Neat! The only train shed I have been in is the one at Six Flags Over GA. When I worked there (not at the shed) they still ran live steam. It was a lot of maintenance.
3:43 This green device seems to resemble a bandsaw, which has a rounded edge (the wheel) to secure the blade (the grey part). Or it could be a drill press, with the grey piece being the drill. However, drill presses typically have a lever to lower the drill, not a wheel.
I built this set from scratch thanks to Bricklink but I decided to use Dark/Light bluish gray pieces instead. Which ended up costing a little more than I wanted to spend but still saved about 100 from what it retails for now. Those 2 black sides doors are so damn expensive 😑😒
I am building one from parts, should be together soon. I am using the modern doors so will be 2 bricks taller than the original, so should fit the newer trains.
Was this set a lot of money? I can only find it on Bricklink for about $250.00 or eBay for $1000.00 and I don't won't to pay $1000.00 for it ,so is the Bricklink the way to go or can I find it cheaper?
Darn, I couldn't afford to get this with my EN. Perhaps in the future. I really want to make a double one but that costs $400-$500 which costs as much as a Sealed Limited Edition #2500 Santa Fe on bricklink or a metroliner with 9v electronics and club car.

Bricktsar, little favor even though I know it's an old video, can an Emerald night fit in the train shed? I might part this together but seeing the red cargo train not fit is a shocker for the emerald night.
Whoops! You already answered it below. Thanks anyways, I wanted to know to somewhat reference the recent £4.2 million refurbish of an emerald night in the UK and how the train spent long days in a shed being fixed.
And since it's an old video, I might as well do a little bit of picking at it, lol. The drill is called a drill press and the piece with the 2L chrome pin extension is a chisel tool to give many objects that nice and clean cuts in wood such as bed frame corner posts and such. What this is really missing is bottom access under the rail which could be easily (not easily) MOC'ed into it but a train shed is a train shed. Still, thinking if I should accommodate this to hold my overhauled EN or wait a bit to see what the next train building is ( ;( they discontinued 60050 train station).
love your videos Question what got you in to doing Thomas reviews I wish more people would do reviews like you and be nice Like other people on you tube You are great when it comes to Respond I got the Thomas and Annie and Clarabel set
Thank you. I had Thomas items in my Bricklink store that had not sold so I decided to review them. The videos did so well despite being pretty bad so I ended up doing more. To this day Thomas continues to be my most popular stuff
This is a great set, but you look at it and there's actually not that much to it. Looks great though! Wonder if it was inspired by the workshop at the end of the 7777 Ideas book? Bit of a fail on the height though! Oh, and #trainmonth 😀
I just bought one of these at a auction thinking it was new but it was opened. There was no instructions but I can find them online. My question is do you remember how many bags of bricks were in the box? I just wanted to have a idea if I was missing any before I started building.
+sgrandmasterj sorry I don't remember. Resellers can be sneaky. I would start by looking in the bags for minifigures or less common elements. I don't think they numbered bags then but I cannot remember
I've always wanted one of these but I don't have a couple hundred bucks to buy one used. It's a shame. :( I wish they made a new one that's designed like this. Oh, and question: Does the Emerald Night fit in this?
@@BrickTsar Hey, guess what! After 7 years I finally managed to get my hands on one of these, but my Emerald Night does NOT fit at all! It's too wide. And the christmas train from 2016 doesn't fit either, since it's too tall.
from the Trains World City line up, that is the only set I don't have! Box condition is perfect as well, incredible.
this is an awesome set, also I've been inside an actually train shed and it is almost identical to this set except the color.
Neat! The only train shed I have been in is the one at Six Flags Over GA. When I worked there (not at the shed) they still ran live steam. It was a lot of maintenance.
This one is Awesome. One of my favorite sets
Just got this on BrickLink. An elegant train shed!
I wish I had this. It's an awesome single engine train storage place.
This is the best LEGO train accessory set ever
Just discovered this set, so many useful parts
I just got a train shed on craigslist today with a large lot of my own train cars and engines, cant wait to rebuild it all
Nice find!

This is a beautiful set I think. Two of these side by side and one red brick higher would be awesome.
Great review.

That’s a really nice Lego train set
A set that makes you feel like you have a second home.
True
Love this set. Bought one second hand and have one still mint sealed.
4:40 Yes, it's a vice clamp. A vice grip is the handheld version of the same tool.
I wish all the big sets, Especially the train sets had boxes like this one.
I like this set.
You like ever set :3

Little BrickTsar is so cute
I am building one from parts, should be together soon. I am using the modern doors so will be 2 bricks taller than the original, so should fit the newer trains.
***** That's better. The clearance is definitely a little too low on this
I used for the lathe and the drill press in woodshop at my school
This is an awesome set
little baby BrickTsar is adorable XD
You watched till the end :) Thanks!
Always :)
That's a awesome set
3:14 Did you buy this set from Europe? Typically, European boxes of LEGO sets do not have the set name on them.
I'm thinking of possibly hunting down the pieces to build one, I don't feel like paying over $200 for a engine shed!
Would the red cargo engine fit if you flipped it around?
I think that green-red-white can is for diesel locomotives.
Was this set a lot of money? I can only find it on Bricklink for about $250.00 or eBay for $1000.00 and I don't won't to pay $1000.00 for it ,so is the Bricklink the way to go or can I find it cheaper?

I have one of this
It's really cool!!

No I haven't - don't ever see it in my area. If I come across it at a good deal we might
Their on Bachman so web Site The are Good engines to Have
You should've shown the outside when the set is open.

Thanks for the info.
the green thing is a drill press

I grew up with the classic Thomas Series Model railway series I still watch Thomas And buy merchandise till this day

BrickTsar ok. Thank you for your response.
sgrandmasterj, check Nickname2002's build since they like to show the bags.
Endothermic Madness thanks for the tip!
sgrandmasterj, no problem, just helping a fellow train fan out!
I've always wanted one of these but I don't have a couple hundred bucks to buy one used. It's a shame. :(
I wish they made a new one that's designed like this.
Oh, and question: Does the Emerald Night fit in this?
ShyGuyXXL Yes it does fit. I had one of the power functions cargo trains that the top would hit. But the Emerald Night works
@@BrickTsar Hey, guess what! After 7 years I finally managed to get my hands on one of these, but my Emerald Night does NOT fit at all! It's too wide. And the christmas train from 2016 doesn't fit either, since it's too tall.
I think BrickTsar should be doing the review since he BUILT IT! - lol :D
You should have backed in the red engine.
That would have been either funny or disasterous
lol
Too bad this thing is as expensive as an actual train!
This one’s so expensive nowadays
