Personally for me, I came from Top 500 in Overwatch, so I was already aware of how to play as a team and make callouts, but sometimes I forget that not everyone has that experience. Not everyone knows that in a team based game, no amount of God tier play will let you win (unless the enemy team themselves make mistakes). If you look at VODS from top players like Aceu, he dies all the time off drop, and he is arguably one of the best at dropping solo and playing in general, if he can’t 1v10 the whole building, then most of us certainly can’t. It’s not necessarily a skill issue, it’s a numbers issue. It’s like being in a real life fight. Jackie Chan is a decorated martial artist, and when asked what to do when facing multiple attackers, he says to RUN. No amount of fighting ability will let you overpower a team unless they just stand there and let you do what you want, which isn’t gonna happen.

Mango I just found your channel like a week ago and man you’ve quickly become one of my favorite apex creators. I was wanting to give up on the ranked grind but you have me motivated to keep pushing! Thanks for all your hard work!
I got 2 Japanese players in solo que that said nice every 5 seconds, got a pretty good game and didn't miss alot of my shots, so in short i got some motivating people, im surprised to how good I was doing cause they kept giving me small compliments like "your strong" and "nice" made me feel great. We got the win cause I managed to kill an entire team on high ground from a weirdly placed port.
Yeah I was playing ranked the other day and my two teammates died with the enemies still right on top of their death boxes so I decided to play for placement but 3rd party whenever I could and one dude hopped out of his party and said “you’re doing really good” and “your gun control is on point” and also pointed out that the compliments were from both him and his friend he was partied up with. Felt really nice to hear and I remembered that for the rest of the day honestly.
Ye compliments are important to performance. My friends need to learn this lol. They only focus on the mistakes I made instead of the times I popped off and it's hard to do good becuz they keep trash talking instead of supporting me
Great tips. Every one is useful. Blindingly obvious once someone draws your attention to them but so hard to find while stumbling through games. #4 and #6 were huge takeaways for me on this video. Many thanks👏🏻👍🏻
Always enjoy the content Mango. Strangely I noticed that I actually play worse with a pre-made squad than I do solo queue or no-filling. Can't explain why. Maybe it has something to do with subconciously relying on my team instead of my own skill. Side note. 5:03 This is what happens everytime I use the wingman. Hate that gun.
Same lol. I play with two of my boys at the end of the night everyday and we get 1 win only. One of them tho is on the same level as me and when we play together just us two with a third random we get 2-3 wins, the other one tho I’ll acknowledge he’s the weak link but thinks he’s hella good. BUT when I play with a complete random squad, I get literally 7-8 wins a session and half the time there’s no communication cus they have no mic, just pinging. It’s crazy to me haha. I only played apex during season 0 then stopped and made a come back to the game at the end of last season

