one should not have to pay for a so called "cover" when the songs just use the same melody. There is a huge difference being that this is 8-bit and there is also no singing, so in music terms, this is technically completely different but at the same time, perfectly same. But then again, how can somebody claim ownership to music. If I want to make an 8-bit version of a beehthoven song, do I need to ask him first? That would kind of be hard seeing as he is deceased, dont you agree?
