Just joining. I have never been a fan of having 'second teams' and being a Sheffield Wednesday fan since conception, am changing a habit of a lifetime. Maybe you should change 'buy me a coffee' to 'get me a brew'.
Phil Parkinson has got to be classed as a great manager for us, though one that in my view who needs a mention as a great manager is John Neal, absolute brilliant manager with the resources he had to work with. Great episode again.
Blues fan here. Saw you with boy in blue video before the season and im glad your doing well. Just as long we finally go ahead 😭. Been a great season so far though cant wait to go to the racecourse for round 2
@@seanhodgkins821 we are looking to it to. In regards to talking about being top of the league, we are Wrexham fans so we are going to relish being top of the league whether it lasts or not
I think another promotion and Parky will be regarded as our greatest ever manager, i have been watching since 74 so can only speak since then, but his win record and achievements set him apart from most. Also the joy and general feel good around the town has been brought by him, his team, and obviously the owners.
I think playing Mullin from start, was a parky masterclass. Now the pressure is off him, so he can play Marriot when he thinks necessary now. I think Arfon Griffiths was a very good manager in late 70's. Ken Barnes was manager when i first watched Wrexham 1964/65 i think. Great show as usual.
as long as the standing is the only issue, we're doing great - look what happened AGAIN in Vienna this sunday in and around the stadium. See, because of things like that I'm happy to travel 7 hours to watch a game of football in Wrexham - there I feel save and I can meet friends :)
Best Manager: Throw in Arfon Griffiths and an assistant in later years: Joey Jones. Managers through different and difficult years with not quite as much cash to spend….(?) just a thought or two guys.
Great podcast. I'm still 0-whatever on score predictions, though I had the Saturday result correct. One thing I noted watching on the telly was that the Blues changed their shape to better matchup against Wrexham, about 15 minutes in, and a £9m club playing a £36m club doesn't necessarily have a Plan B that will work when Plan A is closed off.
MOM should be determined by the fans, now we have wifi (🙂) we should be allowed to vote, it is disheartening when someone puts in a great performance and then the sponsors vote for their favourite
The atmosphere wasn't helped by next to no Crawley fans, atmosphere normally generated by 2 sets of fans going at each other, the occasion didn't help either, think the tickets returned by Crawley so late in the day should have gone on general sale
Good content, but you seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on being top of the league at this early part of the season. You’ll have to dismiss any notion of keeping hold of the top spot ‘cause we all know who’s gonna win this league.

You won't believe this but my youngest is Aidan Thor! Today is his birthday as well. Great episode as always.
@@sarahm8865 ah happy birthday Aidan and what an amazing name we love it

Also. while TransferMarkt doesn't show Max as a million+ player yet (they only show two Wrexham players in the £1m+ club), I expect that'll happen.
I would like to see Marriott and Mullin start together. Palmer was looking slow again on Saturday.
