- more than 400 South African soldiers arrived in Goma, the capital city of North Kivu Province in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, as an advance party of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) troop deployment.
Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs Christophe Lutundula said that, “the main objective of the SADC force is defeating the M23 rebellion.”

There something also which I still don't understand. why Tanzanian chose to join the SADEC force instead of EAC force? I seems there was something wrong with the EAC organizations or else the plan behind the EAC organisation to work alongside the Enemy of M23. But They chose to do things with honesty rather than betraying there fellow brothers from DRCongo.
The same Tanzania that is picking up fights with its neighbors every other time. Currently they can't allow Malawian trucks to enter Tanziana.
You cannot fight Rwanda’s proxy war using the EAC, its the brotherhood. Afrika is in a mess, money speaks, as small Rwanda is, it well armed by the west.

Tanzania is part of both East Africa and Southern Africa. Problem with East Africa is that Kagame and M7 are long time leaders who call the shots in that body. Now in SADC,it’s South Africa that calls the shots,now they are Bantus and want to see a stable Congo to protect their brothers,unlike Kagame ,Ruto and M7 who are Nilotes/Tutsis. Since Tanzania is now working in SADC body,they will be working under command of South African leadership that wants to put M23 out of action.

What did I say when most of the youtubers were excited that the DRC was joining the EAC? Some were even talking about EAC creating a big country.
I stated that the programme of Rwanda is western sponsored, as long as the west still gets mineral cheaper in the DRC, there won;t be any stability, and that fir an outsider to break the bond of the AEC brotherhood is so difficult, the rest of the AEC will stand with Rwanda or just turn a blind eye.
Though we are helping in the DRC, we are doing the same in SADC as Southern Africa, due the bond, we ignore and trun a blind eye to what is happening in Eswatini, we even supporting Zimbabwe in its atrocities, rigging elections, arresting and killing opposition.
Thanks my brother, great update, and I hope whatever we do in the DRC brings relief to the citizens of that country and bring a real stability. But as long as the AU does not declare that Rwanda is destabilising the DRC, we are in for a long haul.
That is why I dismissed the AU’s Agenda 2063 as a joke.
Kenya under uhuru Kenyatta or another president would have sided with the DRC. It is just that the US and Britain rigged our elections and installed their stooge. Our current government works hand in gloves with Rwanda and Uganda, and that is why the mission was botched.Salve Kiir owes his position to Museveni and was not going to help DRC You can see Burundi are fighting alongside the DRC government, but Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan weren't helping.

That is the collective of the countries in the southern part of Africa of which in that mission like you say includes countries like Tanzania, Bostwana, Malawi and South Africa itself.

South Africa as a SADC member that had inherited the 7th best defence force in the world and had an excellent arms industry that could produce the Rooivalk attack helicopter by 1994, must certainly contribute towards the AU objective to silence the guns in Africa! It might be of value if the SA and the global Church also bring back the Gospel of Peace in eastern DRC.

They will always come . After battle they must sit and plan peace not wait for them to rebel again. Remember has been revolving in years . I know them as CNDP under General Laurent Nkunda. Nkunda was Ousted by Bosco Ntaganda. Ntaganda was removed by Makenga. I dont know their current General now. They be both Political and Miltary leadership. I never really cared about their civil leadership. Civilian Leaders might be sitting somewhere in Rwanda or Uganda

They are being denied their Congolese citizenship. Their parents and families lives in camps in DRC, Rwanda, Uganda, Tz,..so they want them back to their homes. The reason why they fled is the presence of FDLR genociders who target Tutsis in Masisi, Rutchuro, and else where in DRC. M23 had formally joined FARDC but didn't agree on area of deployment. DRC military hierarchy wanted them to be deployed in different places in DRC but M23 forces wanted to stay in North and South Kivu to clear the area so that they can fight against the insecurity that have been localized there since 1994. But DRC government didn't listen to them so M23 rebelled in 2012. M23 always want talks with DRC government up to now but DRC government refuse negotiations with them. They treat them as terrorists, foreign agents, infiltrators, Rwandese,... They are basically being denied their congolese nationality. The real reason behind being the division ideology that Tutsis are not allowed in Bantu land since they are not bantu but nilotics. However Tutsis are Bantu by their language and have been living in these area now belonging to DRC from several centuries. Rwandan kingdom was defeated in first world war and Belgium took a big part of it and annexed to Congo while British took another part to Uganda. So you have Banyarwanda in DRC, In Uganda, In Tanzania,.. Basically the problem is political. Defeating M23 will not solve the problem. It will just postpone it. That is why East African. forces didn't want to fight them. A peaceful solution could be achieved but DRC government is very stubborn.

Sadc is fighting with people who want their rights and that is why they are fighting when they have nothing to lose.
M23 rebels are majorly formed by eastern congo tribes especially Banyamulenge who have been victims of so much segregation and have been systematically ethnically cleansed just because they speak Kinyarwanda as their language. In the past they've been denationalised and have been called Rwandese yet they ended up under Congo's jurisdiction during the partition of Africa just like other crossboarder tribes. The rebels fighting the government want their people living in poor conditions in refugee camps across greatlakes and beyond to be resettled back in their lands but the government doesn't want. To understand their cause, u need to read more about the agreements they signed with the Congolese government in 2013 but the government didn't implement them thus justifying their fight. They're literally a people who are fighting for their own survival and genuine causes that need to be addressed as soon as possible but the world don't normally hear their side of the story.

East Africa force plan was the best option, the deployment was to bring the people to the negotiation table. Fighting as being pushed by South Africa force will only breed more fighting.... Review the scenario after 6months.
You cannot negotiate with terrorists. M23 are not rebels. EAC was already compromised to begin with because 1 member is the source of the problem. EAC is only good for economic relationships.

What was the plan? Engaging in widespread sexual crimes against Congolese women & children? Colluding with rebels & giving them a free pass? Abandoning villages in order for civilians to be slaughtered? Running away from the field when confronted by the rebels?
