because I had died
The sound design could use some work, lines are constantly overriding each other. Aside from that, glad to see the game still has the style and charm of the original, was worried about that.

Probably not, the only reason Maligula is so dangerous is because she was growing in power when she was dormant and because of the whole "Us Psychic 7 tried opening every door in our minds and that made us vulnerable" thing Ford was talking about during the Mailroom Mind level. That, fighting for her country, and in turn with the fact that she had killed her sister just completely made her bonkers. I'm still kinda confused how the whole primal "fight or flight," fear of water, and Astralathe work into all this, but I'm sure that didn't help. What I'm saying, is that our next villain is going to need to be *really* messed up to have something like this happen again.

I mean seeing Maligula, it wouldn't surprise me if all the Aquato Psychics have a talent for Hydrokinesis That would fit with how some other families in this universe seem to have a shared talent for a particular psychic ability (like the Boole family all being able to talk to animals)

I just realized the irony in Maligula's name. "Ma." Malevolent, malicious, and malignant are all synonyms for evil. It might also be a reference to the Disney villain Maleficent. The rest of the name is possibly a reference to Caligula, a Roman Emperor famous for his madness. He appointed his horse to a governmental position and even declared war on the ocean. Maligula in this game can control water.
It's actually been confirmed that Maligula's name is derived from "malignant" plus Caligula. The creator said that he thought of that villain name ages ago and thought it was too ridiculous, but also too brilliant to not use eventually and Psychonauts 2 was it.

@@NotRemmyCormo As a rule, Bad Idea mines are extremely powerful. They do a lot of damage to all enemies (unless immune to damage, of course).

The judges were my hardest bosses I ended up having to put on no damage just to beat it

"Ma." Malevolent, malicious, and malignant are all synonyms for evil. It might also be a reference to the Disney villain Maleficent.
The rest of the name is possibly a reference to Caligula, a Roman Emperor famous for his madness. He appointed his horse to a governmental position and even declared war on the ocean. Maligula in this game can control water.
It's actually been confirmed that Maligula's name is derived from "malignant" plus Caligula. The creator said that he thought of that villain name ages ago and thought it was too ridiculous, but also too brilliant to not use eventually and Psychonauts 2 was it.
