They should make it more painful tbh, I hate copy pasting the same 6-9 artifacts over from one champ to another. It adds not needed time to tackle things. I think building out rosters and keeping them going with what you have is more appealing way of playing than taking your 1 godly rolled set and moving it around for every content. It's just tedious. If the gear removal cost didnt exist then I would need to check every time if I have that gear on someone and if they're the one I want. You yourself stated that it's a lot of work for one battle, now imagine that for EVERY SINGLE BATTLE. It would be horrendous. And you would have to do that because everyone else would be doing it.
u should watch ash's video on how he uses the global presets to make switching artifacts around better. gold cost... yeh thats something we just cant get around all the time.
IMHO gear change must be free of charge. Not by some boosters for one hour -permanent. You already spend your silver by upgrading your gear and other actions.You must be able to change your gear anytime to save yourself from trouble and not worry about take it from other champions.

There will always be the half naked champs, always have to double check who you have gear on, etc etc. Essentially removing any challenge on variable builds. You get a good set of artifacts and rotate that. All other builds will become obsolete. I would even go by just making it free but giving 1 artifact a time of being locked if you remove it. Like you can swap artifacts every 1/2 weeks or so.

Totally agree. With Sintranos we needed 100% free gear removal. Now with Siege, Plarium needs to stop messing around with 1 hr tokens and make it FREE forever.

You have best in class gear sets for the different things you might do like damage, defense, speed, overall, etc. You save them and then those are the only sets you use because you just move the set to whichever champs youre using in content. You dont need 5 different heros with gear for going fast because one will be the best and then it just gets worse from there, no instead you just move the best around. You would only keep gear when it replaces one of your top pieces and then you resave that set with the new gear and trash the old one.

Moving gear sets around is what most higher leveled players do anyway regardless of the silver cost so it suddenly being free doesn't make a change to that other than making it an option to do more frequently. That alone doesn't make gear sets irrelevant The only thing that makes gear sets irrelevant is when gear is power crept. Feral replacing perception which replaces accuracy. Lethal replacing savage. Merciless replacing both lethal, savage, relentless and reflex.

I would love to see something that would make siege better: make the ability to turn on siege only gear swaps. It will equip the gear only for siege, but keep a record of where it was, essentially cloning the gear for a single fight. Make these gear switches free or 25% cost, since they only last one fight. They could make this obtainable by making a button for "equip for next siege battle" button available in the preset section
That was something I enjoyed about Dragonheir. The pvp gear was separate so you didn't mess up your PVE setups. There was no gear swap cost either - just make it free in there would be enough for Raid.
yep and not just boosting speed, it decreases your enemy's aura as well. the difference in blessing level in that fight counted for like 35 speed alone.
Yeah, I'm never doing that just to win a siege. Not a chance. If my clan wanted to do it (and I lead two t6 siege clans/CvC clans), I'd give the lead to someone else and move clans.
Simply restructuring the economy and giving free gear removal would completely revitalise the game. You can't add in all these different game modes that require so much moving of gear and expect people to enjoy it with the restrictions
Free gear removal can make the game irrelevant. If u can freely do it all the time, u will only need to farm 1 good dmg gear set and never farm again. It makes no sense tbh. If we have fgr the day the siege starts would be nice tho.

A cool solution would be to activate an item that makes gear removal free but after it ends all the gear goes back to the original champ that had it equipped
great vid, I also agree that gear removal cost is my biggest pain point of this game. you have to move gear for everything esp if you are still working on Faction Wars. I have tried new combos that cost all my resources just to fail, and can't try another combo for a week as i build up resources again sucks. Really takes the fun out of the game to try and learn a little on your own.
When I’m facing a team I’m not sure I can beat, rather than waste a use of my best champs on the first try, I’ll probe them with a high speed lead and a bunch of other randos that I don’t care too much about. Then use a rebattle with info gained on speed, resist, stone skin etc.
good video, nice to see to the process for team building. With siege I think they need to remove equipment costs just for moving equipment around. I bet it stops players that could easily beat another team, if they could move their equipment around, from even trying if their silver reserves are not as good.
Exactly this is gaming. When you win that its fun, when you lose it sucks. furthermore, thanks for bringing us into the process. We All do this right? It would be easier if they just have free gear removal on siege days.
I'd be interested to find out if that team was eventually beat, and if so how. Still a worthwhile video to see how to go about regearing for something specific, shame all that work didn't pay off though :)
The restriction of lizardman only makes Laz the only viable speed lead, Sulfurion will remove all stoneskins so Teox can 1 shot people and Teox will ignore defense close to 100% so you would need 200k hp to live (as you cant use any passive reductions because of the enemy Ramantu) it basically means you have to outspeed that Laz and I just dont think that is possible as he is about 450 or so speed
I really enjoy the team composition aspect of the game. I like that gear can give different build for a champion. But I really hate game mode like FW and cursed city that revolve around swapping a bunch of gear around. For siege I rarely change my current arena build, but I don't face top of the cake either.
I like having the option to put Artak in Cursed for hydra or regen for ice golem... but I hate the "peut everything in stun set for Sintranos than rebuild in normal gear for normal content ".
Your oppenents laz have an initial speed advantage of +30 by being 6 star and +2. Next if you dont bring a 6 star imtimidating pressence, he have an even larger initial speed advantage, before gear even come in to play. Good luck trying to go first.

