If you make it out to the LA area, The Art Theatre in Long Beach sounds like the perfect spot
Would you be able to make it down to Wilmington, NC? Thalian Hall here hosts indie movies a few times and month and has had some great works
If you're coming to Vancouver, BC The Rio Theatre might be a great fit
Chicagos got the music box theater, Logan square theater and the Davis theater, never mind the many universities that probably would be open to hosting a screening
There's a great independent theatre in Kingston, Ontario called the Screening Room which would be great for this film.
Oh my god, this looks absolutely incredible. This pocket of time in history that you've clearly become enamoured with shines through in projects like this.
I couldn't agree more, this era of history has a lot of potential for such amazing stories to come from it
hard pass
Just bought my ticket. I've been hyped about this for quite awhile, and now that it's actually happening I can scarcely believe it. I can't wait to see you and your work, Andy. Congrats my friend!!
Awesome! See you there!
Where can you see this!

@@mitchellwright5478wow! that fast!
@@medievalist8441 ayy man we been waiting three years for this, it was bound to sell out fast
As an Italian member of your audience, and on behalf of all my peers, please tell us whenever your movie goes online on a streaming service, I really, REALLY need to watch this ❤
Y'all will be the first to know! (just generally you folks online, not just Italians)
Because, as we all know, he's no racist...
@@paulleverton9569 - Try turning on CC. I don't know if it's working but that might help. As for the accent. I have the same problem with everyone else speaking English except Americans... including English citizens.
@@paulleverton9569 I can! Most of old English/archaic English is based either on Latin, French or German, and I can fully understand French and Latin.
@@paulleverton9569think of it as a West Country accent and you should be fine.
Andrew is single handled keeping Puritanism alive lol
😆😆😆
Wait is atunshei’s name actually Andrew?
Why not? It's the forerunner of representative democracy!
And yet he is not religious.
@@thevenator3955 Indeed, he refers to himself as "Andy" in some of his videos. His Gods and Generals video springs to mind.
First off, Congrats Atun. Excited to see this do well. You and your cast and crew worked your butts off for this and I know it'll be awesome.
I've been a casual of this channel for years and I am so stoked for you man! I'm extremely picky about film/movies and found this trailer VERY impressive. The "Saw what?" pause was A++ Excellent stuff. Can't wait to watch!
………………………………..Saw what?
Just bought tickets!! As a Salem native and guide I’m delighted you chose us!!
See you there!
@@AtunSheiFilms See you there!!
Man, this is absolutely incredible. First got introduced to this channel because of this movie!
Take it as you will from an internet stranger, but I’m really proud of how far you’ve come over the last 4 years when I first saw a video of yours.
I’m looking forward to this film immensely and I’m excited to see where you’ll go after this. Cheers mate!
'Tell me you've watched a field in England without telling me you've watched a field in England' haha. How will this be released? Will we be able to watch it in the UK? Really glad you finally made it!
I believe they will try to stream it after the premier.
😁
I appreciate the effort you put into these, You've become by favorite creator by far. Also the Witch finder better make a cameo in this.
Congratulations on reaching this milestone.
I don't suppose we'll get any screenings in the UK, but I hope we can get to see it via streaming.
The long-awaited and overdue trailer has at last been released! I will state with great pleasure and delight that the teaser trailer has not disappointed by expectations. I am very exhilarated for the release of this short film.
This... actually looks really good. The actors seem a bit young, but the story and acting looks incredible. As a HEMA practitioner I am especially delighted at the period-appropriate weaponry and armor and I can't wait to see what you put together
To be fair, that might be because we're used to actors older than the people at the time would be playing "younger" people. Mel Gibson was probably 15-20 years older than the real Swamp Fox when he portrayed him in "The Patriot" (man, what an awful movie that was...).
@@snorpenbass4196 I agree, The Patriot is an awful movie. It has its moments, but sometimes it makes me want to vomit red white and blue.
