In the new update you can unlink and copy items and junk, so you don't need to hide the trapdoors, you can use them to spawn tons of junk, copy the junk and then erase the trapdoor

i use different heights of brick walls together as stairs, takes up a lot less room and you can make different shapes/curve

with the latest update you can have the game remember your last colour/style choice which is super nifty when making stuff like stairs. great vids btw
