Props for the new setup. For the big open room. You still retain intimity with good camera angle closeups. And surprisingly clean no echo audio.
How the guest feel about that big open space? Doesnt it feel weird for such an intimite conversation to sit in middle of big space.
Also the tablet kind of putting the block between you and guest. Maybe it feels different in person but from this point of view it seems little off putting.
Please dont look at this as trying to be harsh or dissing your work. Quite opposite. Im saying it from the place that I love what you do and just giving my honest opinion.
He is more, than a Bodybuilder. He is Daddy. 😄
@@AtilakusGreat comment. Legitimately what comments should be. I agree with the tablet to be honest, it does seem like a bit of a wall or block. Putting it just to the side to check notes or questions would probably make a massive difference to not have anything in between them and the guest.
Personally though, I like the big room a lot, I think it’s very inspiring and can help encourage great thought.

Which Chris
I sorta love that Chris and Chris had the courage to couch this "health" discussion within the framework of the decidedly risky things that are integral to bodybuilding at this level. Because let's face it, despite looking like pictures of health, bodybuilders at this level are doing a fair number of internally unhealthy things (e.g. risky things in terms of long term health effects) to achieve an external aesthetic goal. The dedication is impressive....as are the results....but it serves no-one to pretend it's not a high risk game they play.
Well put!
Very well said. Props to Cbum as well for holistic and authentic information.

It’s great that there’s more open discussion these days about steroid use. It’s what’s needed. People just need to make sure they’re paying attention to the right voices
Too bad that most of the people "openly discussing" are clueless naysayers and just repeating what each other is saying in the anti steroid narrative!

its so hard to believe how young Cbum is, such a mature and inspirational man.
Listen up, Chris said it. There's a life after bodybuilding and it's not worth it. If you're not competing what is the point of taking tren, and those who are competing test their blood work all the time to stay on top of it.
U should be doing bloodwork once a year as an adult man even if u aren't on gear.
If u take gear then I'd do it every 3.or.4 months
I read this as: "there's a life after bodybuilding and it's not worth it" as in bodybuilding is the most important thing and everything after is not worth living 😂
Dorian said this on Rogan as well and he’s 100% correct. If you’re taking steroids to look good or place 3rd at a local show you’re an idiot because it’s not good for you.
As messed up as it sounds some ppl do it because they go with the saying that goes "im here for a good time not a long time" some of this ppl just want the temporary pleasure of being accepted into this fitness society we live in now
Yea people underestimate how toxic tren is. I tried it at 70mg a week and got terrible acid reflux a few days in and dropped it
Classic Physique is the type of bodybuilding that looks the best to me. Just being massive stops looking good or cool
Agreed. Somewhere around the Dorian Yates era ('92-'97), professional bodybuilders started looking monstrous and unhealthy.
Professional bodybuilding in general is not a good look - even classic physique. Too veiny and bulky. In real life and day to day - being the size of a natural bodybuilder works fine. Gets the job done. And you’re not taking years off your lifespan for no real benefit.
you think classic physique dont look huge? just see them in real life they are fking massive compared to average bodybuilder or any oerson
Classic guys are massive next to normal jacked dudes at the gym.
Natural bodybuilding is the best
Stay natural boys
Come over to the dark side.. 😈
Natural is for beta males
@@Cas_anova I cant understand why anyone would go on the gear unless they wanted to compete.
TRT good after 40
@edwardburroughs1489 there is a very good argument for TRT or cruise dose of testosterone actually having a positive impact longterm compared to not being on and being in mid or lower levels of natural test levels.
There are a bunch of studies showing TRT lowers all cause mortality, adds on about 10 years to average male lifespans.
Then you have the cruise small cycle dose that's puts you around 2000ng/dl testosterone level, longterm this can work and actually have a great impact as long as ur bloodwork is improving and you have no sides.
It's a complicated issue but there are alot of reasons to go on besides just competing
Thank you for asking the difficult questions in a positive light.
To compete at the highest level you need to take a pretty wild amount of steroids. Bodybuilders like Bumstead keep mentioning that they are monitoring their bloodwork and that the results have been fine so far, but that paints a very limited picture of the potential damage longterm.
What bloodwork tests specifically are being monitored?
No you don't
@@Josephv3848metabolic blood panel, lipids, hemoglobin, hematocrit, a1c, etc. more advanced people do regular ekg’s and organ imaging