Great videos with great advice. I really struggle with this game. I Solo Queue which I now is not ideal. Randonmsd are just that and so unpredictable. My aim is not good enough to target headshots only, I do try, but miss a lot because of that. I end up using a full clip and the other guy just wont die. And then just like that within seconds, I'm dead. I find it almost impossible to reload, reposition, heal up, find cover and attack all at the same time. Pretty much spend most of my time watching the loading sceen. HAHAHA. I watch you videos and others, too get tips etc. but I guess my reflexes are not good enough. I love this game, but, it is like playing Golf. You have one or two decent goes and the rest is just slicing into the weeds. Anyway keep up the great content and advice, even if I cant make use of it. XD
I got diamond from solo queuing and it is painful and also the things like movement you mentioned in this video I am a wraith main you basically plays like raise so I do to much movement and rush without teammates thinking they are with me and die. After this I have tried fixing these problems and when I stick with my team, not overuse my movement and to just play smarter I got higher a lot faster and easier.
I’ve been playing about 3 months now and only ever solo queued. My kd is only 2.3 and I have barely any sanity left. Absolutely agree that solo q is just bad.
Reached couple times platinum 3 and two with solo queuing, And it looks hard and frustrating sometimes with random teammates to reach higher for me, for the reasons you told in this video , dying to fast because of bad decisions, not using mic (except when they die and want to start being toxic) to spread out etc etc. Using mic in this game is so important .
I find it funny how I learn lots of movement tricks but never end up needing to use them. The Solo Q tip is so true for everyone that has. Lol great video tho.
Being aggressive on a "support" is mostly the reason i go down. Though I do recon (mainly seer) since if i can see the enemy location, i can try being more aggressive since they won't necessarily see me, like when using the ultimate.
I would like and watch a video on how the match making really work. Just found your channel a couple of days ago love the content and the skate videos. Keep up the hard work man!
Mango I have a quick question for you, so what reticle color do you recommend? Do you think it’s beneficial to change? or would you say just go for Amy favorite color, would love to hear your thoughts and always great video thanks
But fr something I hate my teammates doing is focusing too much on that player they knocked. When were all in a room and its a whole other squad in the same room, they still keep focusing on the knocked player. Then we die because they didnt shoot at the alive ones. I know why they do it but its not in the right time, and it pisses me more off.
One problem I have is trying to keep up with my aggressive teammates as a support character. I play wattson or lifeline or something and I feel like if I’m not running and gunning with them, they may think I’m useless, it’s cool if we are winning but if they get downed and it’s up to me to clutch and it doesn’t happen, they get pissed
I can agree with over peeking and wrong decisions everything else is iffy. All legends no matter the style can be used just getting familiar is key, solo queuing can be bad but a lot of the time you can still communicate because they can hear you and type, op windows can go both ways because just knowing shield and cooldowns can work but if they’ve been hiding a kbar and you think the time is now and get one tapped then oh oh, lastly movement is what it is you’ve just like you said you’ve got to learn
Im going to be 100% real here, i saw this video a couple of times and when i played it felt different in the term of i started hugging corners more not exposing my self and letting the enemy try to run me off and usually ends up with me winning the gunfight! Totally recommend!

I found that I die worrying too much about keeping my teammates alive (I solo que pretty much all the time). The reason I say this is because in PUBS I play with the thought in my mind that my teammates will DC as soon as they get knocked (this usually always happens), so in PUBS while playing I get way more kills and I'm not very concerned with dying. Yet I can't have this same mentally in ranked because, whether or not most people want to admit it, your teammates can come in clutch for the win. But I will say that I found that I've found that if have teammates that are capable of knowing when to push and when not to push, when to heal and when to cover, etc. I can walk away with about 6 kills (the most I've had in ranked is 11). But I play way too cautiously in ranked, not just due to me being afraid of losing RP, but that if I get knocked there's a huge chance my teammate won't revive me or try to recover my banner. So I play a bit more cautiously so I won't get knocked once during a match.
I do alright solo queuing because most people in the match are solo queued as well so therefore at the same disadvantage, problem is winning because if there Is a teaming working in coordination, they will likely take the win in the final round.

Another one I add is pick the right spot to jump/land when I play with randoms I usually see my teammates immediately jump to the hotspots where there is multiple teams are most likely to land and you then rushing to find a weapon and you come across one or two players who have weapons and you get killed and your teammate have gone to other spot were they had time to find a weapons and ammo and among other things to be prepared if you land were not every team is going to land you have more time to be prepared

Don't have many friends so all the games I play even apex I solo play I even stopped playing destiny cause I didn't have the right gear cause I couldn't and in apex I'm garbage and I would constantly feel terrible for getting knocked every fight and leaving my teammate to fight on his/her own
I mainly do solo queuing bc my friends play on xbox and I'm the only one on PC and they hate playing on my lobbies so I don't have much choice that's the main reason I'm tryna get better
Solo queuing isn’t fun, but it makes you a lot better than playing with others. If you want to get better at playing your life and fighting, play solo ranked. Arenas can be good for learning to play life as well.
Yes I'd like to see how the matchmaking works, I realized I'm good enough to hang in platinum lobbies & tried for diamond but if I can't do it alone. This is my first video & I like the vibe here 🤟🏾
I solo que a lot, my friends not always online or i'm not when they are so when I'm solo 80% team mates are being pretty good. Yesterday we won 5 times from 12 matches
I'm in between main Wraith , Valk , Mirage , Fuse , Bloodhound , loba or Gibby( Also Ash before I forget). Is just I like to play as them but I never stay a month playing as one cause I like to switch between them is really hard for me to choose , sometimes I like to be aggressive or some times just recon for my squads or protect my squads but maybe it's just me
So I've been playing apex for a month now since I quit 2.5 years ago and I solo queued all the way to diamond 4 does that mean I'm an average player or above average?
Bru ur litrary like God of advice I got my 4k on octane because of your guide on the legends and I got a 3.4k DMG batch because of this vid , thank you man I really hope you suceed in youtube and don't listen to haters , I'll also be joining your discord:) good day mate
Yeah i agree with the first tip like come on man a guy tried to 360 me and died horribly like if u wanna do that use a gun that does a high damage per shot not a damn prowler
I just get really unlucky in BRs lol this is my first season playing apex ever and I’m rank 130 and I’ve made it to diamond too it’s just I’m unlucky and get pinned by 4 teams it’s so annoying cuz I like the game but it’s hard to keep playing lol

