And on top of that that aiming is all screwed up. They invented a whole bunch of shit they didn't need to. 2 handed aiming has been solved already and they decided they know how to do it better. It's a real shame
It’s funny watching you talk with your VR hands 😂 when you were standing at the range talking about the lack of holsters, I got a good laugh out of your hands moving while explaining lol.
This is my first foray into a VR FPS shooter and tbh I quite like the button reload and weapon wheel for accessibility. That’s not to say I wouldn’t welcome manual reloads and holsters/belts for throwables as I get more comfortable. Really enjoyed the few games of Exfil I played while trying to get to grips with the game, but I can see how many seasoned VR FPS players may be disappointed. Definitely feels like could do with a virtual stock calibration. I hope they can iron out the issues in future updates.
I’m glad that you like it! I know that once I was actually in a game, the things that bothered me went out of the window as I was totally immersed in the matches.
@@UniversalStand As in the eye tracking snap? Yeah I’m not a huge fan but again that might be something that’s removed from the Ultra mode, which is looking like a more hardcore/realistic mode
The game currently feels like Pavlov made for disabled people. And I don’t even mean any offence by that. Literally everything is made with the intent of allowing you to barley move. Pretty cool to have that as an option but why it’s the only way to play is beyond baffling
Guess it's never happening because they just announced they're closing up shop. They blame it on a lack of support from the community. Haaa! Imagine releasing a pile of ish and blaming the community for not playing it. They showed little support to their players. I wanted to like this game, but the developers weren't working hard enough to fix the issues.
For me its the opposite to your criticism. I played a lot of VR Shooters and the reloading, holster and granade tossing is very annoying to me. Especially when the tracking dont work properly. And forget doing it seated. I totally understand why the developers did it this way. You suppose to even out the chances to everyone. Everone should reload the same. It makes the game faster and more precise. I want to fight in this game not make it about who can reload faster. And yes i can understand the fun in realistic weapons handling but mostly its not for me who wants to concentrate on the casual game. I want the fun part, not the work part. Just my opinion.
Thank you for your comment, I really like what you’ve said here and in reality I totally agree to a certain extent. I started playing firewall Zero Hour whilst I was recovering from a spinal fracture, I couldn’t duck dive, throw or do all of the usual stuff associated with conventional VR shooters. I like the accessibility of the game, it’s probably the most accessible VR FPS out there despite it being a console exclusive, but I also would like there to be more freedom of choice for players and there will be in the future
I completely agree. Manual reloading in games like Pavlov can be too fiddly when youre under attack and kills it for me. I'm very excited for an fps Vr game of this type with auto reload.
I like it, but I could be looking at the game from a nostalgic position. I want to put a few more hours into the game before I come to any conclusions whether it is or isn’t worth it. I know straight off of the bat though, if you’re wanting a super immersive VR FPS experience, your money would probably be better spent with Pavlov
I’m not being paid, I wish I was, but I’m not. I do think the game looks good, but that’s because I’ve played hundreds of VR games that look like utter dog whilst failing to run on a £3,000 gaming PC. This game looks epic for a title running off of a £400 games console. It’s all about perspective and context, Red matter 2 looks incredible when played natively on a Quest 2, but it looks EVEN better on a PSVR 2 and even better than that in PCVR
I HATE how many problems this game has because its so so much more fun than pavlov, it plays way better. Pavlov plays like counter strike in VR, which doesnt translate very well for VR. Like body shots do nothing, its all about headshots...but you also have helmets and armor and a set amount of health. Oh and it has the same recoil system as csgo, with guns having massive recoil that is always the same. The maps are also pretty meh either with sand being the only map i like. If pavlov would let us set modifiers, like HP regen, less health, no armor to buy, objective game modes with respawns, chamge sprint speed to 1.20x, it would be a lot better. Kinda like splitgate let us make whatever we wanted, change gravity, the booster strength, the jump height, the health, headshots only, limit the guns you can use, the guns you start with etc... Id love for pavlov to have like hardcore modes with regen health, no armor or helmet, 30-50% health and pistols or sniper rifles or ak only domination matches. Guess im gonna have to wait for alvo and play this and crossfire in the meantime. I cant stand Pavlov anymore. It feels like a sandbox where all the toys are taken away aka the mods, so all you get is a lit of sand.
It’s a weird one, It’s a very similar mechanic to virtual stocks in virtually every other VR FPS, but just toggle-able in game on the fly which is cool, but also disconcerting. I don’t quite know how I feel about it just yet
Even if they change the base gameplay to something more "vr" I still feel like this is just the 15th tactical/competitive s&d vr game. This is just like one of the most saturated vr games markets.
You are not wrong there, it is incredibly saturated and games need to do a lot to stand out. I think from a nostalgic standpoint, I do believe this game is one of the better SND style games out there. It looks good, character animations are solid and the systems and features work well. I just feel that certain mechanics that were required for the previous game found their way being shoehorned into Ultra when they really should be a thing of the past.
Loving it but too much time in the lobby at the moment and should have a single player option like the first firewall. Hopefully this will all be patched in over time but very promising
This game currently sucks. Why wasn't it finished before release? Guns don't even ppint straight, aims high . Matchmaking doesn't work. Ultimately is shit. Don't buy unless they fix it
This game sucks I hate that I can't get a refund. Save your money guys. The menu system navigation is crap. The tutorial is lackluster and there are micro transactions which for me is a no go for a shooter game. I bought the $60 version and felt ripped off. So guys skip this game until it's fixed. Also you can't just add attachments to your gun you have to unlock them which is understandable but it doesn't tell you how to unlock them. Last thing the aim down sight is trash it's like you're forced to hold the gun in a way that's not natural to you and oh before I forget you can only select things with the L1 button you can't use the opposite hand which isn't immersive
Im very dissapointed... its Ultra bad...👀 eye tracking shit, ADS is awful, gripping with left hand bends the aim, and the one eye shit you have to stand still, janky animations. Cant join friends or launch as a squad, sat for hours in lobbys yesterday. Holding the guns im getting cramps because of the weird fkin angles to get the aim right. And even dedicated servers theres laggy players taking 5 in the back and turn and shoot you. A joke. The maps are great, looks good, probably too much darkness but fun. Apart from that its an absolute disgrace for 60 bucks lol 😂