You have a good point there, however I will point out that the average person throughout history lived a life that was much harder on the body than what we tend to see in the US and other modernized nations. People had to deal with malnutrition, disease, numerous injuries that did not heal properly, poor health care, excessive use of drugs and alcohol (ok, we still have plenty of that, and you can see it in the faces of those who indulge excessively), and constant exposure to the sun. All of these cause the body to age more rapidly, and you can see this effect in underdeveloped countries where the average citizen is still exposed to these kinds of conditions. By the time they are in their 30s they look much older by comparison. Also, we have an obsession with skin care routines and staving off the signs of aging as much as possible now, so we kinda expect someone in their 40s to still look fairly youthful, especially in Hollywood.
Anyway, just my take on things, but I still see your point and acknowledge that sometimes(often) Hollywood makes changes that deviate greatly from history and it can give us a skewed vision of historical events
@@snorpenbass4196 I didn’t know about it until I was watching it in a History in Film class….as an American…in England 😬😭
Ya ever just slink down real low in your seat ready to die of embarrassment? 😂
Man the tickets sold out by the time I saw the announcement and I’m a Massachusetts Native myself! I wanted to see it so bad. I hope it gets a full release later down the road! Big ups Andy!
This looks amazing, It had been on the back of my mind since you mentioned you were working on it, and I am very glad to now see that your collected work is coming to fruition. Congratulations to you and your crew, this looks amazing!
0:47 what a nice subversion of where horror trailers would put in a jump scare and likely also reveal the monster
Good god man, why haven't a studio hired you yet. All they need to do is pay you a living wage and you actually bring back good films to the cinema. Good on ya mate, improved a lot since I first discovered this channel.
oh dammit! I'm the guy who asked for the Witchfinder General to go to Salem, but the premier is on our first wedding anniversary! I'll keep an eye out when it's online for streaming, I'd love to see it on Nebula!
never heard i of you but a friend reccomended this to me, this looks metal as hell and i’m really excited for how it’ll turn out
I only hope that there is a version with subtitles, because English is not my first language (I'm Spanish). It would be cool if you managed to get a Spanish dub team, but I doubt you have the budget for that. It looks incredible and I would love to watch it.
I've been following this channel for some time now, and I've been keeping my eye out for the updates on this film. Honestly the trailer alone looks so captivating and thrilling, especially with ticking in the music (which I tend to consider as a perfect addition to any thriller or horror film).
I am rather disappointed that I won't be able to go to Massachusetts to see the premiere of this film for I lack proper transportation, but I shall certainly wait for when it is possibly brought over to streaming services.
Love your content Andrew, hope to see more spectacular pieces from you possibly in the future.
Thus probably sounds sad but I’ve been having a rough day (month, really) so seeing this notification when I finally got home did make me feel well enough to smile
This is so beautiful. I can’t wait to see the full film.
You sir give me hope that there are people out there still interested in pushing historical fiction film
Don't like scary movies, don't like scary movies, don't liked scary movies.... wishing the filmmakers great success with this.
Squeeeeeeee! So excited for this! I'll be keeping my eye out for that streaming info, please make sure it's available in Australia! (we have a tendency to be forgotten by various services)
Can i just say Thank you for making a trailer without random blurbs that don't make any sense played back to back. Been so used to trailers using random lines to make meaningless excitement that just make the whole thing look by the numbers or just dumb. Here you went and made a trailer with lines that paint a picture or play a scene that drives home what kind of film this is. Builds far more excitement than word salad ever could. If i didn't have the interesting visuals to tell me what i was going to be watching. I at least have the Audio that paints it perfectly.
youtube aint showing you vids in my feed anymore, for 1 month i did not even know that this video had dropped, anyways amazing job my friend atun and crew
Holyyyy . . . The use of genuine Early Modern English dialect is *amzing!* I can't wait to see this!
Remember discovering this channel with the excellent Dracula video a few Halloweens back and thinking 'this fella needs to make films'.
I findeth mine own humours unbalanced, mine own happiness unbound'd. This is going to ruleth.
