The lead singer, "Monsieur Kamayatsu" as he is called, is not in this photo because he was late for the photo session being perpetually unpunctual. A truly musical fellow with a lot of song-writing talent. Though his cousin Ryoko Moriyama (their fathers were brothers who were both jazz musicians) , a very popular folk queen, makes more public appearances, he is still rocking, heading for 78 this month. I love him.
The SPIDERS were the greatest classic rock-Japanese band of all time!! Sakai was the Mick Jagger of Japan!! Monsier Kamayatsu was the greatest composer/arranger for the SPIDERS and of all time in Japan!!
I remember Kamayatsu was interviewed by FEN around 1966 and was surprised how good his english was. Later I found out that his father didn't speak Japanese that well.
the singer Monsieur Kamayatsu (R.I.P.) is a son of American his singing & talking English is better better than us but here some people write his singing pronunciation sounds are bad (L & R!!) it make us Japanese don't wanna speak english
This is the internet. People can be insulting without giving up their anonymity. I agree that Kamayatsu's English might not be perfect, I've definitely heard other Japanese people speak English better, but his English is more than just alright. If you want to learn English, don't do it for other people, do it for your own good. People told me to stop making music or stop singing because it was bad and I still went on and did it and I got better at it. Don't let yourself down, just because others do!
Don't worry my Japanese pronunciation is terrible, his pronunciation is pretty damn good even my Japanese girlfriend didn't think it was a Japanese band
This song 🎵 is wild and insane because these guys definitely know how to Rock. Justice was done to this Bo Diddley cover their music 🎼 is similar to the Animals. These guys do have the Garage Rock Sound because they’re definitely 60’s.
You're quite wrong Sri Kumar. Although not a native speaker, the singer, Kamayatsu Hiroshi, had a very good command of English language; much better than the way you "talk." Many years ago I heard him being interviewed by the FEN, the US Military radio station in Japan, and was surprised by his English ability. His father was born in the US and hardly spoke any Japanese so the father-son conversaion was mainly in English according to Hiroshi. Well Sri Kumar, go bury your head in the sand.
Kuhn ? ha, this idiot is gypsy from India or somewhere around there? See...Unlike their home countries which were completely occupied by the UK, US or other westerns, and therefore they HAD TO speak English than mother tongue, Japan was never completely occupied by others. Language was the most important part of the renitency and pride of Japan and apparently these are stronger than those of idiots home countries.

Classic Japanese rock band from the 60's! Saw them on T.V.: TBS, NHK! Great band!

Fabulous band and superb production!
Boom Boom Boom covers via Japan super exciting wow
Goes to show how influential the music genre was. Even in the 60's.

Fun trivia: one of the members, Katsuo Ohno, would go on composing all of Detective Conan's soundtracks.
Great 🤩
awesome!

A Japanese band covering John Lee Hooker, this is interesting.
Why can't they use music like this when it comes to things like Japanese music arcade games ?
Idols

Does anyone have an old original album I can get for Tib’s nephew out here in California?
I'm the 800th like!
i had no idea this song was Japanese. I've heard it so many times. But is this really garage punk?
This song wasn't originally Japanese. The popular version was by The Animals, in English. This is a Japanese cover version.
Paul Crews It's a John Lee Hooker song.
"I rike the way you talk, i rike the way you walk" now that's game

“I rike the way you walk.”
Ah..... Boom boom i think it original wolfenstein music so it from japan

"I like the way you Wok"

These bad teachers of yours didn't have any bilingual ability whilst Japanese tried to learn English.

Too much "The Animals".
