Thanks for the awesome film footage of the plank walk. My girlfriend and I at the time climbed Huashan and walked the plank back in March of 2007. I see they have made upgrades at the end of the walk going into the temple. Back in 07 that was mostly dirt and stone where the cement steps are now. Great view and clear skies I see. When we climbed there was fog at the bottom of the mountain so we couldn't see how far down the mountain was while walking the planks. Brings back great memories of my first time in China. Beijing to Xi'an 12 hour train ride. Would love to visit again one day :):)
Thank you for your comment. Yes, compared to the past, the scenic area has been upgraded to make passengers safer. Previously, you had to take a 12 hour train ride. There are faster high-speed trains or airplanes now. There are more beautiful places in China, and we look forward to your visit. I can introduce you some amazing places If you were interested,. I have been many places in China.😍
Many mountains in China are very beautiful. Huang Shan is the most beautiful I have ever been, and Mount Hua is the most precipitous. Many people fell off the cliff here in the past, but it is not that dangerous right now.because the protection measures have been perfected. hope you can come to China and explore.

There is a lot of work to be done before normal tourists start visiting this beautiful place. A lot of digging in the rocks until a normal path is formed...
It was built by Gao Dao He Zhizhen of the Yuan Dynasty, the first generation master of the Huashan School, who inlaid stone nails and built wooden rafters on the cliff in order to stay away from the world and become an immortal. Changkong Plank Road has a history of more than 700 years
How in the world was all this constructed? The tires and planks and stuff. The one cam I recognize. Nobody talks about how all this was attached into the rocks.

There are cliffs above and below the plank road, with iron cables hanging horizontally. The road is made of stones about a foot long, and the lower part is fixed by stone pillars. When visitors come here, they face the wall and belly, holding their breath while walking. It is known as "the first dangerous place in Huashan Mountain".

I'm watching this full screen on a large monitor. Yikes!
You have to come to Mount Hua to experience it for yourself.
