    Thanks for the video!! Mine is coming today!!! I only want it for removing stickers for the most part or when packing up boxes instead of dragging out corded ones.

    When it comes to heat production, an 18 volt battery is very limited in how much heat it can generate.
    Typical heat guns are around 1500 watts. How much could you realistically get from an 18 volt battery? Let's say you draw 20 amps from a battery which would give you about 6 minutes if run time in a 2 AH battery. That would only be 360 watts of heat or about 1/4 of a standard heat gun. With that in mind, I would have rather seen Ryobi make a mini heat gun that concentrates that heat in a smaller area and can do things a standard heat gun can't do without heating up large areas.

    Definitely want to get this. Most of the time at work but don’t have a way to plug in a heat gun. This would be nice to have.

    Not happy with this heat gun only last for 5 minute before full battery is gone they only good for sticker and small things like that not worth the money

  • @randymurray934
    @randymurray934 5 років тому

    Battery operated tools are not really good for generating heat, they just require to much amperage and power. This is why you don't really see things like battery operated toasters and kettles.

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  5 років тому +1

      true, that's why we didn't see things like cordless table saws, miter saws, and even sds max rotary hammers but with the latest battery tech and larger capacities, it's making all of this possible today
