I remember seeing Jack and Jorma in Toronto in 1967 with the Airplane. They were very young and very inspiring. In those days people used to jump on stage and dance, everybody gave the band space and respect. It’s wonderful to see them in good health and good form.
@CTMD Oh Realize your post is a year old. However, would like to say Jorma's voice at 80 is very different from when he was 40! Much deeper now, think i might prefer it now, compared to when he was younger!
Saw them again last night 10/4/2023, I been watching them since the Jefferson airplane days, they never disappoint, a litter slower moving, like myself at 76, they are in their 80's, ill be there soon i hope. They played so well last night, my 21st time seeing them
I appreciated this interview and performance with these guys. I grew up listening and was lucky to see Hot Tuna live in the 70's. Thanks for the memories guys!
The irony of it all: Jorma Kaukonen is a 100% Finnish name and he's actually my grandmother's 12th cousin. Of course everyone knows about Jorma's Finnish roots, but just to point it out.
Excuse Me, saw Hot Tuna at Central Park, Shaf Music festival, short story, Jorma played Mann,s Fate song electric, this is like almost impossible, impossibly done, you take an acoustic hand picking song with all those notes, speed it up by 2, with all that resinous of an electric guitar, clipping notes, UNBELIEVABLE, Jorma is UNBELIEVABLE...was it 1975...yes, central park, ny
I always love comments like this on a five year old video, like we're all right there ready to serve up that answer for any random question. Thumbs up.
Great chemistry between the interviewer and the band. As we have all seen or heard this is not always the case. Very entertaining!

I remember hanging out with Rick Danco and Jorma at Hunt's in Burlington VT.....That was 1986. That was a long night and a good time !

National treasures! Jorma & Jack…❤️❤️❤️
I got to see Jorma in a little place called the turning point a few times in Village of Piermont N.Y. in 1987
Fantastic interview with a knowledgeable interlocutor who has done his homework.
Mahalo brother
Delightful interview. I love hearing Jorma and Jack’s stories.
Two of the finest men in rock.
love these guys
Huge fan since very early 70s. I think I just realized that Jorma is really a very funny guy - great comic timing and quick mind.
True icons of American music!

I saw Jack and Jorma at the KSAN radio studio (live) back in 1971 I believe. It wasn't really a public appearance.
Jorma loves the sound of his own voice.

Jorma's roots are partly from Finland, proud to be Finnish. : )
My two heroes ❤❤❤
spouses come & go. friends play forever.
I guess Jack is Felix and Jorma is Oscar. :) And I learned who Frosty is/was!
Lee Michaels and Frosty were headliners at the first concert I ever attended. 1969 Pasadena Ca.
I think the interviewer said 2015, not 2019?
2015 was the first visit/interview
Discipline in life.
Is that an acoustic bass or an electric bass?
