    Very helpful for memorizing the sequence of the teeth eruption. I honestly was struggling with this, but now I feel so much confident. Thank you and God bless!

    Doesn't primary mandibular lateral incisor erupt before the maxillary lateral incisor?

    • @dentaleducation1977
      @dentaleducation1977  8 років тому +2

      According the the ADA the period of eruption varies for each tooth however maxillary lateral can start as early as 9 months while mandibular lateral as early as 10 months. hope this helps www.ada.org/~/media/ADA/Publications/Files/patient_56.ashx

    some sources say that mand first canine erupt first and then max canine. I'm confused how to answered on exam

    • @dentaleducation1977
      @dentaleducation1977  7 років тому

      Lena, just go with the ADA and their chart, the link is in the comment below. The main problem with teeth is that they vary with eruption from one individual to another, that is why some teeth erupt one year while the other can erupt a year after or before and so forth.

    Doesnt the Permanent Maxillary 1st premolar come before the mandibular?

    • @dentaleducation1977
      @dentaleducation1977  6 років тому +2

      It makes sense why you are asking that question. The ADA shows that Maxillary 1st premolars erupt within 10-11 y/o while mandibular erupt 10-12 y/o. This means for these two teeth it can go either way. The importance of knowing this eruption sequence is really not to know which 1st premolars erupt first because in this case it can either way; the point however is to know the real difference of eruption between the other groups of teeth, for ex: centrals to laterals, or canine to premolars and so forth. hope this explanation help Jamjam Jam.

      NXI is short for, and pronounced as “Nixi”.
      Nixi (or Nixae) is a girls name with a Latin (ancient Roman) origin, meaning “goddess of childbirth”.
      It’s also a cool way to remember how the deciduous teeth of kids ( children) erupt (or are born).
      See what I did there?
