Jordyn understood she made mistakes but never gave up and fought hard after bars. What I'm so impressed about is her respect for the sport and other competitors. When Komova finished her floor routine, Jordyn was the first to tell her "good job" probably believing she (Jordyn) was getting the silver. Congratulations on winning this title, Jordyn!
when she couldn't get into the all around at the Olympics I was totally crying with her. she's so powerful, dedicated, and brave. i wish her all the best.
I love Gabby but I really wished it would've been Aly and Jordyn. Aly was always my favorite and Jordyn was always my best friend's, so we were upset when Jordyn didn't get her chance along with Aly.
+GrangerDangerx You sound ridiculously selfish....Gabby won her AA gold fair and square....It is not Gabby's fault Jordyn couldn't hit when it mattered.....So there is no reason to feel sorry for her.
Hazel Amarie there shouldn’t be a 2 per country rule. it’s such bs. it kept jordyn out of aa’s when she probably would have medaled AND qualified 4th. same w gabby, and she qualified THIRD!!!! it’s ridiculous that the 3rd and 4th qualifier can’t get into aa’s because they come from a dominant country.
Seeing Jordyn Weiber cry was very heartfelt! She always has a focus, and determined look on her face, which is important in this sport. Mental is almost just as important, But you forget that these girls are just young girls! She's 16 years old and has a presence like a 30 year old. Just seeing her show the emotion that has be brewing and is so beautiful! Hard work and natural talent is paying off! :)
And i wish Komova all the best! It's truly a testament to how good you are if you can have 3 scores in the 14's and lose the gold medal by only .033!! That's actually pretty impressive.
holy crap, that beam routine was so impressive!!! why would they upgrade that?!? if anything, they should've rearranged her bars so it could've been more consistent, they just ended up making her beam inconsistent. Anyway, what an amazing performance on beam here!!
But guys you have to realize that getting second can be dissapointing i mean they have worked so hard thier entire career and to not be at the top of the podium can be very sad. She isn't a sore loser she just felt dissapointed that she didnt get what she hoped for, but she may not have appreciated the place or the medal at the time being but trust me later in life she will look back and think how great that was to be the 2nd best gymnast in the WORLD and will appreciate it greatly! Luv u vika!
Yvette Ellis jordyn said that the cry was mostly out of pure shock because she knew she made a few mistakes so she said she was actually sure she was gonna get silver that she was mentally preparing herself to accept that so when she saw she won gold, she of course was happy and grateful but she always said it was mostly shock, because she was initially certain that she was gonna take silver.
At the olympics, she was cryuing because that has been her lifelong dream but she did say afterward that she is just very excited to compete inn the teamm competition and contribute to Team USA
Jordyn is my gymnastics inspiration. im from where she lives and she was actually my best friends baby-sitter when they were younger. she's such a sweet funny girl too(: i love her!!!!
I admire Mckayla's attitude a lot.. She set a high expectation for herself, worked her butt off to achieve it, and didn't at the last moment. Her reaction is of course natural and she is constantly thinking on what she did wrong and needs to improve. Self-contemplation is the key to become champions and Mckayla clearly never showed an attitude of a sore loser.. I also truly admire Jordyn winner for the grace and dignity she showed even when facing disappointment of the highest level. However
Jordyn always seemed to remind of shawn johnson not from looks but the fact that they were so powerful. Both didnt win gold in the olympic all around (jordyn even compete because of the 2 per country rule) both world champions in team and all around year before their olympics. They are the only two that i have seen do a standing backflip with a full twist. Both great gymnasts hope jordyn has it as great as shawn when she retires.
Ipa ka la imos. Di it nim kaya it iya acrobatic skills. With her routines' degree of difficulty in all apparatuses, she really needs to be stronger and more robust, not small and slim.
sooo happy for her she deserved it! this is seriously like history repeating itself 2007 woman won gold in the team final in germany and shawn won the all around hmmm wonder what will happen in 2012
Well she did excellent on bars, decently well in vault and beam, and okay in floor. No major mistakes plus she had the confidence from qualifying first place when neither of them had huge errors. It’s not that arrogant of her in this specific case to assume that she had it considering Jordyn had a big mistake and she had a pretty clean day. I’m not sure it’s exactly fair to generalize Russian people are a whole.
