My channel is basically dedicated to the Sledge and what I've done with it. I also sell 200 of my own patches for it. Can I ask if you've had any issues with it, Adam? I'm very seriously considering getting it. I like the sounds of the Waldorfs; just been nervous about encoder issues, etc.
@@amb13nt59 I haven't had any issues with either of my Sledges, yellow or black. The only reason I have a black one now is because I broke a key on the yellow one and decided to use the opportunity to upgrade. Check out the sounds I've made with them! I sell them too!
@@AdamBorseti is it true that the keys on the black model are of a higher quality than the yellow?

I’m wondering how much can you really dive into the sound design. Is this a start from a preset and customize it? Or can you build one from the ground up yourself? Also any insight into the arp? I’m trying to decide between this and the korg wavestate.
Having the same hardware than Blofeld sounds are definitely superior.

I have a yellow one, unfortunately with 4 dead keys on it. Not easy finding someone to repair it

Only demo I’ve seen of sledge that had great tone. Amazing patches. Honestly as a Waldorf fan all other videos left me feeling disappointed. How is this as a midi controller?
I have this synths predecessor, every knob can be mapped :)

In some places - yes.
But sounds more massive and capabilities are more minimalistic.
I am reading where there are known glitches in the OS.
Yeah, it's kinda glitchy and has what I can only describe as 'senior moments'..
I wouldn't rely on one live, but in a studio setting it can be a really nice tool - particularly for the kind of sounds demoed in this vid.
@@Gainn I stay away from glitchy electronic - we are already in a glitchy matrix.

I've still not seen the 'patch notes' for 2020 but I hope they work them out in version 2021.. :P
Update the firmware, mine running smooth 2 months after and no glitches.
Play it almost daily.
