What is the purpose of having all the signals inverted on output? I guess I don't get why it is west coast. I guess I get why the costal distinction is a thing overall but.... I can see the usefulness of having a cv inverter but is there anything more to it than it's just a useful utility? I truly think this is a good thing to have if you have room and don't have a way to invert signals. I just ordered the AI First Build multiple and I am going to find out if all I can do is I melt and ruin it or if I can actually make it correctly pretty soon. Pretty nervous excited.
They are inverted because this is a tribute to the Buchla 106 mixer and it mixes in the same way. Since the 106's output is inverted, so is this ones. This is for people who want to make west coast synthesis, warts and all, including an 'imperfect" mix stage. It isn't for everyone, but some people love them!
@@AISynthesis Well that sounds pretty perfect. If anything I am always looking to get Serge/Buchla tones/timbers from my Eurorack affair.