I decided, that I need this movie in my life. I hope, there will be a release in Europe.
I’ve been waiting for this for years! Way to go Andrew and team!
Crazy! This is so impressive man
Not gonna lie, Atun-Shei sir. This looks cool as fuck. I love how you have a *very* deliberate aesthetic you're going for and I'm hype for a release I can see.
This film has the same ambiance and quality as classic movies from the 70s and 80s. That's like nonexistent in 21st century mainstream cinema, like you'd think based on that quality alone this would get distributed by movie production companies.
I wanna get it on DVD 📀
Does anyone have insight into the possibility of one day acquiring it as such?
Seldom do I hear much from this channel, but this makes me wait in anticipation of what shall come. And I, myself, cannot wait for such...much looking forward to this.
1:25 I feel everything BUT SAFE with that face staring at my soul
you are the most underrated youtuber on this platform no doubt 100%
Im really excited to see this i sadly am low on excess funds and no longer live near Massachusetts but ill be the first in line for online distribution
Looks great. I'll be eagerly awaiting information on where I can buy a copy.
My partner & I who are both fans are finally sitting down to watch this on Amazon. Right off the bat, something about how this film is shot makes it feel almost like an older film. Was this shot on film & not digital like most films are made today?
Edit: We are later into the film, holyshit this isn’t quite what I expected & I am not sure what is happening?!
I used to do a bit of acting, and I feel I could've found a place for my 'fire and brimstone' Scottish Presbyterian Minister character in there somewhere. He was my favourite to do, always shouting about hell, the Pope being the Antichrist and other wonders of Calvinist theology. Best of luck with your project man, certainly looking forward to it.
Nice work Andy!! Loving the creepiness, the hand crawl made me feel weird!
Yes and Amen. Let's go to the movies!!!
So interesting, has that Robert Eggers feel to it with some Elem Klimov vibe.
Comments for the traction gods! Brother your aesthetic matches all my criteria, from the time periods to the grim- weird undertones. No wonder yet another of your works amazes me. Best of luck with this new endeavor, your friend and fan in Greece!
I'm so excited. This looks really, really good. And I am very much still afeart, Andy.
Please make it to Chicago on your tour! (Or Milwaukee. I'll drive.)
that looks really intesting. I can't see it in a cinema unfortunately since I live across an ocean, but I hope to be able to see it once it's available for streaming.
Your film most definitely seems to be an extremely well researched and dramatic period piece on 17th Century Colonial Massachusetts Bay Colony, without question! I have a few ideas for scripts, concerning some very unique historical tales (that you might be interested in) from my hometown of Salisbury, Massachusetts that I hope to complete. A line of my family were early English Puritan Colonists who first reached Salem and Boston in the year 1630, and took part in the settlement of Portsmouth, Exeter, and Hampton, New Hampshire.
First congrats on making it trough making this, second: the hat you wear looks stunning is it custom made and would you know the name of it to try and get one?
Oh man, that looks fantastic. I doubt I will be able to see it but you go AtunShe.... do your thing!
absolutely can't wait for this to come out!! ;0; will this be available to watch on UA-cam like Frozen 50's Man?
Appreciate the period-appropriate aspect ratio
Period appropriate english spoken, well done. Anywhere to see this in the UK?
Good luck on the premier! From Mongolia :)
🇲🇳
I’m very impressed that the silent part of the trailer didn’t end in a loud jumpscare. Good job kicking the trend
Can't wait. In the wrong country to see the premiere but I'm excited to watch it when it is released more widely.
This looks fantastic!
But, how will we in the old world be able to watch it? Will it be possible to buy it for streaming on Vimeo?
The person in the suit of armor looks just like Oliver Reed, for a second thought this was some old found film, looks great!
Be not afeared. Thou art safe, now. Nope nope nope nope! Man how terrifying. I want this movie.
