- I’m on the Vatia Peninsula on the northern coast of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. Now, climbing a small mountain to visit the grave of a Fijian warrior may be a little strenuous and tiring. But to be linked with a moment in time with ancient Fijian history and to gasp in wonder at the incredible view makes the whole thing worthwhile. The warrior was buried up there as a last wish. His people obliged. Why? Why so high up? It is a mystery from ground level. But, from up top, everything makes perfect sense.

In Africa, in this Taqanaika region , dwelt for a long time warrior group of people called the "Viti " people Africa king them very well
The flowers tree seen in the image below is common to both Tanganyika and fiji. IN Fiji it is called the fijian tulips and found all over Viti Levu

Can you visit Kadavu please, lots of stories... My dad tells tales of our war with Matuku and the banishing of those people to become the first Chiefs of Tonga... People from Kadavu who became the Sailors and Warriors (with people from Beqa) for Cakobau's Waqa's at Bau's height of power... and other historical stories.

Bula Robbie. It’s Vatia Peninsula near Vatia Point between Ba and Tavua. As soon as you reach Vatia Wharf you continue (effectively turning right) for 10 minutes until you get to the spot. You can’t miss it. I’ll be doing another vlog in the area in 2 weeks covering the ancient hill forts of Vatuvatuva. These are some of the most important hill forts in the Pacific.

Vist East Africa Tanzania ( Tanganyika& Zanzibar) you will understand how Polynesian
lauguage have alot of Swahili language in it .
Eg : Swahili word
Bure = mean Free in Swahili
Sigatoka= (sijatoka ) Swahili means I have not come out
Mlimawatu = peoples mountain
Tabua = similar to Tambua in Swahili means Recognize
Tabua = means in Swahili expand
Etc
I believe the Eastern Africa slave Trade( have the connection with the Polynesian .since , Arabs, Indians ,whites, Chinese all participated on the slavery trade on the Zanzibar port of the Indian ocean you can still visit the roots until today in or you can search online