Daniel Umm lol no. 1) She qualified 1st. 2) She's better (or at least at the same level) on beam as well. 3) She was only LESS than 0.05 short to win the gold medal. She knew she's capable of winning the gold that's why she's sad when she didn't win.
@@MultiChantal22 Oops, just saw this. I'm talking about how she and everyone else thought she'd won after her floor routine. It didn't have the highest difficulty and was filled with errors (most notably the fall out of the Memmel turn and the very low landing on her double pike). She should've won, but her performances on that day were lackluster compared to what she's capable of.
At 24, Jordyn is the youngest head coach in women's collegiate gymnastics. What she learned at UCLA she has already instituted at the University of Arkansas home meets, as in student and spectator participation. Once a ghost town, now Barnhill arena is actually full of Arkansas Razorback fans for gymnastics.
She learned from the master, Miss Val! I hope In the future she can bring home an NCAA team title- and some individual titles- back to Arkansas!! Maybe she and her (soon to be) husband can have a little girl who can follow her mom’s Olympic path!
I can totally see why she's the #1 ranked in the world. I wonder though, what happened at the qualifying at the Olympics? I guess it goes to show that it's all about how well you do on THAT day and THAT event. Douglas and Raisman took it home for USA! I hope Jordyn tries again for the next Olympics!
In 1980, President Carter was upset about troops in afghanistan. He told if the Soviets didnt remove them, he wouldnt send any athlete to the olympics games in Moscow. like wise, 65 nations participated in the boycott. in gymnastics, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, and West Germany didnt send any gymnast. Likewise in 1984, the Soveit Union, along with Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, North Korea, Cuba, Hungary did not send a gymnast to the 1984 olympics in Los Angeles.
Yeah, she also said in an interview that she wasn't disappointed about getting the silver, she was just disappointed in herself for not performing her best during the event.
I don't think it was poor sportsmanship. She didn't go there for silver, so she was disappointed. All throughout the Olympics I saw McKayla be one of the most sportsmanlike athletes out there. She was constantly congratulating others, aside from her teammates, and she was always smiling.
The rule's been around for a while, actually. It used to be 3 per country, but that was changed after the Sydney Olympics. It then went down to 2. IMO, it really should be THE BEST. That's who the world wants to see performing in a final.
Yes, but the thing is she wanted to win the All Around Championships twice in a row. Winning a Gold Medal in the same category multiple times is amazing. She wanted to go on a roll and keep winning and eventually be named a legend. She's got another chance next time though!
I like these commentators, unlike Tim they complement the person and don’t only speak about their errors. Like when Jordyn stepped out of bounds, she said that it was a small mistake whereas Tim would probably call it major.
I love the fact that the Komova Stans has already draped the Olympic All around gold medal on her neck...Bwahahaha havent yall learned that she cant handle the pressure, yet yall continue to add more..Unfortunately I believe Komovas best days are behind her
what really drives me bonkers is the way that komova acted after she found out. like at first she was upset and thats fine, but after that she should be a good sport and be happy she won an all around world medal but she stands on that medal podium like shes doing everyone a favor. russians in general i find are not good sports, they think they are entitled to first place.
fishdude77 yes but think about it, she had all her hopes up that she was going to win the gold medal, but then to find out she won second. You may not know about her situations at home. Her coach may be disappointed too because of all that hard work. Just stop assuming things.
I agree, she was being a poor sport and did the same thing when winning silver in London. But the Russians were so accustomed to being dominant until the 2000 games and after, where other countries like Romania, China, and USA were getting most of the medals.
Jordyn understood she made mistakes but never gave up and fought hard after bars. What I'm so impressed about is her respect for the sport and other competitors. When Komova finished her floor routine, Jordyn was the first to tell her "good job" probably believing she (Jordyn) was getting the silver. Congratulations on winning this title, Jordyn!

