    This was before Marc's motorcycle accident and he was so perfect. So razor sharp and in touch with himself. He still is and it's so wonderful he's still here and alive and well. His blonde hair here is my favorite look of his.

    only 16 years ago and he looks so well, opened faced and fresh, thought he was never going to get old at one point. Maybe that motorbike crash knocked the stuffin out of him.

      Apparently, half of his face had to be completely reconstructed.

      Nobody looks good forever.. when you get to a certain age that shallow veneer means fuck all to you, thankfully. But he really looked his best I think through the 90s and here with the bleached hair he was so cute..

    Marc is a great guy. I feel so bad for Marc about his motorcycle crash on 2004.

      @Shaddow72856 I don’t think so either, the attention for him is overwhelming and if you reed his book, ‘ Tainted Life’ you’ll understand .

    Lovely interview with a lovely man. The beauty of our 80s artists is iconic: inspiring us to unleash our own creativity. But not the type of crass, what I've called, AI creativity that's around today. Their creativity was born out of a logical structure: spilling out from four sides. Still much to learn from them. Thank you, Marc. Also, can anyone tell me the name of that book on her coffee table? The cover looks interesting. Cheers.

    If Marc ever wanted to get into politics I'd vote for him. A Prime Minister who can sing as well?...Why not?

    He’s been rehashing the same music schtick since the 80s .. it’s very stale at this point ..

    • @lovelywinterdayday5748
      @lovelywinterdayday5748 4 роки тому +5

      He's literally one of the only artists from the 80s that's still making music instead of holding on to the past! He clearly embraces change with age and even talks about it constantly.

    • @nathanfarias1051
      @nathanfarias1051 4 роки тому

      Lovelywinterday Day are you kidding .: lyrically he just rehashes sane themes over and over . Nothing new at all

    • @lovelywinterdayday5748

      @@nathanfarias1051 So does every artist! Even writers write books about the same theme or genre, actors play similar roles in the same genre, and visual artists draw/paint the same topic. Ernest Hemingway wrote about the same thing and he's hailed as an iconic writer, as is Edgar Allen Poe (horror story with an unreliable narrator), Shakespeare (tragic hero or love story), F.Scott Fitzgerald (American story with rich white people), John Steinbeck (depression era America set in the midwest), Monet (flowers), Michelangelo (Christianity), etc. Artists find and occupy a niche, they may occasionally explore different niches or genres or sub-genres, but they always make one niche their main image. Art tends to be a cocktail - you take inspiration from others and make your own stuff to make a blend. Everything you make will be a blend of different (but similar) stuff and sometimes certain pieces may be re-used or overlap. Writing about the same theme doesn't make someone repetitive, it's literally what every artist does!

      Lovelywinterday Day he caterwauls the same misfit underdog stuff that sells to his fandom 30 years of it .. he had a few brilliant moments when there was a new dynamic energy with soft cell and when he collabs ie tenement symphony except for Pearly spencer and ‘’enchanted ‘and the newer “winter sun” is special .. but the rest is very stale .. he has called himself a curator rather than singer in many interviews.. and that’s right he carefully selects and maintains the same style over and over anda it’s stale .. he works best when others are involved to pull him out of cliche camp pastiche cabaret misfit outsider schtick ..

    • @nathanfarias1051

      Lovelywinterday Day I also liked soul on soul with Corey fersten .. again someone drew him out of his schtick
