    Only seen this vid now. Looks like brilliant Tiger 1 kit, but oh my God. Those individual guide teeth. You deserve a medal. Tried them on Meng Panther D. Couldn't continue. They drove me insane. Used old Tamiya rubber bands instead.

    You are amazing. I would like to be able to dojust half of what you do. But I don't think I'll ever have that kind of time in life to get there. But till then I'll be trying and learning.

      Thank you!!! Just keep trying and you will get there. However you need a lot of time and enthusiasm to keep you going. I lack both the last months but hopefully will get better.

    Great job George. I know, you hate to cover up all the detail you created with the interior. I like how you stacked it. Very professional {for a beginner}. Well done. thanks again for the sneak peek. Congrats on the Tiger, she's a beaut

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks man I really appreciated. It is a simple way to show off the interior. A more professional approach was going to be create cut outs with all the parts in the correct position. Maybe a good idea in my next full interior kit :)

    Amazing job done.I will start building Tiger II with full interior 1:35 from Takom.
    For displaying the model i will use small magnets to hold three main parts together,
    so i can remove the upper hull,turret and roof of the turret to display the interior.
    I hope that will work.

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks. Takom's king tiger is in my wish list but I burned out for the moment to try an interior kit soon. Are you going to use the magnets to properly close the parts together (like a real tank) or keep them together expanded?

    • @realkekec4028
      @realkekec4028 4 роки тому +2

      @@GeorgeModellingforBeginners I will use them to properly close the parts,but when needed,i can open and display the interior.I just finished building a german u-boot Type XXI with interior 1/144 scale,and i will install led lights in the sub.

    Hi George. loving the build, superb detail. It's inspiring for those of us who might be a little intimidated by such a complex build, so thank you. Totally unrelated, but what was that last piece of music you had playing, I totally zoned out to it? Great for meditation!

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  4 роки тому +3

      Thanks. This is an amazing kit and the fit is excellent. However it is highly detailed hence it has very fiddly parts (especially the turret). Also not recommended for beginners off course but definitely doable (since I did it). I left comments in my videos so I encourage you to watch them for more details.

    Beautiful job what did you use for the zimmerit application ?

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you. I used a filler called "No more nails" and I applied it with the zimmerit tool that comes with the kit.

      @@GeorgeModellingforBeginners That stuff works great for zimmerit. I found it on another video and I have since used it on 3 panzers with the Tamiya 0.7mm tools. Looks great when painted.

    hey with this model do the plastic pegs come supplied with the tank to make it three layers like you did so the interior can be properly viewed ? beautiful work. congrats.

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  3 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately no, that was my inspiration. I just scratch build some pegs with styrene sheets and chopped some styrene rods from leftover clear sprues. I think it looks good.

    Did a great job...I've just finished the interior hull and Turret and getting ready finish spray it...any advice on the suspending the parts,what did you use for the supports and how long did this model take you to do....thanks

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you. Do you mean the suspension? If you do, it goes together very easy. RFM give you the option to have them workable if you trim a little peg. But I was worried of the weight of the kit so I glue them in place just to have a piece of mind. In total this build took me round 5 months to finish it.

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  3 роки тому +1

      Ah ok sorry for the misunderstanding. I used straight clear sprue leftovers from old builds. I sand them and polish them them to look smooth and then bath them into clear varnish. Not great but that was the solution I came up at that time.

  • @chrisbarry4734

    What tool did you to hold the tracks together at 6:17

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  6 місяців тому +3

      It is the track jig that comes with the kit. It comes in three pieces, and you put it together with cement.

      Google translation: "If you make a crew and they would support the top plate of the armour and the roof of the tower as an idea". My response: Great idea :) I am thinking of using crew in my next full interior build. Although I do not know if they will be strong enough to lift the upper plate :)

    I laughed at 0:23 'The Tiger's interleaf road wheel/suspension is ingenious in my opinion".
    So did the engineers, but sadly the mechanics and tank crews disagreed because they had to take off up to 9 to repair one!

    • @GeorgeModellingforBeginners
      @GeorgeModellingforBeginners  2 роки тому +2

      Haha you are right. As an engineer myself, I focused to the design rather than the practicality and the repair effort. Poor crew...
