I was in Chattanooga a few months back and found a Dickel 15 store pick that I regrettably didn't have room for in my suitcase. I am going back soon and crossing my fingers there will still be some bottles remaining. I'm a big fan of the 100+ proof Dickel 15. Really want to try a pick.
Damn, I've never tried a Dickel 15. I've tried two of the 11-13 year BiBs. One was good, one was meh (at best). I gotta keep an eye out for a good store pick of that 15. I'm not ashamed to say that I bought a case of the 8-year Dickel bourbon about 1.5 years ago. TW had it on sale for $22. Bought one, took it to the car, poured a sip (my wife always has an emergency glencairn in her purse for me), and realized I found myself a really good batch. Truly drinks like a delicious, balanced, 90-proof bourbon. So I went back in and bought a case. Zero regrets. Still go back to it when I went something light and relaxing. Cheers.
The 15yr is really good stuff I’ll keep my eyes peeled next month I’ll be in NM and they usually have them. And haha the emergency glen in the purse had me laughing. Hey it was a good bottle I had a bottle when it came out. It is a good low proof sipper for sure
Thank you for the great review! The Dickel 15-year Single Barrel is one of my favorite desert desert whisky's. And I have been blessed to get the 104.6 proof offering at the same price I see elsewhere for the lower proof offerings (around 80 to 100 proof). Some may call it the "poor man's 15-year". But I just called great Tennessee whisky!
Wow that’s the highest proof I’ve heard of congrats on that find I bet that’s a hell of a good one. I often find people who have and don’t like the 15yr also had like an 80’proof in my opinion you gotta get a 100 or above proof point
James I’m heading to NM for work next month I’ll get a Dickel 15 for you they seem to have a lot there and I’ve seen it over 100 proof I’ll see what’s floating around
I got a Dickel 15 here in my market that is actually 20 years old 50.6% for $63.99. I don’t know why people sleep on the Dickel 15 they are fantastic value!
Absolutely they are a killer value. That’s a great one that you have older and at that right proof point. If they have more of those let me know mine is getting low haha
Great review BB. I was skeptical of the Jury 15, because I cannot stand Dickel 13 Year BIB. The Ex-Madeira Cask must cover the Dickel notes, because I really like it. I paid $96 for it. 🤣🥃

Just found and bought the Jury for 119 today. I picked it up only because I already have the Judge. I figured it would pair well. The Judge is 14yr old, bought it for 89.99. I like that price point better. I feel the one extra year should have been 10 more at 100.
@@bourbonbill I don't get any heavy flavors. I would describe it as very muted. There is some flavor, but I would expect a 15yr old, finished whiskey to have deep rich flavors.

I haven’t heard of the High and Wicked until now and I can’t find a higher proof Dickel. Still a great review and I’ll keep watching for these

Haha well great pickup Dave finally found a Dickel you like! And that’s a great price well below MSRP that might bump my grade to an A+ at that price
