    Thanks for another brilliantly put together tour Bob. What a sweet little ship, lovely decor and especially all the crew waving at you in the restaurant 😂

      LOL.. oh yes, I forgot about that scene in Discoveries (the MDR). They were quite happy to ham it up with our camera.
      Glad you liked the tour.... Journey not is as great material condition as Pursuit, but the crew-- just lovely.

    Thank you for a great video, and I really appreciate the factual, minimal narration 😁 have heard there is much more movement in these smaller ships. We are considering a transatlantic. Any thoughts on how effective the stabilizers are ? Thank you!

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  4 місяці тому

      @@tambraeknapp3266 You are very welcome! The stabilizers are good, but I’d recommend a mid/low cabin to best reduce movement on the ship on a TA.

    We just lifted/shifted our June 2022 Azamara Journey Black Sea sailing to next June 2023. Sigh! Thanks for the video!

      You’re very welcome, and wow, the Black Sea would be an amazing place to cruise.

    Beautiful ship - the Azamara fleet were all docked in Glasgow (my home city) throughout the closedown, and I looked at them every time I drove past and thought they were stunning! Glad to now see onboard and know my general view was absolutely correct!

    Nice video. Ship looks absolutely spotless !

      Thank you, she was mostly spotless, though in my opinion, she could’ve had a little bit of a touch up paint before returning to service. The crew were amazing as always.

      You need to go on Azamara. I think @chadcruisers are nearly sold on trying it.

    This is the old Pacific Princess ship from Princess Cruise Line. Cruised on this ship for the Fiftieth anniversary (1965-2015) of Princess’s first cruise. The entire cast of the TV program Love Boat was on board. It was a fantastic experience. Love this ship. So much better than the mega cruise ships today.

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  Рік тому

      Hi Maltese Fan. Actually it is not. Pacific Princess became Azamara Onward, another of the R-Class ships. Journey was R-Six, and was ‘Blue Dream’ before Azamara ought her. Loved Pacific Princess! That was our very first ship tour, it’s on our channel under Princess and Princess Ship Tours playlists (see the ‘home page’ of our channel). Thank you for watching!

    • @artvandelay409
      @artvandelay409 Рік тому

      The Pacific Princess was scrapped a long time ago.

    • @maltesefan3157
      @maltesefan3157 Рік тому

      @@artvandelay409 That’s correct. The ship from the ‘60’s was scrapped. This was the second ship of the Princess fleet to be named ‘Pacific Princess.’ Your knowledge of the first Pacific Princess can be verified by comparing pictures of the two ships.

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  Рік тому

      @ajmacnab63 actually, that is not correct. ‘A’ Pacific Princess was scrapped, but it isn’t singular as with ‘the’. There have been two ships to carry that name.

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  Рік тому

      @maltesefan3157, as I mentioned two months ago, Journey was never Pacific Princess. Ever. The only similarity they share is that this is another R Class ship.

    Great video thanks, we'll be on the Azamara Journey in October. What deck do you recommend if you go to sleep early and don't want to hear loud music?

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks, 1503 😊 Well, below 8. I highly recommend having at least one full deck in between you and the pool deck.
      Depending on the type of cabin you were in, if you can swing it, get a spa suite which is deck nine forward, and no noise at all. If in a standard veranda, definitely try for seven or below. Thank you for watching!

      I just told Chris and Brad the same thing, but I have no idea why this comment a month old is just now showing up in my alerts.
      I’m glad you enjoyed the ship!
      Azamara are not really that expensive, I would put them behind Viking by at least 20% in Perdiem, and they do include quite a lot for their cruise fare.

    Lots of stairs you never showed elevators, do they access all 10 decks?

    • @InnocentsAbroad
      @InnocentsAbroad  Рік тому +1

      There are two sets of elevators, which reach the 10 decks. I perhaps should have filmed their existence, although capturing an elevator in media has its own set of ups and downs.