well put my friend.

Ella Loussia didn't the US push for that rule?
always liked the one-armed back handspring on that flight series. just a little variety, which is nice to see
Seeing Jordyn Weiber cry was very heartfelt! She always has a focus, and determined look on her face, which is important in this sport. Loved her floor routine! That double pike was spot on! I'm definitely routing for her in London! GO JORDYN!!! :D
I love Jordan so much and she's a great gymnast and I wish I can meet her
She goes to my gym twistars!!!! I saw here in the bathroom once and it was kinda awkward
Shes from my hometown, went to school with her and sat behind her in church. We're all so proud :')
holy crap, that beam routine was so impressive!!! why would they upgrade that?!? if anything, they should've rearranged her bars so it could've been more consistent, they just ended up making her beam inconsistent. Anyway, what an amazing performance on beam here!!
totally agree my friend.
Ikr
Geddert was an idiot
anyone.else notice how she almost "hovers" for a second before landing her leaps and jumps!! amazing
she is so graceful and strong. Very pretty
She’s come so far now the head coach of Arkansas
she took that medal and my heart.
The BB was the most difficult I've seen . Way to go Jordyn the US fan base has a World Champion to cheer for and with.
Jordyn Wieber is so good and very beautiful!!!
Her floor routine was absolutely killer.
She is such a phenomenal athlete
that was tears of joy. She is happy that she won the gold medal
But guys you have to realize that getting second can be dissapointing i mean they have worked so hard thier entire career and to not be at the top of the podium can be very sad. Her gymnastics reminds me of Carly Patterson
Jordyn is still an Olympian Champion no matter which way you cut it! She will be back in 4 years for AA and WIN!
No not so much. She was the first to retire and move in another direction…
i saw it yesterday and she won the gold! nice job jo!!!!
way to go jordyn! rooting for you for all-around gold at 2012 olympics!!!
Honestly, I think gymnastics is the most difficult of the olympics. I could never imagine myself doing all those crazy things.
I cried when she Wieber started crying!

Go USA. So proud of my country and its gymnasts.
What an ATHLETE!!! 🤸♀️👍😀🙏
What happened to this poor girl was one of the most intense and painful heartbreaks anyone could ever imagine. My heart breaks for her. :(
I really like these commentators. They're very supportive
Jordyn deserved the win. She was and is an amazing gymnast!
I was watching this in tv when i for the first time i saw her shes good at gymnastics.
because she became the World Champion by .033 of a point
WONDERFUL landing on the double-layout dismount from the bars.
I LOVE Aly
Jordyn is my gymnastics inspiration. im from where she lives and she was actually my best friends baby-sitter when they were younger. she's such a sweet funny girl too(: i love her!!!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH! INCREDIBLE WORK! HIGHLY APPRECIATED! BESSINGS!
of course shes awesome shes can do everything i haven't seen her doing something bad and shes beautiful
My favorite video for jordan ah i love her reaction
I love you jordyn!
Just one word to explain this- TALENT! I mean really....WORLD CHAMPION!!
Go J. Wieber!
I admire Mckayla's attitude a lot.. She set a high expectation for herself, worked her butt off to achieve it, and didn't at the last moment. At first the pink on her leotard looked like she have a very tiny waist and huge hips. Until I saw the black I was like oh ok good....😂😂
Same here
sameeee😂😂
Same
Ipa ka la imos. Di it nim kaya it iya acrobatic skills. With her routines' degree of difficulty in all apparatuses, she really needs to be stronger and more robust, not small and slim.
Isabella The Gymnast same
I will always love you queen wieber❤😻
-Jordyn hugs her coach-
Aly Walks up
Aly: Hug? Hello? Jorrrdynnnn.
Jordyn: Oh hey
i love jordyn i still cant believe shes from michigan
Way to surprise herself, opponents and teammates!Keep up the good work girl!
I love Komova.
I do gymnastics and she makes it look so easy
i was so happy for jordyn !!
I love Jordyn, I hope she wins gold at the Olympics!
She was only 13 years old when she won this incredible, amazing young lady.
That’s just not true tho. She was 13 when she won American cup in 2009
Jordyn great performance I love that !.
sooo happy for her she deserved it! this is seriously like history repeating itself 2007 woman won gold in the team final in germany and shawn won the all around hmmm wonder what will happen in 2012
I cannot believe these girls are only 16. Omg what pressure! They are so tough!!!!!!!!!!!!
No idea why Komova thought she had this all wrapped up. The only thing she was better on was bars.
Russian gymnasts have a habit of being cocky. This is why the americans sneak up on them because they assume nothing.
Well she did excellent on bars, decently well in vault and beam, and okay in floor. No major mistakes plus she had the confidence from qualifying first place when neither of them had huge errors.