So how can you acquire (or recreate) the arena speed calculator and get an updated one on your site... The un-updated one on DWJ's site has been a problem for me for a while.
I'm actually thoroughly enjoying Siege. This last one, I had 8 successful defenses on a front Post. It ate up 5 enemy scrolls. Our stronghold had one team remaining, probably because they opposing team didn't have another scroll left to assault it. We made a straight beeline for their stronghold and missed it by 2 teams. If we'd taken it, we actually might have won!
what?! but this is just crazy! i mean you rebuilt those champs while taking from other key champs for this one fight, yes, but that opponents team has to stay that way for the whole duration of the siege attack phase, which means a lot of his champions would be broken and lazarius as well as any champs he took from for him for example would not be usable in any other content during that time... thats insane to do!
PvP and PvE gearing is very separate in Raid - you dont need a 400 speed hero for any PvE content or 800 acc or anything like that, and Teox is just built as a nuker in the end (so he would use the same stats in hydra for dps anyway). My PvE teams idle between 200-300 speed and 500 acc, but my PvP teams get the cream of the crop of gear
The gear on champions locks in for defenses once matchmaking begins for siege. So once the prep phase ends, they could swap the gear back wherever they want.
Hey bro I was wondering if the optimizer was gear scoring pinpoint properly because I’ve had to do a million cleanses but I manually check the pinpoint accessories and artifacts but it’s just too much gear to keep doing. Anyway I was just wondering if there was gonna be an update to score pinpoint or if it does score it properly? Many thanks for the cleanse tool it’s such a life saver for me I will always pay for the optimizer just for the cleanse tool
Is arena aura still active in siege ? My arbiter is 398speed and with a 19% speed in all battle aura i am slower then a team who uses 30% arena aura . I thought they fixed this the last patch ?
it was fixed, that team was simply faster, my fastest champ is arbiter at 410 and i have no soul awakening on her or empowerment at all, she to the average person would not look like that much of the threat, her gear is just god tier speed gear, fully ascended with the speed roll on the boots and nearly every piece of gear is 6 star with 4-5 high rolls into speed, with the exception of the banner which i only have a triple on
Don't know if it's been said, but plarium should move their monthly free gear switch to coincide with siege, rather than randomly sometime in the middle of sintranos.
It's time they remove that crap system that charges for gear removal. It will make them less money, but it will make the game more enjoyable. Right now I just upgrade gear on gear events and I'm usually low on silver and I try not to move gear outside of free gear removal events.
No way you are faster than a 6* Laz. Should have build your team in Stoneskin/Immunity. Lightning cage helps to protect from the Ramantu strip. It's not guaranteed but odds are in your favor.
Another top notch video. As far as gear swapping/switching goes, I think WOR has a much better system. Not only is gear swapping free but the also have a quick swap between champions, and a set saving system.
I meant earlier what lizards you have similar to a regular counter to his setup! Your team needs to be 1 speed apart to cut in. So you will not have passive 😢. What lizard you have to disrupt his remaining team that requires no passive? You will have to probably dismantle half your teams to have a chance to beat that million dollar player 😮. 2 defense 2 support and nuker…
It's the same at every level... Welcome to Siege. Yes Paylarium should make it less painful to switch gear, but they won't. period. Yes I've lost to spd like that (comparable for my account level), as probably 99.99% of players taking part has, or will. There are so many issues that we all face from Whale to minnow, but it doesn't matter whether you are a Kraken or f2p, you pay the same cost in swapping gear, but it hurts those at the bottom more than at the top ofc.
