What I really liked about this video is that it shows you CAN mix generators and that those three generators do make a horrible buzzy noise. I don't think I'd ever need that much power on the road so two smaller generators are perfect for an old guy like me.
Great test Gavin👍. Definitely the single 7250, is the best option. The little guys have their place but not when you need runtime without refueling. You did prove they will make the power for the load you we’re connecting. However, life expectancy will be shortened by the maxed out rpms during an extended power outage of a week or two… By the way, you must have great neighbors 😜
Lol my neighbors know they better not complain about my shenanigans, because they all come to me for everything it’s like leaving next to MacGyver and Tim the tool man 😅
Hey Gavin, could you do a pairing on the Genmax 7250 invertor, especially the new one I think its the one you have? The manual says to buy the GM6000SPK but all the cords 120/240 plug is different
Nice video Gavin. I was looking at the information about the parallel kit. It says on available outputs on 50 amp it will do 120 or 240 volts. So if you parallel 2 or 3 generators that are 110. Will it output in the parallel kit a 240 volts on the 50 amp side?
The real reason behind the 7250 genamax is the 240v out. If you are just powering 120v loads... you would be better off going with a pair of 3500 or 4k generators. They seem to be the sweet spot for 120v for portability and power.
I thought the 7250 model could put out the full 6000 watts continuous at 120v or 240v. That's the difference between what the 7250 can do & the Genmax 5500w & the Genmax 6000w. You can not combine both the 120v legs & get full power out at 120v.
Love your videos as always. Quick question, I think. if I only had one generator and plugged it into a parallel box like you used on the video. Would this potentially give me access to all the power available from the generator? Eliminating things like I only have access to one leg of power etc?
Gavin Sir, why is it no one who does generator reviews ever has the ground set up? I'm not trying to be smart. I promise. I'm going to be purchasing a first generator soon here and I was just curious. It serves no purpose? Ok I'm trying to articulate. lol Let' put it this way, what's the worst thing that could happen by NOT setting up the ground wire thing? Thank you for your thoughts. :-) I do enjoy your videos, thank you.
I think the number one reason no one sets up the ground is the time it takes to make this video the point we’re trying to get across doesn’t require grounding the generator. Remember, your generator is grounded through your circuit. The reason you would ground your generator to ground in natural disaster if lightning hits your generator it will take the shortest path back to the ground. Your generator frame is bonded to ground when you hook up to your inlet box, It is bonded to ground . The circuit is all grounded.
I'm noticing he shot this one in the evening and starting to suspect he's also a few shots into his favorite drink. lol Probably going to be another great video though
The little gens are screaming, you really think outside the box with your test, that's why you're the best generator guy on UA-cam.
Thanks 😊
That is a really good test , Gavin! In my opinion, it's best to have one or two larger ones and a smaller one for when you need to be more mobile.
Agreed 👍🏾

Yessir I agree ☝🏽

Great job Gavin. 👏
Hey buddy thanks 😊
Thank you!
Love the genmax

Would be nice to do the test on the grass too vs concrete.

No the parallel kit will not work for 240v or access both legs
@@GeneratorReviews thank-you for the quick response
Just to be simple, I'd prefer the single larger generator.
I like your intro animation but if you ever make another incorporate a bunch of generators red lining at maximum lol!
That is too funny!! Lol
Nice video Gavin. With a Parallel kit, hooked into the 50 amp plug, does it give you two separate 120 amp circuits?
Yes, the 120 V is split but that does not mean you can get 240v
Is there any device out on the market that allows you to get 240volts from 2 different 120 volt sources ?
Can you get 240 volts out of a a parallel kit, with 2 120 volt generators?
Only the genmax 4K with their parallel kit will get 240v

@@GeneratorReviews Oh, ok, makes complete sense. Thank you!
Do you know if there's a magnetic dipstick that will fit the Genmax GM7250?
Yes, they do have one. I don’t know exactly what size but I’m gonna find out and put it on my website for all the generators.
@@GeneratorReviews Thanks!
The larger unit was noiser at 83.5 and the 3 were aete 81.7. so why do you say they are noisier?
I have predator 2000 and the little ones having a ringing type tone that seems louder.
@@tumbleweedking5668 My Wen 2500 makes a light ringing sound also, I was hoping nothing was wrong with it.
Thrust me when I say it was louder and the droning does not help
I'd hate to listen to either combination at that load for any length of time. I was expecting shrapnel at any moment!
Lol 😂 now that’s funny
mathing is hard :)
Lol 2250+2500+2500=7250