Puff Ball I’m not sure about that, the crowd and even the commentators thought Komova had done it

gah... i wish there were slow motion replays on this!
but i'm so happy for jordyn. she's more consistent and deserved to win overall.
i yhink the high low bars are the coolest its awesome to watch
She's beautiful
Aw, Viktoria :( She's so good and seems so sweet.
Looking good Jordyn Wieber.
I always forget how big and easy her leaps were. It was like she calmly raised her leg and was pushed into the air by the floor or beam.
SHE IS AWESOME!!!
She's clean. She's got it

I really like the woman who is speaking. She comments on the pros of the gymnast;s performance and barely mentions the cons. =)
i love jordan beam routine
@xraintimex "Wild Dances" by Ruslana. It won Eurovision a few years back. It's one of my favorite floor routines. :)
i like her floor routine its really cool
Yeah, she also said in an interview that she wasn't disappointed about getting the silver, she was just disappointed in herself for not performing her best during the event.
omg I would kill to win a bronze medal and these people are sobbing when thry get a silver. It's a huge achievment to even get into the olympics
I don't think it was poor sportsmanship. She didn't go there for silver, so she was disappointed. All throughout the Olympics I saw McKayla be one of the most sportsmanlike athletes out there. She was constantly congratulating others, aside from her teammates, and she was always smiling.
You probably found out the answer by now, but yes. The rule isn't just for AA final. It's also active for VT EF, UB EF, BB EF, and FX EF.
Y
That young girl as an adult becomes the head coach of a major SEC gymnastics program.
She's happy!
Heck ya!!!! Like totally rocked it out of the park! GO JOR!!!!! Totally awesome, Jor! You did great, JORRR!!!!
yes she does

i love when thr guys like "ohhh!"
2020 and it was a real robbery because he deserved to win komova
but fate did justice and at least komova did have a medal in the AA in London 2012
I love her floor music
@bamagym She also hit her feet on the bar during a release move on high bar.
"She's looking anxiously first time we saw smile and relaxation" "Oh!" That was a weird sound! :I 5:18
I will post as many times as I get an email about it in my inbox
Go to 5:54 for a nice suprise
when she did her full back tuck on beam, I was so scared that she would fall!
Yes, but the thing is she wanted to win the All Around Championships twice in a row. Winning a Gold Medal in the same category multiple times is amazing. She wanted to go on a roll and keep winning and eventually be named a legend. She's got another chance next time though!
this is sick how dose she do this
I LOVE WIEBER
I like these commentators, unlike Tim they complement the person and don’t only speak about their errors. Like when Jordyn stepped out of bounds, she said that it was a small mistake whereas Tim would probably call it major.
Super excellent
It's 2 members for each country to prevent a team hogging all the medals
Great job jordyn ur my idol
Amazing how she stuck that huge double pike
I love the fact that the Komova Stans has already draped the Olympic All around gold medal on her neck...Bwahahaha havent yall learned that she cant handle the pressure, yet yall continue to add more..Unfortunately I believe Komovas best days are behind her