It didn't make any difference in the fight, but you took some gear from Ramantu when you were gearing Ba Satha. Anyway even without blessing difference that Lazarius was probably 420 speed, or even faster. 400 speed is slow these days.
Nice video yes this is one of the best parts of the game and the worst fun to theory craft but way to costly to try. If I was to try and win your match after seeing it I would put your text to 300 to 315 with as much damage as possible you get turn meter from the debuffs he put on you just not as much so you need to be faster to get your teox attack in before his and then would put krisk in bolster and ramantu and laz in 4 piece stone skin and hope for the best
I hated my siege this time around, my clan is in tier 5 and so far won all our battles but i don't have any meta pvp champs and my overall pvp teams aren't great which meant that after 4 battles and 4 rematches i didn't get a win and my defense didn't win either so despite spending a lot of time trying to win, regearing champs and even 6 starring a couple new champs i got nothing even though the clan won, no gear, no victory chest, nothing for my hard work. I'm done trying until they fix it.
I don't see why people complain about gear. Literally build a champ, never remove the gear, get more gear for next champ. That's what I've done. I've gone against all CCs advice of, only book what you need, only level what you need. Nah I 6 star 2 champs a week I master everyone. I ascend everyone. I fully book everyone. I build everyone, and leave them geared.
This. So much this. If you have an A or S tier in mismatched sub par gear there's no reason to keep it on them indefinitely. There's DEFINITELY no reason to spend 5-6 million silver, and 4-600 gems just swapping gear, and blessings. If your gear doesn't win, if your blessing level doesn't win, if your team comp doesn't win. Just accept it, and farm more. To improve overall....
You can six star 2, and maybe gear one champ, if you ignore everything else as a f2p. I'm not sure about two though. Maybe. But no fusions than for sure as you would have no free energy left over.
I am also f2p and 2 years in, and have rarely regeard a champ entirely as well. Maybe a peice here and there. Maybe. My miscreated though, not in almost two years. I use him in FW no problem, ect.
@Reggie2000 yeah bro right now 2 years in is still a low account believe it or not This game is a grind for sure. But like I'm saying I'm getting nm hydra done, all DT hard rotations, I've got sand devil and shogun at stage 25, running all dungeons hard at stage 10. I couldn't do all of this a year ago, But with all the extra resources available at endgame. It makes going for everything possible IF you do it all during fusions, just masteries outside of fusions.
Your build in Defense is locked. Once the Matchmaking starts, you can't change their build / blessing anymore. Meaning all the changes you make on your account won't affect the champs in Defense. But you can of course change the build of any champ you want. It just means it won't change your defense builds
as far as i know raid didnt reset those mana orbs after the initial siege which had a glitch and some clans abused it to gain a lot of those mana orbs to make those posts conditional.... unfair advantage for some clans over others...
Yes. Because now you compete with a real monsters with full souls fueled and +2 to +4 champions upgraded. Even though you gear youself up good(thanks to the tool), you got good champions and you are a good player-its not panacea. They will whoop you so bad and so fast that you just cant compete despite you on the same level. Sad i had to lose my siedge scrolls to get that knowledge. But bad expirience is still expirience.
TBH i am pretty pissed with optimizer. I tough ok HH is doing do much for RAID community and if im gonna spend on the game i prefer to buy upgraded membership and somewhat show my apreceation for your work that way. New feature of gear score was my target to use the most, but still after buying gear score is not there. Was sure i resigned from my subscription, but yet i was charged again month later witch was weird bcs afterwards i wanted to check out some specific team on RO and it said builds available only for premium members.

