Beautiful video,! Well thought out, perfect lighting, well edited. Not even 1000 views after 10 hours with 547k subscribers. UA-cam is broken. I can't even recoup the cost of my ingredients with my videos anymore and certainly not my time. Sigh.
Thankyou! You are a darling of youtube. UA-cam is not part of my business model anymore which is why I dont upload anymore. The algorithm knows this and doesnt push my content out. I also moved away from over the top desserts to more everyday baking and the majority of my existing audience didn't like that change which is why my views are low. They didn't sign up for this new style of content. I made a shift to focusing on my website about 3 years ago when I realised how horrific social media is for making a living. I realised how bad this platform is for creators about 6 years ago. UA-cam is something I watch every single day. But I'm not really an active creator on the platform because it's not really built for people like me. It wants food creators who have a huge team, money to travel and create elaborate food content that isn't at all like what I make. Each to their own. The platform knows how it wants to make money and it isn't from videos like mine lol. Maybe one day I'll come back but it will most likely be on a new channel.
Nick!! You’ve been one of my favourite creators for years. You do these more everyday desserts content so beautifully (really enjoyed this vid) … but omg I hear you. I’ve gone back to working on my blog too, though I neglected it for so long. You’re so talented in the food space and I just wanted to let you know how appreciated you are!!! I only started doing UA-cam more “seriously” in the past year by my son’s encouragement… damn it’s hard to grow on here but I’m having fun thusfar with NO expectations 😂… Hope you and the family are well!!
