As a new Kill Team player, this batrep is great, it really helps having your thoughts on the situation in the moment and the options you're considering.
Hey awesome report, though it was pretty clear who'd win from the start :) Death Guard Man don't feel bad, the map was incredibly skewed in warpcoven's favor. The core book shows this exact setup as a negative example of how not to set up your board (unless you're playing a narrative scenario).
Was too open? Or what's the problem with this terrain?

A grudge match for the ages, Death Guard's black with the bright green is a super cool color scheme.
Good game, rough match up for DG with warpcoven having Ephemeral Instability (-2" to dash and charge) paired with a couple unlucky attack rolls and lucky saves. Looking forward to more bat reps. Any chance we'll see either of the new teams from the box soon? I'm kinda fiending for some Handy Archon games.
@@XDfunnyguy Yes! We have the teams and are in the process of getting them painted up! Want to see each of them play against a specific team in particular?
@@Six-SidedLegion maybe archon vs an elite team like intercession? The batreps ive seen so far have been against similar sized teams, corsairs and arbites so far. Though vs arbites could be neat too. Pre launch it seemed everyone was hoping up how good arbites were going to be, and it seems now everyone is pretty luke warm on them. I feel like it'll be like the octarius box all over again, with the Archon (like commandos) seeming way stronger on launch because no one has quite figured out arbites.

Finally a Warpcoven victory (first match I saw this).
I've actually been thinking about redoing My warpcoven and bringing them back to the channel. Any team you would want to see them against? -Brett
@@Six-SidedLegion I would love to see them against a team with at least 9 operatives. So, anything but another elite matchup. (The recorded Warpcoven matches are so rare and most of them are Space Marines vs. Space Marines)
I thought death guard could only have 5 operatives? Each death guard fire team only has 2 operatives, but the fire team with the leader can take an extra warrior operatives. Am i reading the rules wrong?
In the April 2023 balance dataslate, for plague marine fireteams, they can take 1 additional warrior. The champion can be instead of 1 warrior, not in addition to. This means one fireteam can have 2 plague marine operatives plus 1 warrior and the other fireteam can have 2 plague marine operatives plus 1 leader.
