Was honored to do a show with Rev 3 years in a row just his band and mine in New Braunfels, TX 2015 -2017 Texas T and the Shine Runners. That was a highlight of my life. Rev is an inspiration. 🙏 Cheers
Probably the best 26:53 minutes in the history of KLOS. And I've been suffering through their (AOR) dinosaur rock for well over 40 years. Now if Billy Zoom does a session, the world will be right.
Never been much for the whole big city FM radio DJ cartoon persona thing... thank you KLOS, and an even bigger THANK YOU to Steve Jones for writing the book on what "getting it" sounds, looks, smells, and tastes like. #godsavegreatmusic 🙏🎸🎙🎶
Rev, I think you busted into the Peter Gunn theme to make it tougher! You are tuff, yer band is tuff and we all love your clever songs! Keep it up as we need your music! lol
Love the Rev, but I gotta see him live someday. I had tix to see him around 2000 or 1999 with Hank III and Amazing Crowns, but got really messed up that day and had to leave before the headliner (the Rev). Then he was opening for Jonesy and the Pistols (circa '04), but I didn't get there in time to see the openers (Dropkick Murphies was the other one).
Jim Heath is amazing been a huge fan since the 1995 martini time saw him on that tour the roar tour and bought every album....the sound took me somewhere and had an atmosphere the band is spectacular!seen him a few times since ...they should be a lot bigger i understand they are rockabilly but they are the finest musicians in that genre besides stray cats or Brian setzer
Awesome Evil Knievel flying V, and to play sitting, playing Hideaway! My stage name once upon a time was Reverend Johnny Leisure, I was introduced to him like that at the Unicorn in Milwaukee early 90s. I think he was honored other people were cop'in his trip. Better than M.C. this or that. He is the real Reverend, real deal original. Super nice guy, Rocks on a whole 'nother level then most can begin to comprehend. For English Psychobilly check out Demented Are Go..."Who Put Grandma Under the Stairs."
That's the stuff I like right there, early rnr and blues, to me it's all the same best music in the world, no wonder the Brits tried to steal it from us
Jonesy’s a lousy host. The Reverend is a living guitar genius, so go see them to witness the gospel. they’ll be playing a city near you soon...no matter where you are.

Great live band, always see them when they come thru
17:50 - He's talking about the Ambassador Hotel. It was on Wilshire Blvd in midtown LA. No longer exists.
I have really grown to love this show...
Cheers 'em Rev. you got our kid back on the flying V. electric You old teddy boys! Love it

I wrote a song with him once, but we never finished it. I'd love to hear it. So would I !
The Roy Orbison tribute Jonesy mentioned was called "Black and White Night."
my two favorite live acts ever #1 The Reverend Horton Heat #2 Anthrax
😂
Wow! Those two together. To have been in that room would’ve been an honor.
man , this is great watching two of my favorite musicians just shooting the shit and jammin , love it
Love the Rev. Jonesy is great, too.
Lov the Rev. Great Show!!!!
Didnt think jonesey was going to come up with anything at the start of that jam hahaha then he let rip hahaha
Funny, I remember Russel Hobbs from his Dallas clubs. He had two or three bars I used to go to in the early to mid eighties in the Deep Ellum area.

Yoo Only the Lonely and Mystery Train are primo! yall should record that shit!
Glad to hear Steve played 'Transfusion'.
I think Jim would be great for a talk show host, talk about music and whatever.

The rev used to play in Philly in the early 90s a lot. There was a big rockabilly contingency there
He still is, I saw him this past Friday the 14th. Played with the Blasters and Junior Brown. It was fantastic!!!
Mystery train - Real good stuff ! The Rev's great n Steves story ' bout Roy is just fantastic !
That's the stuff I like right there, early rnr and blues, to me it's all the same best music in the world, no wonder the Brits tried to steal it from us

can you share the name of the new album please
Whole New Life
Release date: November 30, 2018
Reverend Horton Heat is clearly the more well rounded guitarist here.
Yes, to say the least. Those songs may be simple for him to play, but it's obvious not everybody is able to swing or jam to a shuffle tempo.
maybe, but Jonesy is a punk icon and the best rock n roll guitarist from England for my money.
@@lancashirebomber9744 Pfffff!
no ears eh?
@@lancashirebomber9744 I think Jonesy's great, but the greatest rnr guitarist to come out of the UK? No

Did Steve Jones eat Jeremy Clarkson?
Cool stuff
I don't think Jonesy likes this guy. He was a bit rude to him. Jonesy, are you feeling okay, you big old grumpy bastard?
Chris Nagy jonesey's been away hasnt he? He's prob grumpy being back at work haha
I'd say he's a grumpy short tempered man but I love his show.
i agree. he’s a lousy host...asking questions & not listening...dicking around with a stupid overly-overdriven guitar. what a fat bastard.
He was ?at what point?
You wanna say your shows because I’m tired of saying them 😂
..could jam wiv steve all day 👍😎
Yup was good
Top guy 😎
LOVE
