What an amazing guy to come back from what happened to him, to be playing back in the premier League and fair play to tubes as he's been through something similar and I guess he can relate to Eriksen
As someone who has also had a cardiac issue at a young age really felt nice hearing people talk about it. Never thought such a short conversation on Soccer AM could put me in such a positive mood, thank you!
What could have been a conversation about a world famous footballer needing CPR and almost dying turned into a conversation about a Soccer AM background member of staff who had a heart attack
The beauty of watching Eriksen play for Brentford is they just let him do whatever he wanted on the pitch and he was reminding everyone just how special he is,
@@ToTheNines87368 Brentfords first season is just about survival. Depending who arrives this summer will affect how Frank decides to play next season, but I'm guessing it will be more front foot and less pragmatic. In a dream world where Brennan Johnson and Aaron Hickey sign, Eriksen will get more opportunities on goal.
Few years ago, there’s a really good video on Robbie Knox’s UA-cam channel where he goes into detail about it. Glad to see Tubes looking well and enjoying life and Eriksen back playing at the highest level!
I had open heart surgery as a 1 year old, so was lucky enough to not remember any of it. I can’t begin to imagine how scary it must be to go through what Eriksen & Tubes did as an adult. Thankfully, we live in a time where your chances of surviving such moments are much higher. Credit to those out there working their arses off everyday to save lives. Legends 🧡
Was worried he wasn’t going to be able to get back to his best after such a horrible moment forced him to stop playing. But he’s come back and absolutely smashed it. Class act and a great player to watch ❤️
I signed him back from Brentford to Spurs in my FM22 save. He scored a banger long shot in the Champions League final against PSG, and helped us lift the big cup. Absolutely a fantastic footballer
Won world player of the year twice in a row when i got him on a free for Dormund when he left Brentford Only thing that stopped him getting it three in a row was an unfortunate 4 month injury
Having watched the near tragedy on the pitch and then seeing this fantastic guy make a stunning comeback for Brentford, it's been a pleasure to see him play with such passion.
Great news story. It was one of the most distressing things I’ve ever seen. Wonderful that you’re back playing football. Best wishes from a Celtic fan. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Eriksen is a brilliant player. I ve never felt the way i did watching those scenes that day. Incredible comeback. The best in any sport ever. Bring him to Chelsea
absolutele inspiration I'm buzzing he's back healthy and play football at a very high level again I hope the toon sign him he would be great signing for us
almost a year to the day it happened, i feared the worst for him. so glad he is back and making a full recovery, playing again and enjoying it. I wasnt aware of Tubes having a heart attack, again glad he has made a recovery and looking healthy. All these things we take for granted and suddenly your life is in jeopardy, life can be precious
the danish team and staff aswell as the medical people all played their part to thehighest degree much respect and to erikson for not givng up hope on his footballing dream
Glad your back playing man. In 2019 when he was in spurs and got to that CL final, he was one of the biggest midfielders in the world. Sucks how it went downhill for him.
What winning an Italian title, playing for his country and returning to premier league football at a high standard after a cardiac arrest sounds pretty good to me?
He's still just as good imo. Seeing him at Brentford you're aware he's often the best player on the pitch for either side. Seemed like every game you knew he would be behind at least 1 goal.
Can we just stop and appreciate Tubes how are all these UA-camrs on mainstream these days but he is so sincere and just a proper guy could watch him on anything
I actually complained to offcom for the handling of the situation by the BBC. For trying to shove cameras in his face while he was essentially breathing his last breath , and being given life saving treatment. Absolutely frightening moment, as a Spurs fan it was surreal and still had the memory of Fabrice Muamba in the memory. Could not be happier that he is still playing and has a smile on his face
This is a proper good interview. I’ve seen plenty others and you can tell there’s somewhat of a disconnect between Christian and the interviewer. Not on this one, excellent job Tubes.
Didn’t realize Tubes had a heart attack, dang. I’m not a Bees fan however I did by an away jersey with his name on the back. It’s like Bob Harper - he had a widow maker & every so often I do a spin class he’s in & he’s on fire 🔥 I was watching that game on ESPN and the camera zoomed on to his face - thought he was gone. Very scary.
@@yitzhakgoldberg5126 'cause English sound doesn't match with spelling at times and people just think the most common spelling and people forgot he is Swedish...lol.
Think this shows how easy it is to think that what Tubes and Christian had are the same when in fact a heart attack is quite different to cardiac arrest. Glad to see him doing well though
I always thought the issue playing again would be the regulations because fifa say they're quite strict and in the many documents one of them says no football after heart attack or family history of sca. I loved this interview so much. Tubes' humility, speaking to him on a personal level, just two guys having a conversation. Really great interview 😍🔥
Crazy to see he’s back playing again. Great player! Didn’t know tubes had a heart attack too. When was that?
