- This video conveys the age of war. All content depicted and all sides shown in this video are not to be misconstrued within the context of this video as being glorified. I believe soldiers fight for their countries regardless of the side, this video merely is an attempt to put the audience back in time, to experience the music and the footage of the time as if they were actually there.
Listening to this on my phone one day at work. Boss says, nazi music huh? I said thats Beethoven. See how far the brainwashing goes?
German children, more disciplined than most non-German adults.
I respect your disclaimer if it represents your genuine sentiments. If it's an attempt to deflect UA-cam, I think it a pity it is necessary. Nothing about German soldiers in the First World War requires any disclaimer, any more than those of other armies of that war. But beyond, that this is some excellent and well put together footage with a fine version of the classic Beethoven march.
Could you imagine being Eighteen in June of 1914, the flower of your Nation's youth, and hearing for the first time the words "Someone shot the Archduke" and not truly registering what's about to come down the line for you. Unbelievable
Wear your Stahlhelm/Pickelhaubes! We're going to Belgium!
Those guys being reviewed by the Crown Prince must have been on their way to Verdun. Imagine that most of those marching past didn't survive into the next year.
Most of these guys killed and/ or died. It still makes you cry today. This precious film sequence is a reminder.
Glad youtube didn't censor it! Nowadays any song from the German army is considered Nazi by youtube.
God bless all who fought in WW1!! God bless the Germans!
Great March. Let Germans get credit for being Germans .
This is a great collection of WWI era German film clips!..Thank you.
i feel bad for those kids that thought that they werent going to suffer from war anymore
Old Europe. They would never allow this crap that is going on nowadays. True men, and proud.
Ur video description describes the essence of history.
