Yes there seems some interesting in underground tours, that tunnel to fort st Elmo from Merchant street tunnel looks interesting, I think many more around Malta to be uncovered

I personally am from the uk but my grandad owns a flat in Valletta and the cathedral is amazing with all the lights at night and I went to the ww2 tunnels

Amazing! Was a bit low in places but plenty of sign, you be ok take your time, Its a great tour ...Better then the first time I went down
