Nice job getting the dozer out, never stuck until you give up. That little low spot quickly turned into quagmire, it was just like add dozer and stir, instant muck. Project is taking shape nicely, thanks for the ride along sir
I once berried my 4 Wheel Drive 1962 Scout so deep on a logging road in the mountains that I couldn't even open the doors. In the PNW, on the coast, back in the 70's we got close to 100 inches of rain a year. The ground never really dried out, only got a crust on it. Hit that spot at about 20 mph, broke through the crust and sunk, never stopped so fast in my life. Took a D4 to get it out. You just never know with mud. Sorry for the trip down memory lane, but watching you fighting that stuck dozer brought back that memory. Good memories though. Thanks for sharing.
I was running up A,creek in a 4wd Chevy pickup. Limestone bottom.,,, boom, run off limestone...,,quick sand about 3.5 feet deep.had to drag it out with a big 4wd John Deere tracter.
Man I watch all your videos, you have talent how the hell do you spread that stuff like that you make it look so easy , I tried leveling my front yard , took me two weeks
Hi Chris your Canadian subscriber Kevin hope this makes you chuckle my dad (My Angel above) always said if you had a perfect day you did not get much done but if you got stuck you got allot done , I just wanted to share that with you my friend also sending a prayer of good health, love, happiness, may God bless you and be with you always
My 5TH Great Grandfather, Mathias Slaymaker, built corduroy roads across some of his property in the early 1700's in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They charged a toll to use the roads they had to build. For many, it was the only way to get anywhere.
“STUCK” is NOT in Chris’s vocabulary! After watching him get that one excavator out that was buried to the cab that he rescued there is nothing he can’t get out!
Wowza. All I can say, Chris, is I am in awe of your talents, skills, and abilities. I was amused at the beginning using the Skid Steer to get John's truck unstuck but you working alone to get yourself extricated: that was fabulous. You are the best, by far sir. Thanks for sharing this. It was fun to watch (I imagine not fun to have it happen - I've been stuck before).
Oh I was hoping Chris was going to give John a quick call I`m stuck and need a hand.....Then john turns up laughing.....But Chris being Chris gets the job done....great video......Stay Safe LD18......Happy Holidays all
My father was in the Operating Engineers Union for over 50 years. He always said that a dozer without a winch is scrap iron. That was a deep hole. It might need a culvert. It might be a good place to build a pond.
I have seen many operators get stuck that was so brain-dead the only thing they do was set there and calling for help instead doing such a simple thing like you have done like all the rescued stuff It just shows how much better you are then the other 99% your in a class of your own ! Great job again !
@Chris Boy when you had the 250 bucket up against the blade of the Komatsu it really made me appreciate how big a machine the 250 really is. It kinda made the Komatsu look like a Tonka toy. As usual you made light work of getting it unstuck and carrying on the job.
Chris it’s nice to know that sometimes everyone will get stuck once in awhile. Glad to see that you got out quickly. Great work that you accomplish with your equipment.
It wasn't bad stuck. It just slimed the tracks and made slicks out of them. I had faith you would prevail over a little mud. Another great video enjoy them all.
It’s been wet for sure! Love the videos Chris! We have a lot on common when it comes to operating skills. I own a small grading business and do a lot of the same jobs y’all do. Good, honest living and would not change it for nothing. Keep up the videos my friend, we all enjoy them
Sure would be nice to have a winch on that dozer. Mine has got me out of some bog holes many a time. Plus, they are so useful for other things as well.
Haha! I was thinking the same thing but the Chris first starts to “Row” the Dozer out and then uses the Excavator as a pivot point to push on, evidently his experience and knowledge makes him think completely different from us “normal” folk!
@@spewp The correct term is "frugal". He's willing to spend money, but only when and where he HAS to. Unlike another Perfect channel I won't mention who seems to love every new toy to come down the pike. LOL
As a former boss told me: "If it is still not moving after 15 seconds, get your ass off the gas and radio for a pull." Granted, it was a D10 he was complaining about...
My dad told me that if it was slowing down and not powering out, best to lift the equipment and get out of there. If it stops going forward, just get a pull before you make a mess. It worked well for the most part. Quite often running a breaking disc, I’d pull the pin and crank the tractor off to the side out of the hole, then tug the disc out with a big chain. If you bury the biggest set of wheels, it only gets worse from there.
Good advice! Even with a truck, you can tell pretty much right away if aren't gonna make it out. But plenty of guys think 10 min of spinning tires and throwing mud everywhere is eventually gonna get them out.
Woooeeee !! The bottom fell right on out of the creek there , didn't it !! lololol... Man it was just barely stuck in there, just needed a little nudge to get her on out...lolol...
