The late Jack Thornton was Elizabeth first great love.💘 Then Elizabeth's late husband, Jack died in S5. 💔 Now, Nathan Grant is Elizabeth's second great love. 💕 Hopefully, Nathan will be Elizabeth lifetime love! ❤ I hope we see a short courtship for Elizabeth and Nathan (the already know each other well & known each other 5 years now) Then we see Nathan and Elizabeth get married and their romance in marriage. 💍 👰 💒 Then we also see blended family storylines with Nathan, Elizabeth, Allie, and Jack Jr. 🏡 👨👩👧👦 😊 ❤
So, I'm one of the younger granddaughters, but my grandma who was married successfully for 65 years and have seen young women and a lot of "romantic relationships and women who thought they loved a man" but realized later on it may not have been true love. My grandma said, "Very often this is real life somehow young women often think they are in love with the man of mystery or the conventional "bad boy" before they find true love, the man they are truly in love with- the man who was their friend. ❤ For E it was a young "safe" love with a man of excitement & mystery." My opinion now, But Elizabeth was in denial because Lucas wasn't safe when she picked Lucas in S8. He did put her in danger in S6 😂 as a single mother how Elizabeth picked the mysterious, bad boy I will never understand. It's a good thing Elizabeth realized she was truly in love with Nathan and broke up with Lucas telling him she couldn't leave HV that she wanted to raise J JR in HV. Also, Lucas asked in the break up scene in S10 if it was something more Elizabeth didn't deny it. Lucas knew the real reason Elizabeth was breaking up with him was because she was in love with Nathan. I look at what happened with Jeanette and Elizabeth & Rosemary put in danger (E for a second time) and I wonder what other type of people Lucas was involved with in his past. I wonder if Lucas just saw Elizabeth as a prize to be won. He was a gambler & player. This started all before Nathan was posted in HV. It became a competition once Lucas saw later on that Nathan was interested in Elizabeth with honerable intentions. Did Elizabeth just end up as a potential trophy wife for Lucas? She was physically attractive and a prize to be won. Maybe it was lust for Lucas not love? If so, then if Elizabeth had married Lucas her marriage & moving to CC could have been disastrous for Elizabeth & Jack Jr. Elizabeth could have had a sad, difficult life with Lucas. Elizabeth may have changed Lucas where he did end up with a type of love for her when at first it had been lust, but definitely in the beginning seasons Lucas' intentions with Elizabeth were not honerable in my opinion. As Lucas got to know Elizabeth over the years maybe he did love her. I'm glad Elizabeth realized she had just been fearful of a relationship with Nathan, but that Nathan is her second great love. That it is with Nathan she has a strong, friendship, connection & true love so yes they have the romance now too! Nathan always had a friendship love, a steadfast love, and and unconditionalove for Elizabeth even when they were only supposed to be just friends because Elizabeth was dating & then engaged to the bad boy, Lucas. 💖 Elizabeth truly discovered what was in her heart and what true love was and realized she only rejected Nathan in S8 because she was afraid to lose another great love like she lost Jack. Elizabeth could no longer deny she was in love with Nathan Grant.💕 I'm think all the articles will come out about Lucas' past from reporters like Randall & Rosemary investigating Governor Bouchard's past with Jeanette and whoever else he was involved with in his past. I think Lucas will get a redemption story. Lucas did tell his criminal ex-girlfriend, Jeanette that he isn't the same man anymore that he wants to be a good man now an honerable man. I think for Lucas maybe that was the purpose of his relationship with Elizabeth even if he didn't realize it. Elizabeth changed Lucas where he wants to be a good man now. Elizabeth & HV changed Lucas. I think Rosemary will end up writing articles showing how Governor Bouchard isn't the same man anymore. Lucas is a good man now. Lucas has changed. Lucas will get a redemption story (like Henry did) and end up being able to remain governor of the territory because Rosemary and HV stood up for Lucas. Then Lucas will end up a successful governor. I think Lucas will eventually get a sassy, beautiful city woman as a new girlfriend in CC.
Then again maybe Lucas hasn't changed afterall. Really the writers can take Lucas' storyline any way they want to as a politician can be bought off by lobbyists and do things shady for his own selfish reasons. But Lucas might get redeemed and be a good, successful governor. It all depends on how the writers write the character Lucas Bouchard. I may be team Nathan.....Nathan and Elizabeth as a couple, but I'm a fan of the mysterious Lucas Bouchard too! Both Constable Nathan Grant & former saloon owner/businessman turned governor with a mysterious past he was hiding Lucas Bouchard is a great character too. I really am a huge Kevin McGarry fan, but I'm a fan of Chris McNally too. I think this Soap Valley love triangle is finally over! 😂
I love them as a couple. The show is so much better for me now.
All that matters is Elizabeth realized 😳 she's in ❤️ with Nathan and can get on with their life live ❤️ HAPPY 😊 EVER AFTER.❤❤❤😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
