Had NO idea of that tension screw on the bottom, so while my specific installation was VERY easy and straightforward on my Zenith Z-5RS, it was good to know about the tension screw, as my brace did not come with the allen key to adjust the tension screw. I also greased the endcap on the inside so that it did not scrape the finish while installing the brace endcap.
Yeah, those two screws on the bottom need to be loosened with an allen wrench (think it's a 1mm key), and then the piece will slide on correctly. Don't try to hammer it on with those two screws protruding slightly!
For the standard SP5, do not pound on it with anything. Like the other comments on here, you have to remove the screw at the seven o'clock position. It will then slide right on.
Its a great idea, my only wish is that SB Tactical would make the brace part a little slimmer, aesthetically speaking it looks a little thick for the MP5. Maybe they had to due to ATF requirements?
Just got one for my POF MP5 Reverse Stretch, and it slid on perfectly. Turns out that the G3 Trigger Housing ads density to overall ID for standard Stocks and braces from HK German. You’ll have account for additional thickness for POF
Would be nice since sales of these have skyrocketed since the release of the SP5 if you either A. Let it be known that it doesn't fit or B. Make it fit properly.
Some people say it won't fit the PTR 9 CT. I put on the Folding brace which is okay but even it was a poor alignment with the rear hole. I had to pound that pin in hard and I dread having to try and take it out which will also require a punch and a hammer.
all I had was a large hard rubber mallet to tap with when the coiled spring and rod fell on the floor. With only a flashlight to see where it might go.I place there while holding barrel down and tapping new end plate down. After seeing other videos of that spring and rod attached to something,Im not sure if it was done correct.
I’m trying to put this on my brand new SP5 and it doesn’t fit :( the SP5 was one of the advertised guns for this product and I’m a little upset. SB Tac how do how do I get this to work without taking it to a gunsmith? The holes on the brace don’t quite reach the ones on the gun. They’re short just an eight of an inch.
Same for me. I used a sharpie along the edges of the gun to try so see where I need to clearance the brace block, I am not seeing it yet. I would rather not shave off the sheetmetal of the gun.
I just found the issue. Remove the spring and unhook the trigger. Attach the brace block and look inside with a flashlight. The sheet metal in the back was crushed up against one of the allen head screws. I could not see it until I removed everything and test fit it.
I just got this brace for my sp5. I was super excited to install it myself but I'm having a fitting issue on the receiving part of the sp5. The bottom of the HKPDW is hitting the end of the sp5 lower. Is there something I'm missin?
Yeah, beat a 150 dollar brace onto a $3k gun with a hammer. Get real. The factory end cap slides on and off with minimal issue and you want to blame different tolerances? If I would have seen this before buying I wouldn't have bought one. I'll be returning this product. Form 1 here I come.
Proud owner of these inspired gun my wife bought me the taneotech from *expansion2 on wickr * T2 for Father’s Day and the MK18 upper as well so mad credit for her too..

Fit my Pof like a glove. Super high quality. Don’t forget to loosen or remove the set screws before installing and the re install screws and tighten.

Mine installed perfectly with no problems. AP5 Clone by Century Arms. Followed video instructions, no problem!
Do you know if this brace will fit the AP5-M the pistol versions of the AP5
@@sniffmoneyArmsAndAmmoI can confirm it does not. I just tried, the M model is completely flat so the SB adapter has nothing to slide on to..
@@Martrydom749 ok thanks appreciate the info 👍🏼
@@Martrydom749 appreciate the feedback 👍🏼 I've since got the A3 Tactical brace for my AP5-M love it
Got this and it’s heavier than expected.

Why haven't you made a telescoping brace for the mp5k as well? You should offer this version to its other brothers
Will we eventually get a 30 cal version of this. It would look great on my PTR k3p

Internet Anonymity as I’m pounding on mine with a hammer.
Wow wish I knew this before purchasing. I’m trying force mine in right now and it doesn’t fit
@@NoBoDys1000 you can just remove the buffer, it comes stock without a rubber buffer, so it "should" be fine.
Internet Anonymity I was able to fit it with the buffer. I sanded down the screws at the bottom and it fit
Patiently waiting for a 30 caliber version for the PTR PDW

Are there any plans to make one for the new HK (Umarex) MP5 .22LR pistol?
Did you figure out if it fits
@@Jason6.7. No, we went in a different direction. Got a side folder instead.

@@nicgeorge07 what did you do to resolve it after you found out what to do?
@@dannyboy2532 I removed that screw, so now 3 hold the spring lock onto the brace.
I had to dremel out a bit of the plastic inside the brace and also remove the bottom left screw (when looking at it from the front).
love how you just skipped the end plate removal, aids.
It's not that hard. You remove the push pin and pull the endcap off
if you don’t know how to disassemble the gun should you really own it?
When will the PDW brace for HK MP5 and clones be back in stock?
Big country sporting goods has it for 263

Will this install on Century Arms AP5 Pistol MKE Turkey?

Does it scratch it at all?
I was just wondering if the guide rails scratch the frame of the SP5?
@@BiggumsMcHoney Ah thanks man!
Very nice brace but it’s really heavy
Will if fit the 22 hk mp5?
Will this fit on a 22 caliber HK 22?
Would be so nice aesthetically if this was a little bit less “beefy”…unless by law it was required to be?
Does this fit the HK SP5K?
No, the end cap for the SP5K is different it has two pins instead of one. It won't fit.
Fits easily on POF-5 as these are ACTUAL MP5s coming off same HK tooling line as full auto military issued versions.
Love mine, on my sp5
Does it scratch it at all? Or is the fit correct?
@CannonCountry it's tighter the the hk oem, I had to tap it in with punch , no biggy
Will fit on the 22 calibur
This will not fit the PTR 9KT :(
Didn’t fit umarex 22lr
Man this hurt my gun so bad. The two tension screws on the bottom need to be showcased in this video. Pissed
The product in this video, doesn’t appear to have those screws
All that hammering is unnecessary. Just wiggle it out.
Can one of these attach to a Century Arms Draco?