Opponent got that 6* blessings on laz. Thats a big difference in speed stat and also the aura boosting mastery.

He wins the speed race because of the 6 star Intimidating Presence on a 25% speed Aura vs your 3 star. The difference those % make are insane.
He's at least 20-25 speed faster than his Laz. The 20 speed from the 6* plus better gear made the difference, not IP

Don't know if it's been said, but plarium should move their monthly free gear switch to coincide with siege, rather than randomly sometime in the middle of sintranos.

It's time they remove that crap system that charges for gear removal.
It will make them less money, but it will make the game more enjoyable.
Right now I just upgrade gear on gear events and I'm usually low on silver
and I try not to move gear outside of free gear removal events.
No way you are faster than a 6* Laz. Should have build your team in Stoneskin/Immunity. Lightning cage helps to protect from the Ramantu strip. It's not guaranteed but odds are in your favor.

As far as gear swapping/switching goes, I think WOR has a much better system. Not only is gear swapping free but the also have a quick swap between champions, and a set saving system.
on top of all that, if your 2 shots don't work, you get zero rewards for the siege
I meant earlier what lizards you have similar to a regular counter to his setup! Your team needs to be 1 speed apart to cut in. So you will not have passive 😢. What lizard you have to disrupt his remaining team that requires no passive? You will have to probably dismantle half your teams to have a chance to beat that million dollar player 😮. 2 defense 2 support and nuker…

It's the same at every level... Welcome to Siege. Yes Paylarium should make it less painful to switch gear, but they won't. period. Yes I've lost to spd like that (comparable for my account level), as probably 99.99% of players taking part has, or will. There are so many issues that we all face from Whale to minnow, but it doesn't matter whether you are a Kraken or f2p, you pay the same cost in swapping gear, but it hurts those at the bottom more than at the top ofc.

Many accounts at 450+ speed now, I think this team will be the guys main arena team too.
It didn't make any difference in the fight, but you took some gear from Ramantu when you were gearing Ba Satha.
Anyway even without blessing difference that Lazarius was probably 420 speed, or even faster.

Nice video yes this is one of the best parts of the game and the worst fun to theory craft but way to costly to try. If I was to try and win your match after seeing it I would put your text to 300 to 315 with as much damage as possible you get turn meter from the debuffs he put on you just not as much so you need to be faster to get your teox attack in before his and then would put krisk in bolster and ramantu and laz in 4 piece stone skin and hope for the best
I hated my siege this time around, my clan is in tier 5 and so far won all our battles but i don't have any meta pvp champs and my overall pvp teams aren't great which meant that after 4 battles and 4 rematches i didn't get a win and my defense didn't win either so despite spending a lot of time trying to win, regearing champs and even 6 starring a couple new champs i got nothing even though the clan won, no gear, no victory chest, nothing for my hard work. I'm done trying until they fix it.

This. So much this. If you have an A or S tier in mismatched sub par gear there's no reason to keep it on them indefinitely. There's DEFINITELY no reason to spend 5-6 million silver, and 4-600 gems just swapping gear, and blessings. If your gear doesn't win, if your blessing level doesn't win, if your team comp doesn't win. Just accept it, and farm more. To improve overall....

You can six star 2, and maybe gear one champ, if you ignore everything else as a f2p. I'm not sure about two though. Maybe. But no fusions than for sure as you would have no free energy left over.
I am also f2p and 2 years in, and have rarely regeard a champ entirely as well. Maybe a peice here and there. Maybe. My miscreated though, not in almost two years. I use him in FW no problem, ect.

But like I'm saying I'm getting nm hydra done, all DT hard rotations, I've got sand devil and shogun at stage 25, running all dungeons hard at stage 10.
I couldn't do all of this a year ago,
But with all the extra resources available at endgame. It makes going for everything possible IF you do it all during fusions, just masteries outside of fusions.

Not offence. Only set defences.
Your build in Defense is locked. Once the Matchmaking starts, you can't change their build / blessing anymore. Meaning all the changes you make on your account won't affect the champs in Defense.
But you can of course change the build of any champ you want.
It just means it won't change your defense builds

as far as i know raid didnt reset those mana orbs after the initial siege which had a glitch and some clans abused it to gain a lot of those mana orbs to make those posts conditional.... unfair advantage for some clans over others...

Yes. Because now you compete with a real monsters with full souls fueled and +2 to +4 champions upgraded. Even though you gear youself up good(thanks to the tool), you got good champions and you are a good player-its not panacea. They will whoop you so bad and so fast that you just cant compete despite you on the same level. Sad i had to lose my siedge scrolls to get that knowledge. But bad expirience is still expirience.

TBH i am pretty pissed with optimizer. I tough ok HH is doing do much for RAID community and if im gonna spend on the game i prefer to buy upgraded membership and somewhat show my apreceation for your work that way. New feature of gear score was my target to use the most, but still after buying gear score is not there. Was sure i resigned from my subscription, but yet i was charged again month later witch was weird bcs afterwards i wanted to check out some specific team on RO and it said builds available only for premium members.
I think the gear rating system is down. Maybe they're working on it. Its been off for a few weeks.
