Yep, official diversions will never be down a single track road. Even so I was approx 35 miles from the end of my 220 mile journey home, when I was diverted on the A35 one night. Cars and trucks on narrow 2 lane roads still don't travel all that fast. So I had a hour added to the trip. I felt knackered arriving home at 10.30 at night. Next morning too!