That looks really good!! Now can we get another episode of Checkmate Lincolnites already
Sad to say I won’t make the premiere, only went to Salem for the 4th to 5th of august. Wish I could make it in September! Best of luck at the premiere, and I can’t wait for a chance to watch it!
Wow this looks really great! With Sudbury Devil film merch be forthcoming?
I'VE NEVER CLICKED ON SOMETHING SO FAST
I am ravenous to see this production in the parish where I do dwell.
Yo this looks rad as hell! Glad I’ll be back east for college in Mass so hopefully I can see it!
This is awesome, congratulations on getting this finished.
Wish I was driving distance from MA… I will definitely be purchasing this movie when it’s available though
Will this be available anywhere to stream??
I can say I finally got around to watching the Sudbury Devil cause i learned it was on Tubi and as an atun shei fan... It was definitely a unique watch. Not bad just had me going "what the hell" and "DEVILRY!" More than a few times.
Greetings from Brazil! Looking forward to watch it!
This production is other level
Can’t wait to see this!! Been excited for months
huge congrats on the project! Will be excited to see it if you decide to come to Denver or when I stream it!
Gotta respect the energy behind, 'Fuck your widescreen, we're doing this shit in 4:3 and you're gonna like it!'
Looks great! will watch it in my country as soon and its up on streaming.
"Be not afraid. Thou art safe now". IIIIIIIII don't trust you sir. Nope.
This looks so damn good. I'm sure the premiere is going to rock. HAIL SATAN!
This would make a good double feature with A Field in England
Your killing me with suspense. When does this drop?
I expected the whole run time fore this trailer that a logo for the company selling edibles, Vance Global, would pop up. This looks so well done I figured it had to have a sponsor attached.
I watched that yesterday, holy shit Erik is so effortlessly hilarious
@@AtunSheiFilms I ran into other videos they sponsored yesterday as well, but of course, none as good as Erik's. I figured everyone was getting that weed bag. Honestly though your trailer looks so well done I though a sponsor did sink a bunch of cash into it. Can't wait to see it.
This looks great really love the camera tricks you use to make up for the budget this is the way of the indie film maker I am really intrigued what the story entails!
Is this the Witchfinder generals origin story (also it’s awesome)❤
oooh man, i got the chills! i wish i could see this in the premier.
I THOUGHT THE FILM CAME OUT TODAY. Wishful thinking, I guess. Never been more excited for a film in my life, if only my friends my age (19) shared the same passion. Will be forcing them to sit through it regardless.
Yes, deliver period-piece horror films directly to my eyeballs!!!
Just by any chance, do you have heard about the BIFFF - Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival ? They are just totally mad about this kind of stuff.
Bummer this sold out so fast. I went to college in Salem, would have been a nice excuse to visit the old stomping ground. Definitely gonna watch the film when it comes to streaming, at least!
Looks like an interesting low budget indie film. Unlike most of the people here who know about the film team or this movie - I do not, so I come without any preconceived notions. But although it looks low budget and indie - it does look like more attention was paid to special practical effects.. interested!
I can’t wait!!! Looking into buying a ticket to the premiere now, this looks incredible.
Can't exactly make it to Massachusetts from Sydney for the premiere but I'll definitely be looking for it on streaming services.
We are screening the film at Pink Flamingo in Sydney on Sept 13 :)
@@happyhowlinvideo Right when I'm moving out of Sydney and up the coast lol.
Ah well, all good, I'll still try and find it on streaming services.
Im speechless, this has me more psyched for the movie than ever
Looks great. I hope it will be available on dvd sometime since we don't do streaming stuff.
This looks very good! Cant wait to see what the future holds for your film making career.
I need this to come to a theater near me right now.
Are you planning on ever releasing the movie online?
A streaming release this autumn is very likely, see the description or pinned comment for info
I find that when done right (0:43) sensual beard fondling ... can add so much to the cinematic experience
"Be not afeared. Thou art safe now" 😰
It looks epic! Cuts are wonderful and music and the whole atmosphere gives me chiils