@@joelacey4804your Mom does! 🖕
The study on humans is not publically available. But on horses and bulls you can find a view reasonable good things. You would be surprised how little doses those 1t+ animals get.
Most drugs work by prohibiting the limiting hormones that tell your body you have grown enough.
So you still need to scale your cortisol production, protein synthesis and how much your blood can transport, your "immunesystem" can convert into tissue etc. Once you scaled those systems enough you need little to none so your body doesn't get rid of unnecessary weight. It's like controlled cancer.
You could also use growth hormones from other animals. That would be uncontrolled cancer that will stop growing at some point.
Pretty sure I'd be dead by now if I had carried on my tren use from a decade ago. Id be lying if I said I haven't been tempted to use it again though, just because its so damn effective when compared to every other steroid. I do believe it may be a major culprit when it comes to a lot of bodybuilder deaths in recent years.

@@billytheripper4 you sweat a lot on it, waking up at night bed sheets absolutely soaking was a regular thing.

Chris has to be one of the most sensible bodybuilders to ever walk the Earth.
I've been saying for 2-3 years at this point how harmful tiktokers have in terms of making steroids seem like no big deal...really glad chris is on the same page. People always make excuses for influencers saying it's "not a big deal" as if we're not talking about potentially life altering compounds. Not to mention, hardly any of the kids taking shit are going through the rigorous health screening that a pro bodybuilder is.
I used to look at dudes in the gym with the most mass and think that was the ideal aesthetic. After learning about how closely cardiorespiratory fitness is correlated with longevity that same physique looks imbalanced to me. Athletic physiques with plenty of muscle but also lean enough to be well conditioned seems more fit, and huge dudes just seem silly and neglectful.
Spoken like someone who couldn't get there ever so decided to ridicule instead!
@rde7202 Bodybuilding is not about strength at all so your comment is pretty irrelevant to this video!
@rde7202 Curios where you heard stregnth is harder to maintain as you age? Strongmen & powerlifters tend not to peak until late 30's even then grip stregnth doesnt peak till later than that. Cardio drops off alot faster than stregnth i've heard some studies show elderly people cardio can reset to baseline after just two weeks without training

This is the info that needs to be out there for up and comers. Just because some things work doesn't mean it's worth it, and even when it works it doesn't mean it will put you on the level of CBUM and his contemporaries. The tren twins are jacked but they'll be dead by 30-35 if they keep going like they are. I'm just at the start of bodybuilding but I'm already noticing how taxing it is to the body to train with extreme intensity (beyond failure etc, I'm natural so I gotta work extra hard I guess), it's almost impossible to have a full student plus work life on top... But when I ask myself the questions "do you want an average body and live long or do you want maximum performance now?" I'll say second. So I don't think I'll dial back for now. I was considering hopping on TRT when I went to Thailand. Got my T levels checked at a Mens Health Clinic (hormone test cause i'm on Accutane medication and wanted to check my bloodwork) and My T levels had increased since i previously checked them 3 months prior. Doc said there was no reason to hop on TRT at my age unless I wanted to become a bodybuilder so natty we stay. I just wanted to recover faster and build muscle at a more rapid pace, but committing to a PED when I'm already a healthy young man isn't worth it.
Same boat. At 38 I’m still well into the normal range. What convinced me I wasn’t ready was once you start you have to keep it pretty much forever
Just a tip about bloodwork:
Taking a random test like that is just a snapshot of your values at THAT very moment. There's a lot of things that can effect your test levels....sleep, food, time of day etc. It can vary between high and low on a single day depending on different factors. People who do TRT needs to do several tests consistently to see if test levels are within range over a certain time. Would be a waste if you had "low" test just because you had a bad night sleep and ate like crap.
