Welcome back Miss Maddy! Frank has been my favorite since the mid 1970's,he can play any style he wants.Frank is more than a great guitar player, singer, writer, producer, composer and sound engineer,he is one of the nicest and down to earth guys out there. If you have time, listen to one of his interviews on UA-cam,you will like hearing his take on things. For another from this concert,Strange Dreams is a great one.
Very clean guitar work you can feel what he feels-this was a diamond to come back in with for sure!! 👍🏼 I didn’t search out masterpieces like this, my requests seem like diddys next to this, but hopefully you’ll be in March soon😅😅 All the best 😎
Love the blues, his and yours. Don’t often see blues played on an SG, hollow bodys, strats or Les Pauls are most commonly used. The word your looking for when looking for the sad sounding chords are usually minor7 chords. BTW love the new camera placement
Mandy you must try “Tales Of The Unexpected.” The solo on the back half of the track, switching styles from rock to jazz is amazing and worth every second. 👈✨
There is an interesting story about this song. If you listen to his version of Red House from the "Real Live" album, you will notice that the music is the same as this song, aside from a faster tempo. The story, according to Frank, is that they started playing this song at a concert and he couldn't remember the lyrics, so he just started singing the lyrics of Red House and he and the band somehow figured it out in the moment. That's why his version of Red House is so different (musically)from any other.
I saw Frank Marino's Mahogany Rush in 1977 or 1978 at Winterland in San Francisco. His setlist that night was quite different than the piece here you reacted to, but he was quite capable of playing hard rock or the blues, I liked him either way.
Welcome back!!! You have been missed! And a very big thank you for revisiting Frank Marino. Please react to The Answer from the same fantastic Agora performance. Best wishes, and I'm looking forward to your next upload! ✌️☮️🇨🇱💯🎸🎸🥁🎤🎼🎵🎶🎸🎸❤️
Frank is the best guitar player in the world not because he is fast but because he is sincere. What you hear is what he feels inside when he is playing. His soul pours out into his music. Fast notes have no feeling. When Frank goes wild it is his soul screaming out through that guitar. There is a huge difference!
Good pick for you to do your input on one of the best guitarist ever. Buy all of albums , mohagany rush live is a great one to start with, he does alot of his songs from the day. It’s not a young album , from late 70s or early 80s. He had so many from the 70s it’s a blur.keep up the good work, you have good taste listening to frank
I hope there is more unreleased Frank Marino, because sadly, Frank has ended touring. The live collection from the Agora concert is a must have collection. Waiting on Maddy to react to "The Answer" and also "Poppy".
As someone who has played guitar professionally for 40 years. I have no clue what you would call what the background guitarist is doing called. Fill Chords maybe?
Hi Maddy, glad you're back safe and sound you were really missed. If you love the blues you really have to listen to Born To Die by the Keef Hartley band. A real blues masterpiece.🎸🎸
Welcome back 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you😭🥹🩷
I was able to see him and his then band, Mahogany Rush, back in the 70's! Hell of a performance! Love the blues!!

Right on Maddy, Frank is one soulful human being. He's also a super humble one...no surprise there.
It’s great to see you react to something you really love. Always a pleasure.
Awesome! Fan of his since 1974, but never heard this until tonight. Thank-you!