No holsters and no manual reloads?! Yikes! Hard pass for me.
Big time, makes it feel more like a flat screen game with some VR aspects rather than a full on immersive VR game
Your a loser who cant try somthing new for once😂

Precisely! Why can’t I put the gun away, why has it been surgically attached to my body?!
Man the gunplay looks great but the whole not having holsters and no manual reloading kills it for me
Yeah, although manual reloads will be coming, that’s been confirmed I just want the holsters more than anything

Is there any single player gameplay campaign or bots?
Or only multiplayer game?
There are some PVE experiences available I didn’t try them out, but when I do a full review I will give them a whirl
I'm skipping this and using that money for Crossfire.
I’m looking forward to crossfire, although it’s only PVE it looks super interesting

My biggest issue is the Call of Duty style button sighting. That totally defeats the beauty of shooting in VR. They should fix that quickly.
@@UniversalStand As in the eye tracking snap? Yeah I’m not a huge fan but again that might be something that’s removed from the Ultra mode, which is looking like a more hardcore/realistic mode

No manual reloading and having to use menus to navigate is pretty lame. Its been fun so far but Pavlov does the gunplay so so much better.
Yep. I’m looking forward to the ‘ultra’ mode that’ll introduce some more manual aspects to the game, but we will see if that improves anything
Unfortunately, especially bc of the dark maps, it is torturing to watch footage on flatscreen.
Yeah the PS5’s recording system doesn’t do much for HDR footage, it’s practically illegible for flatscreens frustratingly