:proceeds to be hyper aggressive with lifeline and ignores a ez safe Rez
Solo queue is a pain for you cuz of teammates, premade queue is a pain cuz of overestimated elo and too strong enemies
I mainly do solo queuing bc my friends play on xbox and I'm the only one on PC and they hate playing on my lobbies so I don't have much choice that's the main reason I'm tryna get better
Great vid! This helps more than I thought lol
Finally a channel that tells me crazy walljump, tapstrafe and superglids aren't nessesary unless ur extreme sweaty wraith pro
Yes, please explain the matchmaking further thanks
Last night I was just me vs a full masters team in pubs and I couldn't even poke out to take a shot
I’ve subscribed for a while now. I’m loving all these videos and it has helped improve a lot. Thank you‼️
What would it take to get one coaching lesson? And how do I get one I feel like I have a lot of potential but I have issues I can’t see
Solo queuing isn’t fun, but it makes you a lot better than playing with others. If you want to get better at playing your life and fighting, play solo ranked. Arenas can be good for learning to play life as well.
Yes I'd like to see how the matchmaking works, I realized I'm good enough to hang in platinum lobbies & tried for diamond but if I can't do it alone. This is my first video & I like the vibe here 🤟🏾
Do you coach players who're on apex mobile?
Just subscribed :) I like your content
I solo que a lot, my friends not always online or i'm not when they are so when I'm solo 80% team mates are being pretty good. Yesterday we won 5 times from 12 matches
Great video as always!!
Back tail shove was steezy! Apex and skating are my top favorite things to do keep it up!!!
i swear all of your videos are so helpful. You've earned yourself a sub.
I'm in between main Wraith , Valk , Mirage , Fuse , Bloodhound , loba or Gibby( Also Ash before I forget). Is just I like to play as them but I never stay a month playing as one cause I like to switch between them is really hard for me to choose , sometimes I like to be aggressive or some times just recon for my squads or protect my squads but maybe it's just me
Great video earned a new sub
Back Tail Shuv was bolts. As was that varial. Steezy!
I low key need help… I will crack someone and also get cracked now… with that said it’s like I don’t know when to heal or when to push
Can somebody give me some type of general way to know when to heal and when to play aggressive
I stand behind my Rampart walls like a bot and melt all day long. They can't resist, they have to peak.
Is the teamwork badge hard to get cause I got it ages ago
I think my biggest problem in Apex is getting to aggressive when I do good damage, and smell blood in the water so to speak
Yeah i agree with the first tip like come on man a guy tried to 360 me and died horribly like if u wanna do that use a gun that does a high damage per shot not a damn prowler
Sorry! I watched 2-3 your vids and learn something new.. but i keep forgetting to subs to your channel! Thanks legend!
Simple left and right strafing is enough to dodge bullets, diego and shiv are good examples
I always remember this dude when he mentions skating
I be knocking a player down then 2 seconds later another person comes and I die
I just get really unlucky in BRs lol this is my first season playing apex ever and I’m rank 130 and I’ve made it to diamond too it’s just I’m unlucky and get pinned by 4 teams it’s so annoying cuz I like the game but it’s hard to keep playing lol
The thing that keeps happening is i get 2 low or knock 2 then my 2 teammates still die to 1 guy
